I. am. a. planner.
It is not even Halloween yet, I have been thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas for several weeks already. With so many festivities between Halloween and New Year’s Eve I feel the need to create a fun & cute place to write down my family’s plans for the holidays. Somehow jotting notes on the junk mail envelope just doesn’t work anymore.
Enter the Holiday Planner. A simple binder OR album (size is your choice) with page protectors.
I used the following MW Products to complete the planner:
Basic Grey: Theme Set – Jovial (BG123)
Basic Grey: 6x6 Paper Pad – Jovial (BG122)
Basic Grey: Chip Sticker Shapes – Jovial (BG130)
Basic Grey: Pops – Jovial (BG133)
Cosmo Cricket: Tiny Type - Black (CC010)
Cosmo Cricket: Tiny Type - Red (CC090)
Ranger: Accents – Glossy (RA043)
Fiskars: Border Punch – Threading Water (FK001)
Ranger: Stickles – Crystal (RA039)
Other items:
2 Inch Black Binder with pocket covers
Black Ink
Paper and binder clips
Ribbon
To begin, cut the chosen pattern paper to fit inside the front and back covers of the binder. This measurement will be determined on the type of binder you choose. Ink edges and decorate with Glossy accents, Chip Sticker Shapes and Stickles.
Cut paper to fit into the spine pocket of the binder. Decorate as desired and slip into pocket.
Choose what you need to keep track of for the holidays and create titled section pages. For mine I created one for gift giving, home decor and food menus.
I created pockets with coordinating paper on the back of the sections. Using the threading Water Punch I created a fun border to hold receipts and notes.
As I use this planner I may need more categories- and with this binder it will be easy to add and modify the sections. Insert coordinating paper in other page protectors to carry the color scheme through the binder.
For actual pages to compose my lists and ideas I plan to use the free printables from this website - there are lots of ideas for what to include in your planner at this site. I just had to make mine with great supplies you know! Remember to not go overboard- this is help you enjoy the holidays not stress over them :)
