This past weekend Savanna and I joined daddy as he headed to St. George for work. Once at the hotel on Thursday, we asked Savanna if she was enjoying her vacation, to which she replied, "I'm not on vacation yet, only mommy and daddy are". I guess as long as we are in the same state, vacations aren't real to this little girl. But I am sure it changed once her and daddy jumped in the swimming pool and played for a little while. On Friday we wasted some time by shopping at the outlet mall, Savanna found matching dresses for her and her baby sister to wear once she makes her debut in 7 weeks. We then joined the rest of the Meyers family for a little family trip. We met up with them at Great Grandma Meyers house, this was actually the first time that all 5 of her great grandchildren were there at once. I'm sure she enjoyed getting to see how big they all are getting, we were just sad that we couldn't get over to the rehab center to see grandpa. We are sure grateful for all of their love and support, and miss not getting to see them too often. After our visit with grandma, we loaded up the vehicles and headed out to LAS VEGAS. The kids couldn't get to the swimming pool fast enough once we arrived. The water was very refreshing to this pregnant woman, and the kids enjoyed it as well. Friday nights dinner consisted of The Cheesecake Factory, then movies in the hotel room. Saturday we spent more time at the swimming pool, and then the kids were ready for naps. Ambur opted to stay back in the room while the rest of us adults went and ate at the Bellagio Buffet.....KING CRAB LEGS!!!! After dinner we ran back to the hotel and picked Ambur and the kids up to head out for some family fun. We tried going to Circus Circus, but it was packed and looking pretty dirty, so we opted for M&M World and the arcade below it. I'm pretty sure that it was stinkin' hot outside, and I was melting away each passing minute. The kids had fun playing for about an hour, then we started to head back to the hotel. Steve, Savanna, Grandma Mary, and I stopped at Coke World and snapped a picture with the Coke Bear. Savanna was fine at arms length and when he patted mom on the head. Once back to the room, the kids ran around for a little bit, then they all started to cash out for the night. The adults sat around and chatted until the early morning hours. Sunday we packed up and headed home while the rest of the clan stayed until Monday. It was a fun vacation, but I think I need a vacation just to recoup. We love getting to spend time with the Meyers side of the family! Thanks for such a fun trip!
