Jaxon is here

November 9 2006 Jaxon Dale was brought into the world. I am now an aunt! I am very excited and proud to have such an amazing nephew. He was born 8lbs 1oz and 18.5 in long. The love I feel for him is amazing and I'm not even his parent, so I can't imagine the love that is overflowing from his parents. My sister Amy is doing great, she was a real trouper through the delivery! I admire her for the amazing pregnancy she had and the patience she showed through the delivery! I look up to her as a sister and a friend!

Encouraging Verse

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

As I sat in church last night worshiping and taking communion this verse kept coming to my mind! This morning I read it again in my devotions and each time I read it I find it so encouraging and a great reminder as I start my day. Living unto righteousness is so freeing! God Bless

South Sister Hike

Hiking is a hobby that my husband absolutley loves. Since we have been married I have grown to love it as well. Last summer he kept trying to get me to climb the South Sister with him, but he wasnt sucessful. So this summer I gave in and Sunday Aug 20th I made the journey. It's only 6.5 miles but since it is 10,000 feet to the top it takes quite a while 4.5 hours to be exact. The hiketo the top is very beautiful but at the same time VERY hard! Once I got to the top I realized what an amazing journey I had just made. I am definalty very happy that I can now say I hiked to the top of the South Sister!!

Weekend in Mac

I finally got a change to venture away from Bend and spend a much needed weekend with one of my best friends Jenna. We spent the weekend getting pedies, watching movies, swimming, and catching up.

Jenna was my first room mate in college. We were amazing friends before we moved in together. We learned the hard way that sometimes friends just can't be room mates. Our friendship has gone through so much it is amazing to see what the Lord has brought us through and how much stronger our relationship has become. We have both grown up a log in the last 2 years with getting married and buying houses our lives have changed a lot but we still remain great friends.

San Fran Road Trip

Tyler (my husband) and I took a road trip to San Francisco. It was so much fun we were able to spend a lot of quality time together and see some very cool sites. We started out by driving all the way from Bend to San Francisco and checked into our amazing hotel. We then just dinked around for 2 days; we went to the Golden Gate Bridge, drove down Lombard Street AKA the Crookedest Street and did some shopping! After San Fran we drove over to Napa Valley and did some wine tasting. Boy is that expensive! We didn’t realize it was so much money so we just walked around most of them and did tasting at 1 of the Wineries.

After Napa we continued up along the Coast and made a stop at the Redwoods. Did some hiking and stayed over night at a very interesting hotel! It was 11:30 at night and we took the last room at a total dive! But it defiantly made for a memorable stay :) In the morning we woke up and set out to Bandon Oregon where we kicked it on the beach for most of the afternoon. We finished out drive home along the Umpqua River! What an amazing place. Our trip was so relaxing very nice to spend quality time together.
