Thomas Train Trip

Below some pics from our trip last weekend to ride and see Thomas the Tank Engine!!! All of our kids love trains, especially Naylan and Aydan. It was a family trip that we all took with Landon's parents. We took a 25 minute train ride on Thomas, and played at their imagination station. Saw a real Thomas model train set, that was really neat. We had lots of fun and everyday since then Naylan has been asking to Thomas again. I keep telling him in 1 more year, unfortunately he does not have a clue of how long that is. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

new pics

Here are some pics from this week at the Pool house. As you know, I very seldom have pics of myself. Not that I don't like to get my picture taken, I am just the one behind the camera most of the time. The kids are doing great. Landon has been sick this past weekend, but is feeling better today. I have been keeping the kids busy by taking them to the new Jumping Party down the street from our house. This is awesome for me b/c the kids can have fun, burn energy off, and be entertained all inside. We don't have to worry what the weather is like. Today is a good example with all the wind, they might blow away. Anywho, have a great week. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

life an adventure

Here are some thoughts that have been in my mind this past week...wanted to share. Life is such an awesome adventure! Just when you think you have it all figured out God shows his amazing ways and everything is way more wonderful than you thought. God has been showing me how real and tangible he is in our lives. Even when things are not going how we think they should go... he brings joy, peace, and comfort. He is showing me that my life is in his hands and I can rest, trust, and know he is completely in control. This of course only can happen if I choose to give him control and rest in his hands as his little girl. He has such an huge call on all of our lives! This adventure we call life, is only worth it if we live it to be completely who God has created us to be. We all go through hard times in our lives, but it doesn't have to be full of pain and discomfort. If we turn and ask God for his help, peace, joy, comfort...he WILL bring it and help us through those times. The Pool family loves all of you and hopes your week is full of God's joy!!

Blessings and Happy New Year!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a great one filled with lots of busyness. The kids were blessed with more than enough. An abundance of new toys, books, and yes some educational stuff too. Below are their Christmas pictures. As you can see they don't like to cooperate by all sitting together posing (give them a break they are only 3,2, and 1). I think they did a pretty good job and they had fun being together on the bench, until it fell over...oops! Everyone always wants a picture of all three of them together, so here you go. Landon and I also got someone to take a picture of us together, this is a rare thing ....so enjoy that one too. Hope your new year is full with an abundance of blessings, joy, and prosperity. Love you all!

Christmas is coming......13 more days!

The Pool family is awaiting Christmas on this cold rainy day in Texas. We have a full next 13 days with christmas events, parties, and lots of wrapping to do. We are staying very busy with lots of stuff going on here in the Pool house. Landon is part-time at Acton United Methodist Church as their head audio engineer, and is now the new technical director at Harvest Church. You can check out the Harvest website, www.lifeatharvest.com, to look at some of his work (on the website) and mine (all photography). He of course is still doing his business, Big Ear Sound and has been having a good amount of installs for different churches. He also now has a new venture, teaching a Audio/Visual Class at a home school based program here in Granbury called SHAPE Academy. Believe it or not he still has plenty of time for the family. As for me, I get the privilege of staying at home with our 3 wonderful children. They keep me running all the time, but it is worth getting to see them grow and very fast I might add. Naylan will be 4 years old on Feb. 27th. His new favorite thing to do is play on the computer. We got him his own Apple computer for Christmas, an older model of course, and he is already mastering Nick Jr.'s website and others. Aydan is 2 1/2 years and loves doing everything his older brother does. He also loves to take things from Khylan, but then he will hug and kiss her after he does it. Khylan is 15 months old and she definitely knows she is the little princess of the house already. She has learned many things from her older brothers like how to throw dirt, say no and much more. They are all so adorable and we wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. When I am not taking care of the kids, which is most of the time, I do photography. God has blessed me with many opportunities this year to practice my passion and I have been loving it. I have been doing all the photography for our church and some for a non-profit organization called Trinity Mission. I might also be teaching a photography class for SHAPE Academy in January. We are truly a blessed family and this year has been full of watching God pour out his abundance over every aspect of our lives. We are very thankful for all he has done for us and hope your year has been blessed too. Until next posting..... Landon, Brooke, Naylan, Aydan, and Khylan Pool
