The Things Kids Say

1. Ellis and I were at the doctors office when he points to a woman with a nose ring and stud in her cheek and asks (very loudly) 'What's she got plugged into her face?'. I tried to explain that they are like earings but just in other parts of your face. Then he turns and point to a bald man and asks 'Where is all that man's hair?.


2. Today Bryn asked me a question i really had difficulty answering. He asked 'Why is Africa so poor?'. I guess there is no clear answer to that one is there? Or at least, how to get them out of poverty.

3. After dinner, Bryn put his hand on my tummy and asked 'Do you have a baby in there mummy?' I said 'No, why do you ask? Would you like us to have a baby in the family?' and he replied 'No, it just that your tummy looks so big, like Michelle's tummy (a friend who is pregnant right now). Oh dear, time for a diet I guess! :) We were joking about it afterwards and Ellis said 'You have a baby in your tummy mummy. You ate it!'.

Defeated... As expected.
