Deja vu: Ky and Jason

In 2013, I made a decision to write down my vivid dreams so that they could one day be used to prove my deja vus.

I didn't realise I have all but a grand total of ONE post since then 😂

Okay so here goes my second post:

Some day in 2015 or 2016 or 2017 I dreamt I was seated in the rear right seat of a car when it started to move off. I asked Kaiyu, "eh where's Jason?"

When I woke up my hypothesis was that Jason is someone v close to her.

There. Future event to be proven!!!

A revisit of my archives

A few nights ago I had difficulty sleeping. It was 2.40am and I had just coaxed baby to sleep. Bored from the typical insta and Fb newsfeeds, I randomly clicked on my blog archives to check out what happened in my life in October 2011.

If I hadn’t been lying on my side whilst reading my phone, I think my jaw would have dropped when reading back on this ‘fortune’ dream I had:

Spook or coincidence?

Both events came out to be true. WOW. I’m very awed.

Now, I’d be even more stoked if any of my vivid dreams flash back as deja vus in reality. #dejavu

---------------------------

Anyway, I wouldn’t have been ready to sleep after that exciting find. Hence I went on to revisit more blog posts in 2011… and came to realise that my lifestyle has so transformed? Back then I was involved in various activities – conquer of Mt. Kinabalu, outings with club and other friends; while being gainfully employed at work. I would like to think I led quite an enriching lifestyle – massively engaged at work and spending sufficient time spent with family, friends and myself (explained by the 10-14 blog posts per month in Sep-Nov 2011). I also noticed that my writing style during that period was reflective – penning down after-thoughts, course takeaways and life lessons. Comparatively nowadays, I am contributing less blog posts (but maybe more in fb, idk). My life now revolves around family and baby. Any 2-hr venture to a mall is a notable event by itself. But not that I’m complaining – growing up with a baby and witnessing her every firsts is a joyful process! Anyway, I think I should blog more often. Life passes by too quickly. Heck, it’s already end November! Reading back on my life happenings allows me to be grateful of the activities I’ve taken part in, the friends I socialized with, the life lessons and realizations made, and how my life has transformed...

Sad fact: I'm getting older.

Deja vu

From dictionary.com:

dé·jà vu

noun
1.
Psychology . the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time.
_____________________________________
I have frequent deja-vus. How I experience them - suddenly a tingling sensation would shoot through my nervous system, my pupils will dilate, skin pores expand and hair will stand. It's like, I've been here before. Haven't I seen this place before? Okay, I know what's gonna happen next!
It's a really peculiar, bizarre feeling. It's a very familiar sight/scene/hearing... from my past dreams. I have not done research as to why humans do experience deja vus, but a part of me believes in fate - our paths have long been crafted out by destiny. Hence, our souls have travelled to the future and seen and experienced a short snapshot of it, and it is only a matter of time before it really happens.
And that, is my deja vu.
People can't prove whether their deja vus are real; neither can they prove to others that they have indeed, dreamt of the scene before.
So I'm gonna make an effort to note down every memorable dream I had (of course, only those realistic ones and not those of me flying, stepping on thin air, being late for exams, being chased by monsters, etc), and these entries are going to be my evidence, some day in the near future.
Anyway, have you realised that once you wake up, you will have an immediate recollection of a dream you just had? That's when it's the most vivid. However, once you brush up and head to work... an hour later, you will have zero recollection of it. Interesting, isn't it?

Deja vu:
Date: About a week ago....
Dream: Family gathering over a dinner with my paternal relatives and we shared 2 tables. Wenkang and Amber were eating huge, steamed prawns and then 叔母 (wife of Uncle Ah Nga) dished out steamed crabs!

Random notes from Ye

On 2 separate occasions, I was working at my home desk when Ye sat beside, doodled on a post-it and passed it to me:
