New Years Resolution

I have never been really big on making New Years Resolutions because I am horrible at keeping them. But this year I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I started working 6am to 3pm about 1 year ago and with getting up that early I have been relying on coffee get me through the mornings. It has become so bad that I am motivated to get out of bed knowing coffee is waiting for me downstairs!
So 2008 is the big turning point for me! I am quitting cold turkey! The first 2 weeks are going to be the hardest, dealing with headaches, and being irritable and tired. I am hoping this will make me a healthier person.
My second resolution for 2008 is to scrapbook more. My mom got me an awesome portable scrapbook organizer/carrier so I spent the weekend getting organized. Now that I have everything in its proper place I can begin to document our memories in a timely manner. I started with doing a page of getting our Christmas tree this year.

Do you have a New Years Resolution? If so let me know.

The Wii

What are the Holidays with out some family games? My brother brought home his Nintendo Wii for us all to enjoy. We had the 1st Radke Family Bowling Tournament, rocked out with Guitar Hero, and practiced our Boxing skills. We had a blast together!

O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Here is the final product!
Beautiful

Christmas Tree Adventure

Tyler and I have started our own family tradition. Each year we head out to Jack Lake Rd. which is outside of Sisters, almost to Sutte Lake, on an adventure to find the perfect tree. Each year we say "this is the best tree yet", but I think this year we have, by far found the best one! With our $5.25 tree permit, a saw, and some warm cloths we were off into the woods to score a perfect tree. Take a look at some fun pictures from our day in the snow.

Lots to be Thankful for

Wow it has been a LONG time since I have posted something. I will really work on being better at updating my Blog. With that said, here is what I have been thinking.

Thanksgiving, a great time to reflect on all I are thankful for. However after going through the holiday rush of visiting both sides of the family, friends, eating, and all the shopping, I realized I didn't slow down enough to think on all the things. So I have set a goal for myself. My goal is to consciously slow down and come out of my daily routine so that I don't let the little time go by with out thanking God for all my blessing.

Things I am Thankful For....
- My salvation
- My husband
- Our church
- Family
- Friends
- Our home
- Jobs
- Good health

Birthday Wish

My one birthday wish
was for my whole family to be together in Bend. My wish came true!
y mom, dad, sister, her husband, my nephew, and my brother all came for the weekend.
It was so awesome to have everyone together!
My family means the most to me and living 3 hours away from them has been very hard. So the times we spend together are treasured and well spent.
We had amazing weather and were able to spend time outside having a BBQ and playing in the park.
As my sister, brother and I get older the times we spend together are much more meaning full. We are able to have in depth conversations and learn from eachother since we are all at different stages in our lives. Family is such a blessing and I am so greatful I was blessed that we are all so close. This was one of my favorite times spent with my family.

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses. ~Joyce Brothers

Christmas 2006
What a great Holiday Season. I look forward to the time we get to spend with out family and friends. This year we spent a lot of our time driving. We started out by driving to the Coast on Dec 23rd for breakfast at the Casino. My gramdparents take the whole family out every year. We continued on to West Linn to have
Christmas Eve with Tyler's family, then back to Dallas for Christmas day with my family. All the driving is well worth it to be able to spend the holidays with the ones we love.
Family is so important to me! I have been extremely blessed not only to have such a close family but to have such amazing inlaws.
