Christmas 2008

Well Christmas has come and gone! Santa came and brought the kids some fun things and some yummy treats. This year the girls set out cookies, carrots, and milk and left a note for Santa. They were so excited when they woke up and the cookies, carrots and milk were all gone and they got a note right back.

This is the very first Christmas we have had in our own home. We always have a fresh cut tree that we hunt or if we are at my families for Thanksgiving Jeremy's family will get one for us. It always smells good and I love not having to store it when we are finished. This years is a bit goofy looking but we like it.
It was so fun for Santa to come and visit us here and we didn't have to haul all of the presents to and from anyplace. Olivia stayed in her PJ's all day and Claira got her new dress from grandma on and Ryland got some new clothes on. After a while we went over to Granny's and had some breakfast and opened more presents and played. They we came home and rested for a few hours and then had some ham, potatoes, rolls and pie at Granny's. (For Jenee, I have forgot the oven for a roast before. Lucky you had a precooked ham we didn't!!! It was roast the next night!)

All in all we had a great Christmas. We have got to spend a lot of time together just the five of us. Jeremy has had a few days off and will until Monday. It has been nice to just be together without work, school, and being on the go. I am so thankful for my family and what wonderful kids I have and for all Jeremy does for us. I feel incredibly blessed this holiday season!

Ryland Sitting

Here are some pictures of Ryland sitting up by himself and then he scoots back when he tries to go forward so he ended up at the end of our bed (that he pooped on that morning)!! He is just growing like a weed!
We had to take him to the doctor a few weeks ago for ear infections and when we took him back this week for a re check he weighted 20lbs, 4oz. I can't believe how fast he grows!!
This first picture is my favorite! The rest are just him scooting back and getting frusterated he is going the wrong way.

A Bit about everything

So a little history on Olivia being a sparkle fairy. I could not find a decent cheerleader costume for her this year. That is what she really wanted to be. So I went to Kings one day and found some fairy wings for just a dollar and some purple sparkle hair spray and thought that I could come up with something. The hair spray did it! Olivia really wants her hair color to be different so all I had to do was suggest spraying her hair and she was in. I bought some purple tights and a purple sparkly shirt and we were good to go! Claira wore Olivia's dance outfit from last year with some new tights and fairy wings and she was quite happy also! We went to a pumpkin walk and looked at some fun pumpkins and trick or treated there and then went over to Olivia's school for a trick or trunk! The girls had a blast they wanted to keep on going ( I was tired!!) So here are some pictures of the pumkin walk and Olivia's favorite one!! I heard about this all night when she went with her school.

Halloween

Halloween! Olivia dressed up as a purple sparkle fairy and Claira was Aroura. We didn't dress Ryland up because he is to little. So anyhow here are some pictures!

Just a thought!

I got this as a forward in my e-mail and thought it was something to think about. I really liked it!

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. 'That laundry is not very clean', she said. 'She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap'
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: 'Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?'The husband said, 'I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.'
And so it is with life. What we see when watching others, depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and ask ourselves if we are ready to see the good rather than to be looking for something in the person we are about to judge.

Ryland

He started on the other side of the gym and ended up here!

Here is Jeremy's personality coming through! Not very amused with this mommy!!
This one is just showing how recently he has learned to hold his own bottle!

Well we are just over 6 months and Ryland has started to roll front to back and back to front. Now if someone wants to see him good luck. He does not perform, but I did get some pictures of him moving. He really wanted to get Jeremy's boots and by golly he did! I can't believe how much he changing and growing!

OLIVIA

So miss Olivia Grace pulled out her second tooth. Yeah we have been waiting for a couple of months for the thing to come out. She was very excited and called her dad to tell him and things were great. A few hours later she is whining that she wants her tooth back because it feels funny! Are you serious!!!! She complained for a couple of days. That child makes me crazy!!

Dinner Tonight

So I am trying to be really good at not eating out so I have been cooking a lot lately. Mostly we eat speghetti, stir fry, tacos ect. Well today I was looking through the most fabulous cook book and came upon a recipe for pasty pie or something of that sort. Well while Iwas growing up we occasionally had pasties, so I thought to myself let have pasty's. Now those of you who are not from Montana may not know what that is. Basically you cook some burger, onions, garlic, and potatoes and wrap it in a home made pie crust and bake. This was my first attemp and it turned out yummy!! UGLY but YUMMY!

Ryland is 6 mo. Old!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of him. He is always sticking his tongue out.

This is grandma's outfit 6-12mo. Fits just right! Thank you Grandma!
These are my scooting pictures. I had him at my feet the other day and in just a couple of minutes he would be three feet away from me. He may not be crazy about rolling over but he is going places!!

Well Ryland is now past the 6 month mark! Yikes time seems to just be slipping away. He went to the doctor today and weighed in at 18lb 3oz. he was 26 1/2 inches long. WOW! He was going to be my petite baby! I guess not so much.

Pictures of Ryland and the girls

So I have taken some more cute pictures of the kids. Ryland has tried some squash and peas and let me tell you the kid will eat rice cereal like it is the last meal he will ever have but the veggies are a no go. He is most definatly not a fan. Now for those of you with babies around Rylands age they have these fantastic mesh things that you put food in and they hold a ring and suck the food through the mesh. He loves when I give him that with mashed potatoes and other things. You can get them in the baby section at Target and Walmart. Okay so here is the picture of him with some of the food.

This one is the girls coloring. My table is always covered with markers and paper and scissors. This is their favorite activity. (Mostly Olivia's but Claira will color also)

Here they all are poseing for the camra! We are working on taking one of Olivia's teeth out. She lost one a month or so ago and has had a second one loose for a while and it is ready to fall out. I am to grossed out with the whole pulling the tooth out so she is just going to have to wait for Daddy!! Ryland thinks they are a hoot! I am alway telling them to get out of his face, yet he never compains or fusses when they are!

The last one is Ryland yesterday after he got all cleaned up. His shirt says 100% boy and that he is. He is a hoot. He is getting tons of hair (I still hold to it is going to be curly)!! My sister was making fun of me but it is true!!~

Well that is all my comentary for those pictures!

Some newer Pictures

Here are some pictures from Olivia's Birthday (Aug. 21st) I am behind but what do you do! The first on is Olivia and Claira.

This next one is Ryland and daddy and Olivia. Olivia had to do a scavanger hunt to find one of her gifts.

This is Jeremy, Claira and Ryland about a month or so ago just hanging out!

And here is Ryland four or so weeks ago hanging in the exersaucer. He loves this toy, yesterday he was jumping and making tons of fun baby noises!
Now that I have figured out how to upload pictures from our camra to Jeremy's new computer I will post more pictures!!

Pictures of our house and Claira and Ryland

The pictures will explain themselves, Claira just got a new hair cut, and Ryland is just hanging out at 4 months old!

The green wall is the girls room! Rylands room has a red wall in it, the rest are a nice tan color, and the tile is finally finished!
