Christmas in Copenhagen

Kristian and I went into the city yesterday to enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations. We went to Kongens Nytorv where they had a skating rink, and then to Nyhavn where there was a cute little Christmas market. We also made sure to get some Christmas goodies while walking around. We ate some yummy dessert crepes, and freshly made candied almonds. We had a really nice evening, and it was just right to get us in the Christmas spirit!

29 Weeks Prego!

I can't believe there is only 10 more weeks to go before we have our little baby girl!! Here are some pictures of the belly at 29 weeks, and a picture of Kristian and I at Thanksgiving. I have been playing with photoshop a little!

The Danes don't celebrate Halloween, but thank heavens the local theme park Tivoli does! Here are a few pics of Halloween in Tivoli. I was so excited to see the decorations!

Kronbrog Slot (Castle in Helsingor)

Kristian had the week off of school for Fall break, so we took advantage and went to see a castle in Helsinger. We took the train up there, and spent the day. It was a lot of fun, and of course it was beautiful with all of the fall leaves.

It's a....................GIRL!!!

Today we went to our 20 week ultrasound, and found out that we are having a GIRL!! A healthy girl! We are so excited. We also found out that I am a week behind what we originally thought, so the new due date February 21st. Hope the picture quality isn't too bad!

Fodbold Game!

Kristian's uncle took us to a pro soccer game on Sunday, and it was a blast! Our team(FCK) won 3-0! Right outside the stadium there were these big green things but I didn't realize what they were. Then Kristian informed me that they were urinals! Gross! Only in Denmark. I parked my bike right next to these, and after the game they were being used like crazy! All that Carlsberg beer!

Weekend Randoms and Prego Pics

So here is the belly at 18 weeks and 1 day! Getting bigger, but still hideable by loose clothing. I can now feel the baby lightly kicking, and Kristian has actually had the opportunity to feel it kicking around as well. Within the next two weeks we'll know the sex!

I have been craving pie since we got to Denmark, but they don't make pie in this country! So, I finally had to make one for myself. I made a raspberry/blackberry pie, and I must say it was pretty dang good! I have almost finished it off.

It was such a nice fall weekend, we had to stop and get some danish hotdogs! They have ketchup, 2 kinds of mustard, french fried onions, regular onions, and sweet pickles on top. Pretty tasty! Can you tell I'm pregnant by all of these pictures of food?

Weekend Adventures

A New Addition!

Kristian and I are excited to announce that we are going to have a baby! I am in my 13th week of the pregnancy, and the due date is February 15th. Right now the baby is about three inches long, or about the size of a peach. We are excited to share this experience with our family and friends, and will keep you posted as the belly gets bulging! Here is a pic of the proof, just in case you wanted it, which I am sure you didn't.

A Friendly Visit

We were very excited when our good friends Thomas and Lindsay came to visit! So, naturally we celebrated with icecream. Kristian's icecream cone was quite the master piece. It has a mixture of soft and hard icecream, chocolate covered marshmellows, and chocolate powder. They go all out in Denmark!

A Weekend at the Summer House

Kristian and I went with Bedstemor and Bedstefar to the sommerhus a couple of weekends ago. It was so nice to be in the country, and Bedstemor took us to pick strawberries at a local farm. The Danish strawberries are so sweet I swear someone snuck some sugar on them. Overall the weekend was really nice!

Copenhagen Zoo

We got year passes to the zoo, so we should be spending a good amount of time there.
