Day Trip for Mommy...

We went up to Genting Highlands yesterday, just to have dinner with mommy. We're such good daughters huh?? Hehehe :) Well, actually... she's gonna be on leave soon, and so she wanted to clear her account, and decided to give us all a treat :) Who could resist good, FREE food huh? tee hee...

We brought grandma as well, since she hasn't been to Genting in awhile. She was even game enough to try the Genting Skyway - apparently the longest cable car in Asia, or something like that.

Genting - the city of entertainment at the background, covered by mist :)

Us, on board the cable car.

There are decorations and exhibits at the bottom of the ravine, to keep you entertained, so you won't get bored just looking at trees, and more trees during the 20 minutes journey.

We walked around for abit before resting for a cuppa @ Highlands Hotel. Bumped into a friend, who bought us drinks at Pizza Factory :) So we sat down for awhile, catching up while waiting for mom to come join us.

Fun & Kelvin @ Pizza Factory.

Grandma & Mei

Dinner was at the all fabulous Imperial Rama Restaurant :)

Us @ dinner

Yummy food.

The food was absolutely fantastic :) The prawns were fresh and yummy, and the fish was cooked to perfection! MmMmMMm.... The bill came up to about four hundred over, for the few of us... but it was worth it. Dinner was superb last night.

After dinner, we walked around First World Hotel to help digest dinner. Hehehehe.

First World Plaza.

Just us, mucking around, as usual :) Hehehehe...

Of Christmas tree, and a ferris wheel.. **Sorry this pic is blur. I am not very good with holding the camera still for night shots like these**

We left Genting around 9.15pm, but got stuck in a jam on the way down, along Karak Highway. It was a total stand-still! We thought it was really weird, cause it was a Friday night... and the jam should be on the opposite direction, considering it's gonna be another long weekend, with the new year holidays and all...

It turned out that a lorry has crashed into the ravine, and another cement mixer truck caught fire! There were police, firemen, and heaps of reporters along that stretch of the highway. We saw those rescue men with their ropes and stuff, and the firemen, putting out the fire... There were at least two fire engines there last night. The incident was reported on last night's Nightline News.

So yeaps... I digressed a little, but that was our eventful trip up to Genting Highlands yesterday. Not that I'm happy with someone else's misfortune... but wow! I haven't seen something like that in awhile... in a longgggg awhile actually.

Alrite, I better stop now, before I ramble on about the gory stuff.

And bubby, my ticket's changed already :) So... I'll see you soon!! *muah*

Change Is Inevitable...

I went down to Star Hill yesterday with my aunt, cause she wanted to change the lining of her LV bag. Since I haven't been to the new Louis Vuitton Gallery, I decided to tag along :) hoping that she might just get generous and decide to get me an LV bag as a Christmas/New Year's gift... Hahahaha... I'm still hoping :(

I was this close *hand gesture* to getting a Gucci bag, but decided against, cause I am way too broke to be able to afford one now. I've got to furnish the house when I get back to Melbourne... And besides, I have to start prioritising on things that I can spend on... Cause there'll be no more support from mommy and daddy :(

Bukit Bintang has certainly changed alot... The bus stop in front of Star Hill, where we used to crowd at, and wait for the bus, is now gone. The valet parking area is gone too... :( Instead, that area is now nicely decorated...

It's the home of Lecka Lecka - a gelati shop.

Their gelati's are not too bad, although I would say...the ones back on Lygon Street are wayyyy better! YuMmM! Speaking of which, I am craving for gelati now! :( I miss gelati... I miss Melbourne, I miss *YOU*

Lecka Lecka in front of Star Hill Shopping Complex.

They've got comfy couches, and little sofa's, for everyone to sit around, enjoy an ice-cream or two, order a few drinks, have shisha if you feel like it. It's really nice.

Grandma & Fun with their gelato's :)

Doesn't it look cosy??? And you've got privacy too :)

Mei enjoying her mango & watermelon gelati.

Right across Star Hill, used to be my alma mater... which doesn't exist anymore (Yes, I know I've said it before... but it IS quite sad). From where we were sitting, staring blatantly at us now, is yet another cash cow, called Pavilion. It's gonna be another one of those huge ass shopping complex cum business centre cum residential apartments.

The Pavilion (in the making)

Oh well, how things have changed... I guess change is indeed, inevitable... We've all changed and matured over the years too. But looking back now, the school days were certainly one of the best times of my life.

- Choral Speaking
- Cheerleading
- Toilet cleaning
- Floral arrangement
- Strict *borderlining absurd* school rules - folded socks, measuring of skirt lengths, sewing buttons onto pockets, measuring ribbon thickness, black colored ribbons on official functions etc.
- Kachang putih man
- Hunting down the flasher @ school.
- Banging of tables to make announcements during recess.
- "Senior" privileges

And many others...

For Better or For Worse...

December 23rd was an auspicious day for my cousin Michael, and his new beloved wife, Cherry :) The day the two of them, took the vow to become one... to cherish each other for better or for worse, till death do them.... NOT part.

Anyway, it's 3am now, and I just got home... so I'll let the pics do the talking :) Besides, most people only wanna see the photos anyway, when it comes to weddings! Especially the bride's dresses! Tee hee hee...

Arrival...

SOOOO CUTTEEEE...

One with the extended family :)

Tea ceremony - Grandma and cousin Michael.

Mommy & Cousin-in-law, Cherry.

Mei and the newlyweds!

Aunt Yin Har, Couz KokSoon, Aunt Yin King, and Funny lill tikus - having buffet lunch at the couple's new home.

Mom, couz Yew Siing, Mei, Grandma, Couz YewShyuann & Pei Shan.

The wedding dinner was held on the same night at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Funny, Gorgeous Grandma & Mei

Sorry this shot is a little blurry. My crap camera and my non-existent photography skills don't make a very good combination.

A shot with the "love birds" swans ice carvings. Why does every wedding has to have one of these??? Does it symbolise anything??? Or just cause they look kinda nice?

Funny & Mei, with those swans again...

The first dish - I got bored, and decided to snap a pic of the food. Surprisingly, food was pretty good that night! :) Doesn't it look just... colourful and yum???

Mandatory Family shot :)

And of course, the night will not be complete without a shot with the newlyweds! The pair that couldn't stop staring at each other the whole night... the pair that couldn't stop grinning... the pair that we hope, will live happily ever after...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Of Good Old Friends, and New Good Times

A few of us met up for lunch the other day, at Bukit Bintang. It's been awhile since I went down to that part of town... Bukit Bintang still carries sentimental memories to me, although the place is wayyy different now, as compared to when I was back in school. My school doesn't even exist anymore... and standing on its ground now, is a new mega shopping mall called Pavilion.

We had Japanese the other day at Sushi King :) Somehow, sushi trains in Melbourne don't taste as good... although they've got heaps of nice Japanese restaurants that serve good Jap food!

Good ol' Sushi King. I still remember the high school days, where we, the seniors (upper secondary) were allowed to dine outside of school... and we used to patronise the Sushi King @ Jalan Bukit Bintang... like heaps!! Not to forget, Macca's too!!!

Mei, Ade & Ming Yen.

And speaking of sentimental... I caught up with my primary school friend, Michelle, whom I have not seen for more than a decade, until she came to Melbourne earlier this year. It was good seeing her again after such a long time... and it's ironic how we became close (Yes, she used to hate me, cause she thought I was a snobby bitch back in school) Bleh! :P

Michelle, Mei & Ade

Thanks for shouting lunch, Mich!

Johnson & Michelle

Met Johnson for the first time that day too! Mich, he seems like a nice guy :) I hope he treats you well... Most importantly, I hope you guys are happy together! *hugz*

The trio again! :)

Lunch turned out to be really long... as usual. Johnson got a call from the office around 3pm, asking him where he went... cause he's been out of the office since... 1pm?? Hehehehe... naughty naughty!

Johnson, Mich, Mei & Ade

It feels good being home... As much as I hate the dodgy people, the bad traffic, the dirty toilets, the hot weather, and the list goes on... Home, still feels like home :) And it's good to be back...

Mich, clubbing next week when I feel better?? For the mean time, I'll drown myself with cough syrup... and sleep like a pig. Tee hee hee...

Tonight...

I got home from watching Happy Feet @ Mid Valley...
What seemed to be so mood-lifting 2 hours ago has lost its effect.
I catch myself staring blankly at your MSN nick, picturing your face as you sleep,
Imagining myself, running my little fingers through your hair.
I look at our photos again and again, hoping to feel better...
Worse still, I still subconsciously click on the link to your blog,
Hoping that I'll someday, see an entry about me.

As tired as I am, I tried to fall asleep... but my mind just wouldn't stop thinking.
Couldn't stop thinking...

I have never asked how you felt about me penning down my thoughts of you...
But tonight, it just feels as if I need to write.
It doesn't matter if my vocabulary seems limited, my grammar incorrect.

I just want you to know that right here, right now,
Someone, somewhere miles away...
Is thinking of you.
Wishing you were here...

It's true when I told you sometime ago,
That it hurts, when you love somebody too much.
And at this very moment,
The pain seems... somewhat unbearable :(

Bubby,
I.miss.you.

Something to ponder...

Have you ever wondered if you are the best thing that happened to your partner?
Or are you just the one that happened to be there at that moment?

Would you wanna find out more about his past??
If so, what do you do if you discovered things you wish you didn't??

Would you wish that he told you everything right from the start?
To be entirely open and honest on every part,
That way, there'll be no disappointments and uncertainties...
But there's also no journey of discovery...

So, what would you do, thinker???

**Edit: This entry does not reflect what I'm going through... Just pondering about a situation that my friend is in... So please, do not ask me about my relationship. Things are good :) Thank you very much...

Party People... It's Friday Nite ;)

This post is delayed because stupid Streamyx was screwed up, and I couldn't get online for 3 days! Freaking took them soooo longgg to fix it!

Went out for dinner @ Centrepoint, Bandar Utama last Friday...

Had my yummylicious char kueh teow with cockles at the New Straits Cafe! I never realised that fried kueh teow tastes sooo much better with cockles! tee hee hee... Those of you who don't take cockles will probably think I'm damn gross. :P

Mei, Fun & May Jean

Don't you think my sis and I look alike in this photo??

Clockwise from top: Mei, Shane, Su Zen & Shanice. ** Apparently, someone made a comment that Shane looks quite cute, because he looks Korean** Hehehehe :P

After dinner, we were supposed to have a drink in Bangsar, and meet my friend, Karen... but decided against, cause everyone else wanted to go clubbing downtown @ Poppy. So I decided to ring my buddy, Li Ling to find out where she was. To my surprise, she was already there! Hahahaha. What a coincidence indeed!!!

**And Kaz, I promise I'll make it up to you. Sorry for that night**

But then again, half of KL is in Poppy on Friday nights... So, no big surprise there! It's like my yearly catch-up place with my friends.... tee hee.

With buddy, Li Ling

Saw Carinne too!! I haven't seen this girl in agesssss! Like.... 3 friggin years?! Oh my gosh!!! It was such a pleasant surprise seeing you again!!! You still look good! :) The new hair cut makes you look young (like a little girl). hehehhee.

With my clubber kaki's - Cammie & Ling

A group pic :) - when everyone was still quite sober.

Another one :)

Sanjeevan & Mei - Fellow doctor!! :) Congratulations to you too, Sanj! See you back in Melbourne in January! But before that, we should party till we drop!

.
Cammie was red as a lobster after a couple of drinks! :) Hehehe. I was of course, still sober :P

I had a great night that nite, catching up with old buddies, and meeting a couple of new people :) As for Karen, when do you have time for me? We should really catch up! Just the two of us... without your friend's birthday party, and without my other friends. Hehehe. Just us... like a bonding session! Kakakaka...

What do you reckon? Sounds good??

Our Last Time?

Sau came from Singapore to visit us. He wanted to meet up, for he said this might be our last get-together before we all go our separate ways next year. Ade, Chee Yoong and I are still gonna be in Melbourne. Yong Shen is going to Gold Coast, and Ming Yen to Adelaide. Sau has decided to work in Singapore... So yeah... you can say we're all headed separate directions.

We brought him to Hartamas Square, to give him a feel of the hawker stalls "atmosphere" in KL. Sat down and chatted for abit before we decided to adjourn to the mamak stalls on the opposite side of the road :)

Ade & Mei with crushed ice dessert - personally, it was too sweet for my liking... Looks pretty though :) Hehehe.

Chee Yoong, Ming Yen, Yong Shen & Sau

We had our second drink at mamak, sat down and chatted for ages! Laughed our head off at Sau's lame jokes... and suddenly, everything seemed just like before. It's kinda unbelievable that we're no longer students now. We're a bunch of doctors, sitting at a mamak stall, cracking corny jokes, and making silly comments.

Then, I suddenly had cravings to have chilli lala (clams/phiphis) - @ 1am!
"I wanna eat lala"
2 minutes later....
"I wanna eat lala"
half an hour later....
"I wanna eat lala".

In the end, Ade had to ring her brother to ask where we can have lala at such hour, on a weeknight. :P WHEE! Thanks babe, you're the best!!

Ade, Sau & Mei

In the end, we headed back to SS2 for fried chilli clams to satisfy my cravings. But we were literally "harrassed" by those hawkers to patronise their stalls.

"Order from me... Mine's the best"
"No no, mine's better. I've been around for ages"
"No. You should try our new one. It's wayyy nicer"
"Don't listen to her"
"Shut up! Don't listen to him... Order from me".

OH MY GOSH! It was scarily horrible! I am not going back there again for some time... Unless I get desperate to have chilli clams again, at the weirdest hours of the night...

It was a good night out none-the-less... minus the dodgy stall owners! I probably won't be seeing the guys for some time. Thanks for the catch-up session! :)

Truly Malaysian...

Where else would you find signs like these in the ladies???

I can understand the first diagram, for it's pretty universal...
But the second?? Hahahahaha...

If you know what it means, you're probably one of the ladies who does that! :P
