Practicing tennis with Daddy

Busy boy loves to play, play, play!

Cam

Boys are very different than girls, and I am learning that mothering a boy can also be very different.  Every child comes with their own unique personality, and it can be hard to figure out how to give them what they need and how to raise and support them.  Cameron is full of energy!  He is non-stop, and talks non-stop.  He is a collector and always has to have something in his hands.  This time it was his tennis balls.  Usually it's EVERY color of crayon, and it has to be every color.  If one color is missing he freaks out.  But every time we leave the house, he has to have something in his hand.  He melts my heart and I love him so much.  He definitely has Daddy wrapped around his little finger...and I guess he has me too!

Girls Night Out

The girls and I had a night out with ice cream and a movie.  We had so much fun!  I love how much they love to go out on their dates with us.  Usually we take them one on one, but I wanted to take both of the girls this time.  These two have brought me so much joy and purpose.  The 3 of us have been through a lot together, and I know Heavenly Father blessed me with them for me.  I need them more than they need me.  Life is hard as a mom, and the day to day struggles can be overwhelming and defeating.  But then I have moments like this, where time stands still and I understand why I love being a mother.

Birthday Party!

Scales and Tails was such a hit for Jordan, so we decided to have Taylor's party there as well.  The kids LOVED it!  They were so brave and held every creepy crawly thing that was there. I loved that the party wasn't at our house and that I didn't have to worry about any of the entertainment!  After we played with spiders and snakes we headed to the park for pizza, presents and cake!  Another brilliant decision-take them somewhere they can run around and scream and not destroy anything.  The party was a success, and Taylor was one happy birthday girl!
