Happy Monday!!  Well, it can only be happy if you are here, checking out our creativity! 

I love getting my MWExpress Kit and finding mini cards in the kit.  Especially with the clear envelopes!  I don't know why, but my heart skips a beat!! 

This month, the cards were a little bit different size, with more canvas to work with! 

I used materials all found in this month's MemoryWorks Express Kit. 

And here they are in their envelopes, already to go! 

 

 

Creative Friday

Happy Friday to you all!  Cathie here again with a really quick project using an old CD and some cardstock, a doily and a decorative brad.  I love having pictures of my family all over my house but regular old wallet size frames get boring so, I created this simple way to display my niece Catherine's high school graduation picture. 

This was so easy and quick and a great way to reuse old CD's that are just hanging around.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a creative weekend.

Hi-Meg from TeamWorks here with a Thursday card to share.

I made this  cute apple card using  the Simple Stories  Smartie Pants collection

For an extra embellishment for my card front I fussy cut one of the apples from the patterned paper and mounted it on a pop dot on the lower right portion of the card.

Challenge Wednesday

September is almost over! What?!? I know. It's unbelievable. This month's challenge is to use white ink on black paper. It can be your own handwriting. It can be patterned paper. It can be word art on a card.

I love my fellow creative team member's contribution. Amanda Bratu played on the black and white theme with her b&w photo and the border and then used the Love is Rare word art card to bring the challenge home. Nice job Amanda. Thanks for playing.

Creative Friday

Happy Friday to you!  Today I'd like to share my creative spot.  I am fortunate to have my very own Tuff Shed building at the back of our yard that I can create in!  The thing I love about this is, it is away from the house and I can just close the door and lock it when I am done working, no need to clean up my workspace.  This is my little "Scraptuary"

 

Here is a close up of my "Scraptuary" sign.  I painted it on a piece of old print type cabinet wood that my dad gave me...

Here are a few pictures of the inside...

This shelf below was made by my hubby in his high school wood shop back in the 60's... my sister in law gave my the cute cream bottles and I have buttons in them.

This is an old wooden crate that I found in my hubby's workshop and "borrowed" for now... I have little jelly jars full of ribbon in this...

I covered my bulletin board with the same fabric as my window valance and it hangs on my door...

I have one really high shelf and I am planning on adding more this winter.  I am trying to free up floor space so I can put another work table in here.  I have a few little "organizational" things...

This little pink basket holds scraps and my 6 x 6 pads for easy access when I am making cards...

And this tiered wire basket holds mini albums I have made and don't know what to do with yet...

And this is my paint holder.  I saw this on Pinterest and I actually made it!  It uses two of those wire cube sides some pvc pipe and end caps.  I love it and I can make more to add to it as my craft paint collection grows.

Cards &Tags Thursday

Happy Thursday- Meg from TeamWorks here with a fun tag that I created with the new Simple Stories Smarty Pants collection.

I used one of the coordinating SN@P! page inserts as a stencil on my tag to give it a fun tone -on-tone look. I simply placed the page insert over my tag and sponged a darker color of ink in through the openings.

This left me with great background for layering the Smarty Pants papers and stickers over. I love how with the Simple Stories kits  that you really have everything that you need to create all in one bag.

I finished my card off with 2 silver brads and a hand dyed seam binding ribbon bow.

Challenge Me Wednesday

Good Morning!  Half way through a week, and almost a month! 

Last week Rosann posted her challenge for the month to CHALK IT UP and use a chalkboard technique on your project. 

 

I got a little technical on this one.  I actually had the chalking on my photos!!  I happened to take pictures of the kids in front of the chalkboard on the first day of school. 

 

I also used black cardstock for the main part of the page, and used a white gel pen to create some chalk designs. 

All supplies form the July 2013 MWExpress Kit.
