Great Wall, Hutong, Shopping, KTV, Racquet Sports
It's been a while since I last blogged. China has officially restricted access to blogspot. Luckily, we (interns here) found a way to overcome this. Hahaz the Chinese are amazing yea.
Went to the great wall two weeks ago. It was absolutely tiring and draining with flights and flights of stairs ahead of us. It was more tiring than 十渡. But it was a really great experience! 慕田峪 is magnificent. And I gotta sweat it out once in a while ;)
On the way there.. I guess I got used to long travelling time after the torturous journey to 十渡. After the bus ride, we took a 黑车 to Mutianyu itself. With a local with us, we managed to not get slaughtered.

Group photo. First time meeting clara and ruijing. They're nice and friendly people :)

Though it's true that everywhere you walk it's the same sight, it's magnificent nevertheless. It's a real wonder how people could build this whole structure in the past...

when to me, carrying one 'brick' is already very tiring. The thing I'm carrying weighs 10kg no joke. I learnt about it from discovery channel

p.s. i walked barefooted for like 4hours throughout the journey as i was wearing killer pumps. Damn stupid I know.. I became the tourist attraction because of that. "WOW she's not wearing anything." HELLO.. I had my clothes on, just no shoes! Wasnt thinking straight early in the morning. bleahz i pity my feet

Then on sunday, guess what?! SHOPPING!! where?! 动物园批发市场! AGAIN! Hahaha I'm crazy I know. After a fruitful shopping trip, we went to 南锣鼓巷 which sells really unique stuff and local designer stuff, much like haji lane in Singapore. After that, it was indian cuisine at one of the restaurants. It was supposed to be famous and good. But I dun really fancy it. Hurhur

And one day when having dinner at a restaurant with delicious specialty 烤鸭, Maggi (the taitai) suddenly craved for ktv and suggested we go on wednesday. That is supposed to be one of my workdays. But since I'm 'here to play', my boss allow me to have the day off when I asked if I can change wednesday for sunday. In the end, he asked me not to come on Sunday too; 叫我出去走走。 My gosh.. I'm ultra slack.
KTV was good and cheap. Big room, personal toilet, 3hours with free sumptuous buffet. :D

o

After KTV, we went grocery shopping! Before you conclude that I'm crazy being so excited about grocery shopping, think again. The supermarket here in Riviera doesnt sell a lot of Veg. I'm craving for 南瓜粥 for very long already. But I cant cook it coz they dun sell 南瓜 here in riviera. And the place tt sells it is like 30 min walk away. I dun feel like cycling there cuz it's probably dangerous. Okay I admit it. I'm lazy :P
Anws, after happy grocery shopping, xiaoting and I played tennis. Then as if it wasnt enough, we played squash. :D:D It was fun! :D
Okay this is such a long post. I guess i'll blog about tiananmen, clubbing experience and inner mongolia trip the next time round. Ciao!
