Funny is lazy!!!

And so the title of this post goes...
She was supposed to post up pics a longggg time ago, about our trip, but obviously, she ended up NOT doing it :P Bleh!
So... oh well, I shall do her a favour and blog about it. :)

In case you guys didn't know...Rialto Tower ain't the highest tower in Melbourne anymore. It's been replaced by the infamous gold infused Eureka Tower... yes, it's gold infused... hence it's always reflective on a sunny day! *which is quite annoying, really!*

But since my family was here on a holiday, and I haven't been up to the observation deck, I decided to take this opportunity to bring US all up to the 88th floor of the new tallest building in Melbourne! :D

Funny, Jon & Daddy :)
Look at the clear blue skies!!! Ain't it just awesome?!

The inquisitive Little Jonny...

One of Mei and Jon :)
Love this pic. I reckon he looks good here... tee hee hee..

Popo looking through the 'viewfinder' thingy... Gosh, I have no idea what it's called. It's not binoculars or magnifying or anything. It just focuses on the prominent landmark, that's all... I dont know if I'm making sense even. Oh well, nevermind...

Us again... and the magnificent view at the bottom :D

Of course, a compulsory family shot! Came out a little dark though... HhMmM...

Funny was too excited looking at her work place! Hahaa... Even when she's on leave, she can't escape 'work'!

Family photo!!! One with all of us.

The view of those tiny little creatures at the bottom...

Daddy and his two favourite girls. :D

We didn't go out to "the edge" - which is a little box, which floor turns clear for about 3 minutes or so... which gives you the feeling that you're suspended in thin air...

We had to pay extra for it, and being tight arses, we thought it wasn't worth paying for that 3 minutes :P so....

Posing @ Southbank.

Another one of us, which this arty statue thingy. Gosh, don't even ask me what it is....

Popo @ Warner Bros in Crown.

Mom got pretty excited in Crown Casino. She was particularly fascinated with this Texas Hold'em Poker Game. Apparently, it's new... and Genting Casino in Malaysia will have new gaming tables for this game. So mom was just observing, and learning how the game works... Jon was obviously explaining the rules and stuff to her, while... I tuned off cause I had absolutely no idea what they were going on about!

After hanging around for abit, and had lunch... we left Crown, and brought popo to Docklands.

Popo @ Waterfront City

Funny, Popo, Mei & Jon :)

Funny "on the exercise ball" Hahaha. Dad reckons she looks like she's 12 in this photo!

OMG! Funny made Popo pose for this photo! Poor her! Hahahaha...

Poser pie and mom :D

And yes, another one of Popo...

I had to leave early that day cause I had to rush back to work! Damnit... stoopid shift work, I tell ya! :( But oh well, it sure looked like they had a good time. Especially popo, who was in Australia for her first time! I'm so glad she got to experience this, and I'm pretty sure she'll remember this trip for a longgg time!

And for the first time, I drove them all around, I paid for hotel accomodation and some meals.... It feels good to be able to repay your parents and family who's been supporting you this whole time.

Catch Up Time!

I was supposed to meet up with Daniel, after like.... more than a year! to catch up for drinks. That was a month ago, in Chaddy - where I conveniently forgot to bring my phone out with me!! Yes, I know I ought to be shot! Hehehe... And so, I couldn't find him, cause I couldn't remember his mobile number... And I returned home to find like 5 missed calls on me phone... I'm so sorrrryyy, Daniel!

SO!

2 nights ago, we finally managed to arrange dinner and catch-up cause I was on days off! :P Hehehehe... *blame it on my busy schedule! Work sucks!*

Went to Coco Lounge @ Glenny.

Daniel & Mei
Notice we were both wearing similar coloured Mooks top? Hehehee... What a coincidence! Of course we didn't plan it!

My two darlings were of course, there too!
Jon & Addy

Jon didn't wanna come out initially, cause he ran out of contact lenses, and had to resort to wearing his glasses! :P So he didn't wanna meet anyone... hehehe... but suddenly decided to change his mind.

It was a fun night. So much has happened and changed since... :P But it was good catching up, cracking jokes etc. hehehe... AND to know that we have mutual friends! Hahaha... What a small world indeed!

Speaking of small world, we also bumped into Sam, Lien and Minh in Coco Lounge itself! And oh, I think I saw Yun as well! And I didn't even have to step out from the place. Hahaha.

I don't want to...

I don't wanna argue
ever again...
I don't wanna cry myself to sleep
ever again...

I don't wanna act strong,
And be the one to walk away,
Only to silently hurt,
Because I know I still care.

I don't want to hear you
Telling me again,
That you'll love me from afar,
Yet living our lives in pain.

I just want us to be like "us" before,
I just wanna be loved that way, once more...

Stronger...

He told her last night,
that what doesn't kill them
Only makes them stronger...

That they would get through this.

He then kissed her on her forehead,
and wiped the tears off her swollen eyes.
It was like a frame in the movies,
Where time just stayed still.

She gave him a forced smile,
and could only hope that he was right.
That, this is right...

He held her hand tight,
Held her tight...

She felt comfortable,
fitting snugly into his embrace.
Tears rolled down her cheeks again,
But this time...
It's different.

They're different.

They grew stronger... together...

An Affair?

It's a nice song,
But I couldn't help but think that the message that it sends,
Is just so wrong...

Such a coward for not having told her yet.

Do you like it sparkley? or plain?

Sugar coated? Or Bluntly honest?

I was having a discussion with someone yesterday, and I suddenly thought to myself... Is he/she telling me the truth? Will he/she ever be totally entirely honest with me? And even if he/she weren't 100% honest, when does it come to a point where he/she's dishonest?? There is no one fine line that distinguishes it, is there? It's more like a big grey area that's hazy and complicated...

I suppose he/she would have told me one thing, but would also not want to let the other person down, or make her upset, hence the decision that he/she made in the end... But is that the case? Or did he/she think otherwise, and was only saying what you wanna hear to please you? If that's the case, is he/she accountable for being dishonest?

I am aware that no one person is 100% perfect. Not to your standard anyway. If so, then are you willing to put up with the "dishonesty", or is it better for him/her to be entirely open and honest with you, eventhough that may mean you will hear things you do not want to hear...

And is blunt honesty always a good thing? In relationship, and in life... I guess we sometimes do need a little bit of sugar coating.

But if so, then why am I so affected, knowing that he/she told me one thing, and did another... eventhough that little thing might seem really trivial to him/her... but the repercussions of it... I don't know.

Don't quite know what I feel now, all I know is, I don't feel right...

Perhaps different people are wired differently, and I just need to come to terms with that. But at times like these, I think to myself... whatever happened to compromise, and respect? If I respect him/her, then he/she should respect me too... and should have honoured what he/she said yesterday...

Like the old saying goes... "Honesty is the best policy" even if it doesn't float your boat.
-----------------------------------

Sorry if this post seems rambly, and doesn't flow.
It's not a perfectly composed one...

I guess, all I'm asking for, is for him/her to be put in my shoes.
How would he feel if I did the same towards him/her...

STRIKE Bowling

Last night was pretty full on for me, as I've been working night shift for the past 6 days... but still decided to go to the RMO Society Bowling night before work last night...

It was a good opportunity for me to see everyone, albeit for a short period of time. AND because it was FREE for us members! 2 games, including shoe hire, snacks and bar tab... I thought it was a pretty good deal. Even for non-members... it's only 15 dollars!

STRIKE Bowling @ Chapel Street, Prahran...

The guys definitely got their money's worth...
Jon, Pete, David & Serei... Julian was off somewhere, having a good time with the girls! Tee hee hee...

Serei snapped a candid one of us, as I was trying to pull Julian over...
It came out quite alright though.. It looks like I'm hugging him or something. Tee hee hee... quite cosy :P

Jon and Mei

James and his funny antics again... tee hee hee... He was supposed to snap a pic of us, but ended up snapping a pic of himself instead! Haha.

Mali, Mei and Kaz.
Kaz claimed that James was too much a slomo... He couldn't hold his smile for thattttt long!

Mali won the Ipod Shuffle door gift!!! Unfair!! She's not even an Eastern Health employee! Blehhh!!! :P I'm being a sooky lala... Hahahahaha...

Addy came late with Karen... She was only playing her first game when we were all at our second... You missed out, girl! It was hilarious when we first started... Everyone's ball went into the gutter...

Jon, Addy & Mei

Karen, Bhupesh, Addy & Mei.

One with the winner of the night. I think Serei scored 160 something for his game... Hehehe... I'm lousy! I couldn't even touch 100 **shy**
But it's alright... I had a good time anyway. Besides the fact that I had to leave early and go to work!! :(

The guys had a good time though. Went back to our place, and played super-speed Wii! :P Shall upload the videos next time!! Pete was definitely hilariously turbo charged!!! I cracked up laughing when Jon showed me the videos!

I'm so relieved to be having days off now! Night shift totally kills you!!!

Skirmish!!

Yes, I was crazy enough to go Skirmish, otherwise known as paintball last Sunday arvo... eventhough I was supposed to be working on Sunday night... and oh, did I conveniently forget to mention that I'm suppose to be working 7 nights straight?? Crazy I know... but who could resist it???

It was organised by the Coles Group Social Club, and there were 30 of us all together... So it was massive!!

Mei & Jon - getting geared up before the game. Jon was absolutely jealous that I got the chest guard!! Hahahhaa... He said I looked cool, like in the SWAT team. :P

And he'd like to stress that he was smiling underneath that mask/helmet... although you can't exactly see it!

The boyz - Serei and Khar.

Serei's 5 dollars investment in getting the "protective" box for his "uh hum - you know what" was definitely worth every single cent!!! He got shot at his "urm - sensitive spot" like 3 times?! And with white paint too! Hahahaha... I wonder what the fascination was, with that part of his anatomy... kekekke...

The cutesy couple - Khar and Karen.

Don't you reckon they look like each other? Oh well, you can't tell underneath the masks of course! But trust me, they do in person!!!

The game lasted for 4 hours. Played on 4 different fields! :) It was awesome! Really tiring though. I wouldn't recommend doing it if you have soft, supple skin... Blardee hell! I came home with some bigass bruises all over my body! I look like I'm a victim of domestic violence or something!!

It's seriously NOT funny man! I look so crippled at work that everyone was asking "What's wrong Mei?? Are you okay?!" And Jon has some pretty impressive battle scars on his body too!

Oh well, guess you guys won't see me in shorts for awhile now...

BUT it was all worth it... :D In the name of good fun!!

And so it goes...

Went for my first job interview last week...

And so the rat race begins,
Like it does at this time,
Year after year...

Where I'm gonna be next year,
What I'll be doing...

Only time will tell...

Dinner with mah groupie...

Since it was Friday night, the group decided to catch up over dinner at TGIF (hahaha, no pun intended!) It's been awhile since we last saw each other in Bairnsdale... Working different shifts, doing different rotations, in different hospitals now...

Emma Scriven, you did NOT turn up! HMPH!!! Make sure we see you next Saturday at bowling k?!

Gary, Addy and Karen :)

Jon, Mei and Bhup...

We took so long just sitting down, and chatting, that the waiter came to us like.. 4 times? before we could make a decision and place our orders. Hhehehe... I don't think he was having a great time with us at all... :P

Jon with his ultimate long island ice tea (his usual drink at TGIF. Yes, I do know) and Mei...

Jon's attempt to be a photographer... food photographer in specific.

Addy and Karen. Karen claims that she looks like a pig, pigging out in this pic... Heheheh :P :P

Gary talking to the waiter... I think he was interested in Gary. Was giving him the 'eye' the whole night! :P OoOoOoO..... Interesting! ** I reckon Gary looked quite terrified in the pic!**

Just one of us...

One of our favourite man... Bhup! and his vegie burger...

Mei killed her prey!! Muargahahahaha...

And last but not least.... I shall leave you with...

A pic of Jon trying to become a "pouting" model... OoOoOO...

Hahahahahhaa... that pic cracks me up everytime I look at it! :P

Had a good night discussing stupid stuff, and gossipping bout who's dating who in the hospital... and who's chasing who... all the juicy scandals, I tell ya....

More of these next week at Strike Bowling!! Thanks Bhup, for organising that...

And thanks Addy, for organising our "Thank God It's Friday!" night... *muah*

Some random pics...

Before they left...

Here are the delayed pics, of some of the places they went...

VIC MARKET...

Funny trying out the hammock...

This is so comfortable, I can almost fall asleep on it...
It sooooo made me really reluctant to go to work after that. **I was working evening shift that day**

Jacy and Mommy picking out some yummy fruits!! :P

The two buddies that haven't seen each other in awhile... Funny & Jacy catching up.

Candid shot...

Popo enjoying her jam doughnut, and Mei.... well, acting spastic!

And yes, I did drag myself to work that day...

KOKO BLACK.

It's like... a ritual for us. Everytime they visit, we go back to the same Koko Black in Chaddy for drinks. Jon even remembers where we sat the last time! Hahahaha...

One of us... the host for the week :)

Popo, Funny and Daddy...

Mommy and Popo...

Sorry if this post seems really truncated. After all, the photos are kinda random... and it's late!! I just finished my shift, and have to wake up early tomorrow for a job interview...

So nitey nite everyone... and wish me luck for tomorrow... I haven't prepared anything at all. I'm screwed!
