nah proof, i'm alive and well

i've been very busy splitting my time between the real world and lala land :p no time to blog :(


hmmm, uni life have been quite hectic, exam is 2 weeks away ! i still have alot of notes to study and memorise and there won't be any study break before the exam :((((( unbelievable

days seem to just slip away without me realizing. With exams drawing near, it also means semester 1 is coming to an end ! and we are already halfway through 2011.
*2012 is cominggg !* haahahh


midnight snack and coffeeee

A few days ago, my stress level was so high, i had a mental meltdown :( alot of sudden things just pop-ed up and made me realise how far behind i was with my revision. It was like a reality check, a timely one though. And it felt strangely good to just go to bed after draining all my energy holding back my tears while talking to adik on the phone. I'm all good now, no worries.


this made my day today :)

caught this sunset while driving back home after spending the afternoon studying in uni today. I parked the car outside of the house, got down, and started snapping away with my i-phone :)

baby steps, slow yet steady.

I'm really sorry i don't do detail story telling because i'll put you to sleep, and because i'm better at summing up things and answering those little questions lingering in your tiny tiny minds.

So if you've been thinking i was very busy with studies, bingo ! you're partly correct. I've been busy juggling between studies and having fun, with the latter being the winner ! wohoooo ! i'm still a little sloww with studies and its tough i tell you, TOUGH, but i'll find my way through it, no doubts :) and yes, so far no regrets doing dentistry !

I had a really good kick start with uni life with all the orientation activities, outings, and 'bonding sharing' sessions. Extremely happy and thankful to get to know all the awesome friends in uni for every night i go to sleep with happy memories to keep and lessons to learn * insert heart* :)

THIS is the beginning of a long longg journey to get the license to drill heh ! and for future doctors, your license to heal ! i know deep down it won't be easy, but i already have the coolest bunch of people on the same ride :) SO just bring it on !!!

very sorry for the lack of updates, i'm just pure lazy and very caught up with amazing crafty, d.i.y, inspiration blogs filled with gorgeous pictures. ahhh the joy of looking at pretty things ! will link them up at the side bar :)

okayyy so random updates

#1 went to batu caves with my cousin bro, adik and a friend for thaipusam ! we didn't climb the stairs into the cave because it was really really packed. there's this carnival atmosphere there with a lot of stalls selling food, drinks, punjabi suits etc etc.

it was an eye opener to observe the whole celebration, the people carrying those huge colourful kavadis, people getting their hair shaved and all the body piercing. no live action of people getting pieced though, which i was looking forward to but everything that was going on at the place was so new and interesting ! and not to forget the place is so cooling and the cave looks magnificent from the outside ! will make another trip there to explore the inside of the cave :)

#2 ahhh yes chinese new year ! well this year there's a long holiday building up to the actual celebration so when the first day of cny comes the excitement wears off a little already. as usual, after a simple reunion dinner at home, we went to the village temple to pray and watch the lion dance performance when the clock strikes 12, followed by non-stop free fireworks display ! ahhh so nice to just stand there and watch those beautiful fireworks and the weather was so windy and cooling ! bliss.

the rest of cny was the usual eat, drink, collect ang pow, catch up with cousins uncle aunties. this year i actually ate very very little meat during cny. i don't know why but when i see all those dishes of chicken cooked in various styles, roast pork, roast duck and all on the table the only dishes that looked appealing to me was the vegetables and the soup. that's all. it's not that the other dishes didn't look delicious, they do ! they taste even better i'm very suree but mehhhh way too much meat i only want to eat vege and drink soup. come to think of it cny this year was rather simple for me, not much visiting, not much eating, didn't gamble but still alot of snacking and spent quality times with the family and cousins !

oh ! we went mamak-ing on the second night! after releasing kong ming lanterns at the field, one uncle suggested to check out this mamak stall in the village. nobody knows the existence of that mamak stall not even my cousin who lives opposite the place where it is situated. its a chinese village after all and we were the only chinese there that night. first time mamak-ing with the cousins ! even my grandmother joined us ! so much fun !

boys and girls, this is how a rubber estate looks like !

on the third day of cny, everybody was lazing around at my aunt's place after lunch, and then my other aunties wanted to visit this rubber estate where my aunt work at. soooo a bunch of us hopped into 2 cars and off we go !

my grandmother was a rubber tapper in the earlier days, my mum and most of my aunties followed my grandmother to tape rubber when they were young. soooo going to a rubber estate after so manny years must have been very nostalgic for them, they started telling stories of their adventures in the rubber estate.

the place was heavily infested with mosquitoes my mummy made a fire. according to her the smoke from the fire make the mosquitoes go away and she was so right ! it worked better than mosquito repellent incense. after early dinner that day my family and i went back to kl, thank god the traffic wasn't very bad. cny celebration continues in kl with lots of snacking at home.


#3 terrariums i made !

i saw this at one of those inspiration blogs i mentioned and fell in love with them ! haaha they're sooo pretty i have to made some for myself. surprisingly they can last for quite long. new shoots grew on the second week, and they're going into the 4th week now. i didn't give them much attention after the second week, didn't let them get some sun so the new shoots are wilting. anyways here's the tutorial !

so i guess most of you already know jasper was admitted for purging blood, vomiting and being stubborn ! well being stubborn sure does involve in the process of getting admitted. this little thing wouldn't eat the pills given after the first visit to the vet and she got so so so weak she didn't respond to greenies ! greenies = jasper's fav snack = jasper worship them=jasper's god in all seriousness, i'm not exaggerating. so that was how bad her condition was, everybody in the house got so worried, the 3rd morning we got her admitted. anyways she's all good now ! so no worries ! if everything goes well she's coming home tomorrow !! the house is so quite without her around.


okay that's all ! phew. uni starts tomorrowww ! i'm excited and nervous ! need to go pack my pencil case and my school bag ! haahah ! okay not funny

end of year toast !

Its still raining :( the downside of having a solar powered water heater on days like this is that i have to shiver in the shower waiting for hot water that never come and cancel the thought of washing my hair so it'll smell good on the last day of the year.

This year have been pretty good! Planned things turned out superbly well, meet new people and most of them are really nice people :) and of course there's some glitches and misses but all is well, thankyou buddha ! Lesson learnt of the year is to never judge nor label people as everyone has their own reasons behind, and that would be my resolution for 2011. I think i'll start doing monthly resolutions. I think it will be more relevant that way rather than listing out a whole list of them at the beginning of the year becauseeee " The only thing that is constant is change". So yeaah can't wait for 2011 or rather can't wait to start uni ! I hope i won't regret saying that.

Anyway to the few of you who comes here and read my nonsense, Hi ! thankyou so much for being such a wonderful bunch of friends! If i've done anything, intentionally or unintentionally, that have hurt you or upset you, i sincerely ask for forgiveness. To strangers, Hi ! i hope you were entertained by my nonsense as much as my sister does :)
