Give Me Hope
This one stands out to me:
While I was at the foodcourt in a mall, a beautiful girl my age came up to me and hugged me with tears in her eyes. When I finally got her to calm down, I realised she was the girl I'd pulled out of a tub with slashes on her wrists. (I'm a paramedic). Her appreciation GMH.
Other people's boyfriends take them out for elaborate meals, and buy them Tiffany bracelets. My boyfriend, though, is eighteen, lives by himself, goes to school, pays rent and has no money. Our dates are nights in with movies. When I see him going through his change jar to treat me to some chocolate, it makes me wanna cry. His love GMH.
Thousands of heartwarming stories, but when you do something, not expecting anything in return, and then get shown that appreciation....the feeling is priceless.
Your appreciation GMH.

Follower
I haven't been blogging for a while now; incessant mis-communications and misunderstandings from previous relationships that stemmed via blogging effectively killed my appetite for airing my views so publicly (you'll find that during the time I'm attached, I don't blog unless I'm depressed, and only start again when I'd broken up). Somehow I've found that expressing whatever I have to say in person is always so much better; I'm pretty convincing in person, but I always seem to draw hostile misunderstandings no matter where I post on the net. Ok I'm exaggerating. Maybe its the style of writing? I dunno lol..but oh well here goes nothing.
Avatar rocks. Best show I've watched this year. Actually its the first show I've ever watched this year xD ...it relays the 'nature is important' message so much more effectively than that crappy cartoon Pocahontus (did I spell that correctly?). All that cartoon ever had of note was that song. Storyline does have a couple of loopholes, but all in all pretty good directing, and great effects. Watch it in 3D folks, if you haven't already.
New MechWarrior series coming out...series has been rewound to just after the 3rd Succession Wars...I don't know if I wanna cheer for the continuation of the series (MW4 gets old after like 5 years), or feel weepy that there won't be any Clan tech available in that particular era.
And...to my 'follower'...why are you following my blog when I haven't updated for sooooo long???

Pajamas
Out of all those I'd ever gone an extra mile to help, you remembered.
Thank you so much for that.
It gives me courage to carry on.

A compendium of disaster
George Caulkin, in TheGame supplement of The Times, provides as good a summary of Newcastle United's plight as we've seen:
Ashley has been incapable of stringing two good decisions together and the outcome has been utterly destructive.
He arrived preaching the long-term and then sacked Sam Allardyce.
He tapped into Newcastle’s emotions by appointing Kevin Keegan and then tied his hands together.
He recognised the need to have a football department, but chose Dennis Wise to lead it.
He accepted reality last autumn and decided to sell the club. But Joe Kinnear as an interim manager?
He took the club off the market, promised to communicate more with supporters and then did nothing of the sort.
He vowed to run a dangerously spendthrift club on a sound financial footing, but made a profit in the transfer market when the team was in dire need of strengthening.
Finally, he brought in Shearer, who could do little to prevent Newcastle’s slide into the Coca Cola Championship, but restored discipline to the training-ground, provided a link with fans and reviewed of all playing matters at the club.
Ashley admitted his mistakes and said that hiring Shearer was his “best decision”.
He then ignored him, putting out the for sale signs, not wishing to leave new owners in the same position he inherited. It has been a compendium of disaster.
