2/5
Hmm.. Papers where i can blame the paper for not doing well are done. (Afterall, the interpretation of a poem is pretty subjective and for GP its either u have the facts or u don't, nothing much one could do about it besides lamenting their fates when one does not do well.) The three papers left are the kinds where you can only blame yourself for not studying hard enough if you do not do well as the answers are pretty straightforward- Chem, Bio and Maths. And not to my surprise, these are the three papers i am more afraid of. Ok. 2 down, 3 more to go! Chemistry here i come!

1/5
Day one of Block Tests, we had to take our temperatures before the commencement of the exams and if our temperatures were 37.6C or above, we would not need to take the paper and have to go see a doctor immediately. My temperature was 37.2C. So ya, too bad.. no escaping for me. Lol. Guess what?! The time i spent on Facebook last night and throughout my holidays were not gone to waste after all! (I'm being self-delusional..) Why?! I actually wrote a fairly long essay on the influences of modern networking media such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace on human interaction for General Paper today. This is sooo funny. But i think i did a fairly worse-than-bad job on it after rereading my essay. Hopefully its good enough. (Fingers crossed!) Paper 2 was not a comprehension paper but more of a language paper in my opinion. With all the "purpose", "tone", "emotive language", "metaphor" and "effects", i thought i was looking at a Literature Paper! Every single question had to do with language! Ok. One day down, four more to go. Literature here i come!

losing battle
2morrow when i go back to school, reality will be standing there waiting for me, with mocking eyes that bore into my soul, challenging me to defy it. And on my part, i will be dreading every second of it, especially from the minute i step into the hall onwards. For the first time in my life, i actually gave up. Hope this doesn't bring dire consequences. Still, life goes on.. General Paper here i come!

Yum yum!
I always feel the need to relax before a major exam, no matter how prepared or unprepared i might be. So i decided to go out for dinner today. But what fun is it dining alone? Therefore i decided to treat my brother to dinner too! We went to Bugis and dined at NYDC. Shared a plate of lamb shank, a pizza and a tiramisu mudpie. Called my parents and chatted to them while we were enjoying dinner. My dad said the same old thing:" Wah.. know how to enjoy har.. Good! But study hard also k?!" Kinda burnt a hole in my wallet but oh wells.. it isn't like i do this everyday. Went to a new shopping complex and browsed through the shops. I saw many new nice places to eat where i can explore in the future! Haha. My brother treated me to yogurt for supper. Thanks bro=) Can't wait for blocks to be over! (It seems a bit early to be saying this though..)

Day 3
1. Currently : MUGGING MODE (lol.. alliteration=D)
2. It has been raining for the whole day and i find it extremely cold. Couldn't resist sleep in such fine weather. Had a hot steaming 包 for dinner instead of going to the canteen. Holding a hot steaming 包 in my hands felt nice in this cold weather=)
3. I'm satisfied. Despite sleeping so much more during the day compared to yesterday, i managed to finish reading chem!
4. My mom called me just now. She's back from Bangkok. According to her, she bought many things for me and she described them to me on the phone. Lol. How i wish i could go back and see them for myself. I envy my brother for being able to go back next week=(

Day 2 of supposed mugging
1. Day 1 was a slight failure. Managed a few chapters of Bio and completed my Lit homework. But wasted the whole night blogging instead=.=
2. Back from stupid lessons at school. Am supposed to study Bio now. But i can't seem to concentrate!! Concentration, come back to me!! TCY, you should stop staring at the screen, switch off the radio and stop humming along!!! Stare at Bio notes instead! (Ok, not stare but digest!)
3. 2day is a total failure up till now. Took a one hour nap which ended up being three hours=.= PIG!! Shall make sure that 2day is not a failure and at least study something after dinner!
4. I am supposed to be mugging but am listening to muttons on 98.7fm instead.. They are hilarious!
6. I can't believe that Chis Brown got off with such a light sentence! Community service? and 5 years probation?! What's that compared to what he did to Rihanna??!!

Kope-ed this picture from Guen's blog because i love it alot=) Wishing it was a batch picture though!

For my reading pleasure=)
I'm not exactly free now but i couldn't resist the temptation to not study and to blog instead. Blogging is my way of keeping a diary. It's definitely no sin to take a break from studying and pen down (or in this case, type out) happenings in your life before i barely remember them right?! Lol. Ok. Shall stop finding excuses for myself.
Happenings in my life:
12.06.09 : We agreed to go out for dinner and supper. Initially i was afraid that my dad would not grant me a late curfew, but in the end he agreed to let me go out until 1am under certain conditions. But in the end after much deliberation, we ended up having buffet at GreenBox. It was pretty funny sitting in that small room, all of us focused on eating our money's worth (actually just some of us) with no one singing for the first 40 minutes. After making sure our tummies were filled to the brim, we got down to business and started singing (and shouting) like crazy! (Ben asked me to leave out something=p) After singing our hearts out, we proceeded to my house for a little chit chat at which wasn't really a chit chat. Lol. (Ben asks me to add this:
kj was terrified, cuz he scared ppl follow his car and went 1 big round around ur(my) hse area) A little incident that happened on our way out of JJ: Chay Leng, Yee Ling and i couldn't find our way out of JJ as most doors to the 3 level car park area were already locked. We climb flights of stairs and went through many corridors just to meet many dead ends. In the end, we trekked all the way back to the cinema side and exited form there. Totally wasted around 15 minutes trying to escape from JJ.
14.06.09: Met up with Amanda, Zoe, Yun Jing and Hui Yan at Sunway and we went skating. (Yun Jing was outnumbered though she wanted to go to the theme park.) As the two only experienced skaters, Amanda and I taught and guided Zoe, Yun Jing and Hui Yan through their "maiden voyage". Lol. They took baby steps at first but i am glad to say that at the end of the day everyone could "skate" without having to hold on to the sides or to each others hands=) After that, we had a sleepover at Amanda's house and Sue En met up with us there. Her mom made soba for dinner. It was delicious! We chatted through the night and Yun Jing entertained us with her stories. Oh ya, T called Sue En and we kinda played a prank on him. Poor him!
15.06.09: Came back down to Bukit Tinggi and the 6 of us went for lunch at GreenBox. As predicted, we went high! We sang 朋友 together and videoed it for Jasmine! At night, the 6 of us squeezed in front of a laptop and watched Shopaholic.
16.06.09: The 6 of us took the bus up to Genting. It was a comfortable ride and we reached there before noon. Had fun in the outdoor theme park as my last time there was two and a half years ago. Guess what??!! I finally dared to lift my hands throughout the whole ride on the spaceshot! Even straight from the start! I remembered that 2 and a half years ago, i dared not do that. However, this time i find all the rides kinda boring and the adrenalin rush seems to be missing. Oh ya, there is a fairly new addition to the theme park- the pirate ship. Amanda, Hui Yan , Sue En and I sat on one extreme end while Yun Jing and Zoe sat on the other. We wanted to compete who can scream the loudest as it was a pretty boring ride (to me). Lol. In the end, my side won=) We managed to get the row in front of us to scream along with us. On the other end, only the two of them were screaming their lungs out while the rest grabbed on tightly and kepy silent. It was humourous and soon i couldn't tell whether i was laughing or screaming. But because of this, the ride turned out to be the one i enjoyed the most! At night, we squeezed again and watch Hotel for Dogs and Marley and Me. Cried together for both movies.
17.06.09: We took the KTM to KL Central and then to Midvalley. Did some window shopping and had lunch at a restaurant called "something Penang" or "Penang something" or "something Penang something" (can't really remember) which my mom recommended. The char kuey tiao was the one i really liked. I find the asam laksa not sour enough and the prawn noodles should have more prawn taste. I guess i'm just used to the nice asam laksa and prawn noodles that my aunt always cooks. Went to Subang Airport to send them off and that's the end of our well-planned trip since god knows when!
19.06.09: Went rockclimbing and bouldering today at Camp5, One Utama. At first i thought it was only Khai Jier, Jin Yin, Yee Ling and I. Was surprised to see Yin Yin and Jia Yee when i reached there! Still, the more the merrier. But luckily we capped our numbers there as we were not able to bring more anyway. Only Jin Yin and I could be the host and are allowed to belay. Each of us were allowed to bring 2 guests so that makes the six of us. Ran into some complications when we realised that Jia Yee is not officially 18 yet. But in the end, she still curi-curi did some bouldering=p I belayed Jin Yin first as he demonstrated how to climb to the rest. Lol. In the end i belayed everyone, even Khai Jier. (Though admittedly he was scared and i did fly actually. I ended up pinning a 15kg weight on my harness to make sure that i don't fly again but i did! lol.) Went for dinner at KFC after that. (Whose idea?! Lol..)
20.06.09: Went to Sunway for a movie today with Khai Jier, Chay Leng and Heng Yee. We watched Drag Me To Hell. Sorry Heng Yee for making you watch that movie. Hope you didn't have nightmares after that! It was a healthy dose of fright as the sound effects were incredible. But it was hilarious as well with timely humour. (Met Chiao Ying and Kay Xin too!!) After the movie, we decided to drive up to KLCC and we were determined to make it a success this time=) Lol. I love the feeling of driving around with friends in a car. Talking crap and singing along to the radio, listening to Kiss The Rain over and over again. We strolled around KLCC and Heng Yee bought us ice-cream! After that, we met up with Boon Hean and drove all the way to Teluk Gong for dinner. Boon Hean performed magic and flirted with the aunty there. Lol. We ordered a plate of prawns which made our eyes wide when the bill came. Discussed the movie and turned it into a comedy with songs. Lol. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening and i enjoyed it very much. Got into a discussion about 2012 also=)
I had lots of fun this holiday. So much more than the few previous holidays. (It could be classified as my best trip home ever!) Maybe it is the fact that we can now drive and do not have to rely on public transport or our parents to ferry us around. Maybe it was the randomness of everything. How we can just go out and change our plans accordingly. Thanks guys for the fun times and treasured memories. Thanks Heng Yee for the Saturday and the books! Thanks Chay Leng for always jio-ing me out when u know that i am bored at home! Thanks Ben for (arhem) skipping class! Lol. Thanks Boon Hean for that slightly failed magic trick! Thanks Khai Jier for letting me drag you out! Thanks Yee Ling, Yin Yin, Jia Yee and Jin Yin for making my holiday a memorable one!
But for now, my challenge ahead: Block Tests!!!

Happy day.
1. I finally stopped being a 宅女2day! Chay Leng came and fetch me today and we went to the Inti College area. Saw many friends=) I saw (in order of appearance=p though there might be some errors due to my memory failing me)Mei Ching, Eng Wee, Benedict, Khai Jier, Yee Ling, Heng Yee, Yin Yin and Woam Cheng called me=) We sat at MACS and chatted for some time. After that, Ben took Chay Leng and I on a guided tour of Inti College. And after that, the three of us went to RedBox, Sunway. As usual, we sang till we were practically screaming and till we went out of pitch because our voices were hoarse? Lol.. But, it's been a while since i went singing so it was pretty enjoyable.
2. Visited my old blog again. I realised my blogging style changed. I think my current blog is harder to read. Because i blog in large chunks instead of in the bulleted form. (like this post) My old blog has more feelings and thoughts involved. This blog contains mostly happenings. Lol.. I'm comparing and contrasting. Guess i do miss social studies after all. =.= (if u get what i mean..)
3. I need inspiration to compose that love sonnet that Miss Heng wants!! I'm experiencing writer's block! Help anyone?!

Ulu Kelantan
Back from Ulu Kelantan 4 days ago. How was the trip?! Hmm.. Boring for most parts and fun for a small part. The boring parts: being stuck in a bus for most of the time. The fun parts: the run and the shopping. The run was tough. Tougher than i expected. Though it was only a short 5km run, the upslopes and downslopes through the forest were killers. At one point when we were going downslope, i practically had to sit on my butt and slide down. (I did that actually) Someone even fainted out of exhaustion due to the scorching sun! Evidently, the other fun part was shopping!
Things i missed out on with Oasis so far: Ubin Recce, Guen's birthday, Rock climbing!!! (And Post mortem to come..) I wished i didn' t have to miss out on so many things=(
Still slacking.. Someone please slap me!

Bike Hike!
I've been out of touch with the world for some time. Where shall i start? Hmm.. Ok.. Bike hike on the 30th of May.
Let's see.. Bike Hike 2009 - Velocity Redesigned was a huge success i dare say.
We broke the Singapore record for the most youths cycling on the road overnight by a huge margin!
314 participants completed the hike and made me back to East Coast Park the next morning! On that day, Bike hike officially started at 10pm, but it started as early as 6.30pm for some of the participants, earlier for the instructors and assistant instructors and even earlier for the bike hike comm and Alex. For the 35th OASIS OAC it started about three weeks earlier and for the seniors (34th WHOA OAC), it started way before that. With all the hard work put in by all parties, we awaited that day with trepidation.

Some of us sat down and started mugging the route, while some of us caught up on some sleep.
As time passed by, the sky grew darker and the fear of rain set in. At one point, it even drizzled when we were having our "little picnic". Thank goodness it didn't rain!

At 6.45pm, we gathered at the bike shop and i caught a glimpse of Delta for the first time. As we waited for the other groups to arrive, we practically dao-ed our group and let them have their freedom to do anything they wanted. They did a sweet thing by dedicating "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz to Zhen Rui and me. Lol. Looks like team Delta is a nice team! As time passes, the atmosphere heightened and everyone couldn't wait for flag off.

Participants waiting anxiously to set off
For some weird reason, i felt a bit nervous at that point, because it felt like "this is it!". Managed to calm my nerves.

Team Delta was the 4th team to set off. Before the end of East Coast Park, we have already caught up with team Charlie as they were experiencing some difficulties and we overtook them. Being a sweeper was not as boring as i feared it would be, especially since i had to shout "Keep to your left" every other minute. My team was LOUD! Seriously loud. Especially Xianrong. I would just say "Bus behind" and he would amplify it so that the whole team could hear it. As expected with a team of guys, some don't really listen to instructions. (Actually, only one.) I got tired of asking him to "keep left" and just reminded him whenever there was a car approaching from behind. We reached Lau Pa Sat as the third team, having overtook them Charlie previously. By the time we reached Ridout, we were second as team Bravo took a wrong turn somewhere. You could tell that the guys were dying, even at the slack pace we were going. Felt kinda worried for them for Initial D.Oh ya, i love mountain bike! So much more than road bike. It felt so much more stable, and i could control it so much more easier! I was happy with myself for not getting down the bike at all. Even during upslopes where some of my team members had to get off their bike and push them. Being the sweeper, i stayed on the bike and cycled at a snail's pace behind them. I was extremely happy with myself=) And i am also happy with myself for finally having an accident-and-incident-free bike hike!=)
Initial D was not as fun as the previous 2 times, because i was going at such a slow pace. We made a few stops at bus stops and along the road because of cramps. The guys spammed Counterpain and i can smell it in the air even as we are cycling. They found out about the "negative effects" of counterpain the hard way as they started howling at the heat and then the cold=) Lol. I told them that the feeling was 爽and they proclaimed that i had a weird definition for that word.
We reached Prata shop. Zhen Rui and I looked after the bikes while the rest of them took a break. A crazy man started shouting loudly and walking towards our direction. I was afraid and panicked as i thought that we was shouting at us. There was no doubt in my mind that he must have been a bit crazy (or stressed out, whichever word you prefer). Was contemplating what to do when he motioned to us that he was not shouting at us. A sigh of relief there. I wonder what would have happened if we were his object of shouting.
Felt sleepy at the stretch along school. Sweeping ain't much fun especially when one had to cruise for more than half the journey. I pedalled once, twice and cruised. Even cruising, one had to keep one's hands on the breaks. That was how slow we had to go. (We found out in the end that one participant had a punctured tyre=.= that partially explains the pace we were at) The stretch along Orchard road was slightly better. Was more awake. We reached breakoff point at 4.47am=)
Being the first team to reach Kovan, team Delta was roaring to go and wanted to finish first=) Lol. In the end, we didn't reach there first but i was proud of my team. This was the team that said that they wanted to give up at Ridout, but yet they persevered on and completed the whole journey! (Long route!) This was the team that suffered numerous cramps and one tire puncture but yet they managed to hang in there till the end. You could tell that they were tired and some of them were really doing their best not to slow down the whole team. I was proud of them for supporting each other and constantly shouting "加油" to encourage one another. When one of them was slow and lagging behind, they would encourage him and go slower for him to catch up, those behind him would shout words of encouragement. At the end of the day, i am proud of my team and i do like my team!=)
10 hours of biking passed by in a flash. Not feeling tired for some reasons, the batch hung out at KFC for breakfast. Thanks again Guen for that ride home! Before long, i find myself making my way to the airport, waiting for the flight that would bring me home.
Reaching the airport 2 and a half hours before my flight, i was bored and had nothing to do. Met someone at the airport who greeted me but i can't recognise her, what more remember her name. (I am feeling real bad for not remembering who she is though. But i know that she was from Kwang Hua because she mentioned friends i know from Kwang Hua. OMG! I hope she never reads this!)
And now here i am, back home in my comfy bed. What have i been up to this pass few days? Outings with friends? Nil. Long phone conversations to catch up with friends? Nil. Been out of the house? Once. To go to the shopping mall opposite my house to buy something. Movies? Nil. Bowling? Ice skating? Nil. Nil. So far, i've been eating, sleeping, watching tv and reading story books.
