LITERALLY!!!
It was really windy when I drove to work today. Maybe it's because I drive a small car, but I could really feel the wind... and somehow, I felt unsteady and unsafe... But I didn't give it too much thought, and got to work just fine...
BUT,
As I was leaving the hospital, I saw the ambulance dashing off with its siren on, and the State Emergency Services (SES) vehicle speeding away... and I thought to myself, maybe something bad happened...
And the moment I got into my car and drove home, I realised that today was one of the windiest day ever! In Victoria! Trees fell in the middle of the road, blocking traffic, and roof tiles were being blown away... Maybe it's psychological, but I kinda felt my car swerving! I was kinda scared really...

All I could think of was "Hurry up... get home safe, and park your car in the garage so that it doesn't get blown away!"
I felt pretty silly, but I was thinking of ways to maintain traction on the road... Wound down the windows to reduce the resistance,
**don't know if it was a good idea, but it somehow made a little sense then** but it was so windy, that sand got blown into my eyes.... so I had to wind up the windows again... :( Yes yes, I know it was pretty silly of me... I'm an inexperienced driver ok?? Cut me some slack! :P
And seriously, I've never driven under such bad weather condition! Heavy rain and stuff... I can still deal with! But horizontal wind? Man....
I was even trying to work out whether it's better for me to drive faster? or slower, if the wind was horizontal?? All the time, I was hoping that some building/vehicle will be next to me, so it'll block off the strong wind! Hahaha. The little twister/sandstorm near the hospital, where they were doing construction work was quite a sight!
Anyway, all that matters is... I got home safe... and so did my car :) PHEW!!!
