WOW...

It's been a while. I have been meaning to post about all of the stuff we have been up to but that didn't happen...Yes I am a procrastinator! Well, we have had birthdays, a vacation and ACE show, we went to the TEMPLE, played in the snow and it was our anniversary. So yes, we have been busy. Dylan turned 1 on the 29th of October...We had a party on the 25th because we would not be home on his birthday. I can't believe how he is growing up. He is such a smart little guy and surprises me each and every day. He loves to eat, his favorite is grapes, bananas, cheese, chicken, and bread…What doesn’t he like is more like it. He is the king of the castle and knows it. He has no patients…I wonder where that comes from. He is starting to try to make words and copying everyone around him. He is such a sweet little boy, I could go on and on about him. His birthday was super fun. He loved eating his cake and making a mess. He also loves to play with the cars and farm he got. We got to go to Orlando with the family for the Ace show in October. It was very fun and nice to get away for a whole week. Dylan Loved seeing the characters and riding some rides. In the Animal Kingdom park that had a petting zoo which was awesome. We were very busy while we were there but had tons of fun. After we got back we went to the temple to be sealed as a family. It was the most amazing day. I am so happy to have an Eternal Family. There is no way to explain the way I feel. After Thanksgiving we made a quick trip to the cabin to play in the snow. Of course Dylan loved it…until he got to cold that is. We thought we might get snowed I…and we almost did. I can’t wait to go back, I love visiting the snow! And finally, Jon and I have been married 2 years today. I can’t believe it, it seems just like yesterday we started. We are loving life and everything we are doing. I can’t imagine life without him. I love you Jon!! Here’s to many, many more amazing years. Well, there it is. I am going to try and do better, even if just for me and my records. I am not making any promises though!!

Quick Update On Us

Our lives have slowed down just a little for a while. Jon is working weekends this month so we have to stay home. He is also working on some wood items(benches, tables, etc) that we are thinking of selling at the Tree Festival, if they get done. Dylan is getting so big. I can not believe that he will be a year old in less than 11/2 months. The time has gone so fast. He is our little mess maker and he moves unbelievably fast. I am so scared of the day he starts to walk. He is getting to be so much fun, we just love to see him change and learn new things every day. It amazes me the things he figures out every day. I have been busy working and talking care of everything. Sometimes it seems to never end:laundry, dinner, cleaning...But I love every minute of it. I am helping with the BB site in mesquite a little now and love the the program(the food is always good) and also getting to know people better. It has been a great thing for our family. Jon and I have also started to take the Temple Prep class and are hoping to go to the Temple in the next couple months. We are really enjoy the class and the things we are learning. Well, There it is a quick(maybe) update on us.

Canning...

I have decided that I like to can things...I have never really canned anything, but this year has been a different story. Between my dad's garden and bountiful baskets(if you don't know about it ask me) I have had tons of fresh produce. Because of this, and the fact that no one else would, I began to can things. So far this year Jon, my Mom and Myself have canned: Apricot Jam, Chili Sauce, Salsa(green and red), Pickled Beets, and today or tomorrow apples. Some things turned out better than others, but you never know if you don't try. I would have to say the beets are my favorite and something I hope to do whenever I Have them.

Texas

Well, Our trip to Texas turned out to be pretty good. All we really did was Radio Shack stuff, but other than that it was nice to get away. I really enjoyed sleeping all night, I had forgot how nice it was. The place we stayed was SUPER nice. They had the entire hotel decorated like Alice in Wonderland for some summer thing they do...That was the only thing I really got pictures of. We only left the hotel once while we were there...It rained almost the whole time. Our room was under in the atrium part and we had a balcony under the glass so we just watched it rain from inside. So i guess all in all it was a good trip, but we were so excited to get home and see Dylan, we missed him alot!

Grandpa's Pumpkin Patch

We took a trip to Axtell last week. I was going to a day of training at the Radio Shack in Richfield, so we decided to make a little trip out of it. We were there for two days and had a really good time. It rained alot and the weather was awesome. We checked on the garden and picked some stuff. Dylan had fun playing in the pumpkin patch. We got a ton of squash but all the corn had worms which was kind of sad. Next week Jon and I are going to Dallas for a Radio Shack meeting and leaving Dylan with grandma. I don't know who it is going to be harder on, me or Jon! We have had a busy summer, it looks like things are going to slow down for a while(hopefully)!

Cabin

Wednesday, July 7, 2010

4th of July

We spent 5 days on the mountain over the fourth and had a blast. The weather was so nice, and we were able to just relax and do what we wanted. We road to Axtell one day to check things out. It was a nice little ride and we had fun checking the garden. Other than that we just had a good time riding the machines and visiting with family. We watched the parade in Duck Creek and played with sparklers at the cabin. We really did not want to come home...back to the heat and work...but we had to. We can't wait to get back up there this weekend!

Carrots...

Dylan had Carrots for the first time. I guess I wasn't feeding him fast enough because when I tried to take a bit of food this is what happened. He had fun and ended up eating alot...Although I think he got more on him then in him.

He has also started to move alot. He will roll and scoot all over the living room. He is also very good and getting twisted in the blankets and getting the books off the shelf.

Dylan and I went to watch Kristopher run in the realy races at school. Four of the fastest kids in each class ran in the relay. His class did not win, but they did great! It was fun to watch and we are proud of how good Kris did.

What's Been Goin on!

A lot has been going on lately. Here is a quick update. We went to Portland for Trevor and Sarah’s wedding. It was a short trip but fun. Dylan did great on the plane; he had no problem at all. I was sick most of the trip, but it was still good. It was fun to see everyone at the wedding. We also visited Jon’s Aunt Dorene and her family who live just outside of Portland. It was great to meet them and spend the day with their family.
Dylan is getting such a cute personality. He loves to eat and eats anything we give him. He is still doing great and we have so much fun. He is getting so big, I can’t believe it. He is strong and loves to move around. He likes to be on his feet, I don’t know if he will crawl or go straight to walking. Either way he is going to keep us busy!
We have been working on our backyard and enjoying the weather. (At least when the wind is not blowing) We planted a garden and some trees. It is looking really good, and it is great to be able to enjoy it.
Easter was good. Dylan was very interested in his basket. He only looked at the camera once; he was too busy trying to get everything. We had a good day visiting family, watching conference and relaxing.
Well, thats enough for now. I will try and post more often.

Enjoy,
-Jess

Time to update!

My blog was in need of an update which I have been putting off, but with a little
motivation(from Jami) here it is.
Everything is going good for us right now. We are having fun with dylan and love being parents. Jon and I are both working. I can take Dylan with me to work which is nice.
We stay pretty busy, sometimes it feels like we never stop.
I can't believe how much my life changed this past year, but I wounldn't want it any other way.
Dylan is getting really big. It is fun to see his little personality developing. He is getting really good and giving his dad a hard time. He is very "Loved" maybe even spoiled and knows that he is incharge. He is such a sweet little boy.
We love him so much!

New Years

For new years we got to spend a few days on the mountain. We had tons of fun and got to just relax alot. Dylan got to go on the snowmobile and seemed to like it...he went right to sleep. We did some sledding over at Aunt Susan's. All the kids loved it especially Jon. They would go down the hill and then ramp off the bank at the bottom. We can't wait for more snow to go back.

Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas...we were very spoiled! We started they day at at my (Jessica) parents house and then went to Jon's parents. Dylan didn't really care about anything, he just slept all day. I guess all the excitment just wore him out before hand.

Photo Session

Here are some pictures we had taken back in November! I think they all turned out so cute. Bethany did an awesome job, I can't even pick a favorite.
