It's Coming...

Source
I have had multiple people around me sick with multiple things from a cold to bronchitis to a nasty flu bug. I have managed to avoid it quite successfully but I have a fear it is coming. I woke up this morning with a headache, a bit of stuffiness, and that twinge in your throat. So I'm drinking hot tea, eating oranges, and taking my vitamins...I might even try chicken soup. I'm working really really hard to stay healthy. Wish me luck.

Under the Weather

I'm a princess!
Last week I got back into the habit of walking the dogs. I was taking each of them on a 40 minute walk around the neighborhood. Well apparently I over walked Eva because she injured her right front paw and has been put on rest for this week. We have to go through a nightly ritual involving a nasty smelling (and tasting I discovered accidentally) spray where I spray her paw while Ares tries to help. It's great!! I can't wait til she feels better and we can get back to walking she gets a little grumpy without her daily walk.

Perspective

"Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday." Wear Sunscreen by

It is amazing to me how time and time again my life is put into perspective. I have things going on in my life I worry about a husband in Japan, my parents divorce, my father getting remarried, my friends, my health, etc. But all of those were put into perspective last week. A dear friend was diagnosed with cancer and has begun a frightening and unknown journey in dealing with it. He is like a family member to me. I can't imagine what he and his wife are going through and I realize the only thing I can do at this point is pray. And appreciate what I have  in my life and the blessings that God has given me. So I encourage you to focus on your blessings and try and limit worrying because truly real troubles will blindside you when you least expect it.

Please say a prayer for my friend J and his family.

Dear Sick Co-worker,

To my dear sick co-worker,

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Please stay home and rest and recover. Seriously. When you come to work to try and work through it, you share your germs with all of us. Please stay home until you are well and go to the doctor to get the proper medicine. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Your co-worker who is now getting sick thanks to you

I spent my weekend in bed...

I have a crud...the doctor this morning called it an upper respiratory infection. I'm going on antibiotics. But right now I feel like crud. I'm sneezy, congested, coughing, and ucky all in one. My dear husband is a sweetheart and has been taking care of me but I'm worried he's going to get it.

I'm at work today....

I want to be home asleep on my couch.
