Well, not really last words,
But I just wanted to pen down something before I left for Kuala Lumpur tonight...
I'm having mixed feelings at the moment...
Excited to go back and meet my family and friends,
Eat all the yummy food...
But at the same time,
really heavy hearted to leave behind my beloved ones...
Dear, if you happen to read this,
I just want you to know that
I'll be missing you heaps *like ALOT*
and little rascal, Remy, and Benny too!!
They've made so much progress,
I feel like I'm going to be missing out~!
Benny's started coming into the house to play with Remy!
Amazing~!!
And baby, make sure you still eat healthy k??
Don't eat shin ramyun everyday alrite?
*Muah*
A big family hug to all of you!

Little Remy's first haircut :D
As summer's approaching and the weather gets hotter... we decided that little Remy should get a haircut so he won't die of a heat stroke...

Little Remy before :)
*Yes, he sleeps on his back. I reckon he sometimes thinks he's a boy and not a doggy*
We made an appointment for him at Camberwell's City Pets for 2 pm today. Took him to Camberwell for lunch, and then dropped him off for him grooming and pampering session. *I don't know if he really gets pampered, or whether they hold him down and shave his hair off* Hahahahha...
We were told to collect our boy at about 4.30pm, so we went to Ikea to get some stuff, cause I'm in need of more storage space. Somehow, subconsciously, my wardrobe is still expanding... I don't know how. I'm consciously trying not to buy stuff, and I haven't been shopping as much as I used to *yes, I know I'm crazy* but but... *Mei's puzzled*
We bought some display cabinets in replacement of our speaker stands too. Now we have more space to put our ornamental stuff :P Hehehehe...
Anyways, back to Remy...
We went back to City Pets about quarter past 4, and asked for Remy....
And OH.MY.GAWD~!!!!!

We couldn't recognise him when they brought him out~! He looks totally entirely different now! He's so small and skinny! AND he looks like a Paris Hilton kinda doggy~!!!!! *faints*
I. am. in. shock. Utterly speechless....
But oh well, he will be more comfortable in summer this way. And the hair will grow... and he'll be cute again~! But regardless of what you look like, we still love you, Remy poo...
Oh well, we'll just have to deal with a skinny poodle for now...

My ain't so little boy...
Little Remy has grown...
He ain't so little anymore,
don't you reckon??
This video was taken yesterday evening...
When Jon and I both realised that Remy looks
longer, fatter, fluffier... and definitely heavier in our arms...
Our little boy has grown...
He's no longer a baby. He's a toddler now ;)

My random two-cents
It's been stinking hot the past few days,
37 yesterday, and a blazing 36 degrees today...
And both Remy and I are suffering the consequences...
My fury boy has been sluggish, and refusing to eat much.
He even runs slowly now...
Still drinking though...
And I've been keeping the AC on the whole day
*ouch to our pocket when the electricity bill arrives*
Little Remy really needs a haircut...
This weekend maybe...
------------------------------
Last night wasn't too bad...
It actually got pretty quiet, and I got to sleep from
0230 till 0630. Well, interrupted, of course... but it wasn't too bad at all.
But seriously, who pages someone at 0600 and asks
"This patient in *insert ward and bed* has a BP of 155 / 70
but he's asymptomatic."
"What was his BP yesterday? What is it like usually?"
"It was 159 / 80 yesterday, and he didn't get anything"
O.o *slaps forehead*
UuRrrrrR, what makes you think that I'M going to RUSH down to the ward and give him something???
And WHY, just WHY do you have to choose such an 'appropriate' hour to ask such a question?
"That's fine. Just give him his normal morning meds later, and if the home team feels that his BP is consistently high, they need to consider commencing another antihypertensive. There are no serious concerns at the moment"
"Oh, thank you".
YOU BETTER THANK ME FOR BEING IN A GOOD MOOD YESTERDAY.
Seriously, just... bring some brains to work sometimes...
Those in Italics are obviously just my thoughts... I did not say it aloud to her.
Just because I'm not high enough in the pecking order...
And I don't wanna make enemies during my night shift.
Nurses are capable of ruining a perfect night. *some*
I am not willing to risk it...
But everyone's patience has a limit...
Just you wait...

Kheang & Leanne's Wedding
Be forewarned that this post is gonna be picture filled. If your internet connection is snail paced, please do not curse and swear at me, yea?? hehehehe...
Last weekend, Jon and I attended Kheang and Leanne's wedding at the Royal Botanical Garden... It was a fine 24 degrees day *which actually felt alot hotter than 24*, perfect for an outdoor garden wedding...

The wedding was supposed to start at 1515. We got there early, but Jon being the smartarse he is, got us to the wrong venue~!!
Well, not really... we got to the botanic garden, and there was some guy, dressed in a suit, asking if we were here for XXX's wedding... and Jon exclaimed "Yeap!" without having heard properly whose wedding it was... and of course, we got directed to someone else's wedding ceremony, and had to call Karen to ask for directions to the right spot.

Jonny boy fending off the flies...
Well, we got there alrite :D

And it was beautiful... and no, we weren't late :) Leanne was really late though... I think the ceremony only started at about 1545??

The bride and groom, with their convoy of groomsmen and bridesmaids... How sweetttt... I always get teary eyes and gooey at weddings... I don't know why~! I reckon it's the beautiful words, and the expression on their faces, knowing that they're officially gonna spend the rest of their lives with each other... There's something about it that really touched my heart...

Photos with the bride and groom.
From L - R: Khar, Kheang, Leanne, Karen.

Jon, Kheang, Leanne, Mei

One with us, actually looking at the camera :)
The wedding dinner was held in a chinese restaurant in Springvale. We had time to drop by home and get changed before the dinner started... We even dropped by Macca's and got two large fries, knowing that the dinner will commence late. It's an Asian wedding after all~! What can you expect rite???

Karen, Mei and Jon... **in our night's outfit**

Us again - stolen from Anthony's camera... Yes, I took it from his Facebook... His digital SLR took really nice pics :)

A candid one. I was too quick for him. He wasnted to snap a candid shot of us, while someone else was taking a photo of us. But I turned just in time to pose for the camera... Hahahaha... I'm goodddddd.

One with Nhan and Karen.

The boyzzzzz: Khar, Jon and Julez.

Happy faces...

Things I do when I get bored...
Yeaps, as predicted, the dinner didn't start till about 9ish.. I was gonna faint of hunger! Thank God I had those fries, or else I would have passed out...
Besides the stupid flies and the long wait, I would say, the wedding was pretty good :)
Congratulations again, Kheang and Leanne... A toast for the two of you...

A Surprise Visit...
A few days ago, I received a message on friendster from an old colleague of mine... Rachel Kong. I haven't seen her for like... 4 years maybe?? She told me that she was coming to Melbourne for a holiday, and would love to catch up~!!
I was utterly surprised! *a pleasant surprise, none-the-less!* I met up with her for lunch... Yes, I had a half-day on Wednesday... We went to one of those little quaint cafe's along Collin's Place.. Food was good, and catching up with Rach was great... And oh gosh, I got reminded of how I miss the city. The little lanes and alleyways... the boutiques etc. Work kinda does that to you. Robs you off your free time, and whenever you do have some, all you wanna do is sleep, or spend time with your loved ones...

Met Rach's boyfriend, Terrence as well :)

Rachel & Mei. I brought them back to my place to meet my little Remy :)
My boy was uber excited seeing them. Kept climbing up to them, and turning over for tummy rubs! Hahahaha... he's a spoilt little puppy... Oh btw, he's not so much a pup anymore. He's teething now, and some of his teeth on his lower jaw are quite sharpppp.... canines!!!

Jon came home after work, and we headed out for dinner... and then back to Lygon for gelati~! OH!!!! How I miss the gelati in Lygon~!!! YUMMOOOO.... Totally satisfied my cravings! It was awesome... I had Cold Rock the night before, with Jon and Remy... and then had Il Dolce Freddo that nite.... SUMMER'S great!!!! cause ice-creams taste soooo much better~! tee hee hee...

Group photo...

Yes, Remy came along too. We didn't have the hearts to leave him at home... We're such whipped parents~! :( siggghhh...
As I am blogging this, Rachel is on her way back to Malaysia :) Thanks for calling me today babe... and have a safe flight home :P I shall see you soon, alrite? It was certainly good catching up with you... *hugz*

Remy the rascal...
I returned from work the other day, and found THIS mess the moment I opened the door~! **horror** OH.MY.GOSH!!!! I was shocked beyond belief~!!!

But Remy boy was still jumping up and greeting me as I came home.... How could I be angry at the cute little boy??? I didn't know whether to smack him, or to cuddle him like I usually do...
He, of course... was acting as if he hasn't done anything wrong~! My poor shoesssss!!!!!

My naughty boy even rummaged through the waste paper basket and chewed my shoe box, and some of Jon's snotty tissue paper... EWWWWWW Yucks! He was grosss~!! But at the same time, he was sooooo adorable... for he had a price tag stuck right on his forehead - $99.95. Hahahahhaha...

My naughty little boy chews on shoes, eats plants and tree barks, plays with sticks and drags them into the house, barks at strangers, growls at Benny the bunny, and chases him around like there's no tomorrow...

But when you see him all cute like this,
How can you NOT love him??

Japanese Dinner @ Kenzan, Sofitel
Last Saturday was a significant day to us, because...

Not only because it was our anniversary,

But we celebrated Amira's 8th birthday as well...

Tisha made bookings to have dinner at Kenzan, a Japanese restaurant in Sofitel, Melbourne... which happened to be the place Jon and I went for our first date.... like a proper date...

Amira made us girls, wear dresses, and have birthday stickers on us... Hahaha.

A group photo :D

Happy Anniversary, baby - Mei & Jon.
No, we didn't really celebrate our 16th month anniversary.. It just happened to fall on the same day.

Amy with Uncle Peter & Aunty Eng.

The birthday girl, blowing her candles, and making a wish... ;)
She's 8 now... just you imagine how old we're all getting...
