That Boy

Taylor is obsessed with necklaces and is always wearing at least 5 around her neck. This morning after she put on her jewelry she said:
Taylor: "I'm getting married in the temple"
Me: "Who are you going to marry?"
Taylor:"A boy...I need to get that boy!" (her little voice was so cute saying it, I wish I had it recorded)
Me: "What boy?"
Taylor: "I don't know, but I need to go and get him!!"

Oh Taylor, all in good time. For now you just need to be my baby girl

Life in the fast lane...

This week has been insane! And I leave for CA on Sat, so I am trying to get it together by then (it's a crazy goal, but a girl can hope right?) We officially moved into the house on Saturday and it has been non stop since. This week I have cleaned out the condo, cleaned the carpets, taken 4 trips to DI, moved furniture, taken care of the girls (I like how I just throw it in a list like it's no big deal!), taken care of the puppy (that has been impossible), unpacked boxes, bought a new bedroom set and washer and dryer! There are a bunch of other things, but those are the big ones. I am loving our new house, but we have found some problems with the house. Living in a house for a month before buying the the way to go! We find all the problems, and the owner fixes them, then we buy the house! But there is a major leak from the master tub into the dining room!!! So, we will have a plumber over here probably cutting a hole in the ceiling-great.
With all of that said, we have decided to sell the puppy. She was doing great in the condo, but as soon as we moved she started peeing all over the place. The biggest problem with this is we are not allowed to have a dog here until we buy the house. So, I am hiding this puppy from the owner who comes over all the time to fix our list of problems. I have spread myself too thin with this move, and just can't do it all anymore. The girls are going crazy with the change and transition (again), and I need to focus all of my energy on them and ensuring they are secure and happy.
This was such a hard decision, but it was made a little easier when i realized that the novelty of a new puppy had worn off with the girls and that they were ok without Leah. Byron and Hayley were so nice to take Leah for the next 5 days while I try to get it together. Katelyn and Taylor didn't even notice that she was gone!!! I said, "Leah is with Byron and Hayley. What do you think about finding her a new home?" Katelyn then said, "Can I get a trampoline?" I said, yes and then she said, "Ok, let's find Leah a new home!" So, here I am going crazy, and the girls don't even care if we keep the dog!
We have decided that right now is not the time to have a puppy. We need to get settled in our new neighborhood and life. The girls need to be a little older.
I am sad because Leah is the perfect dog! She has a great temperament and is adorable!
But I know this is best for my sanity and for our family right now.
If you knwo of anyone in Utah who may be interested in an adorable puggle please let me know.

It's finally happening!

This week is CRAZY! I am packing and moving this Saturday into THE house! We first saw this house last summer, and things just never worked out. But, it has finally happened and it's a miracle this house is still available! We decided to rent out our condo and try to sell it when the market turns around. I am very excited and absolutely LOVE this house. The girls are excited to have a backyard and Katelyn now insists on having a trampoline in it! I must say that NONE of this would be possible without my amazing husband Chad. Thanks Babe! Once again you have made another dream come true:) XOXO

Think Spring!

I am now on a roll decorating for Easter! Maybe if I think spring and decorate spring, spring will actually come!
Don't you LOVE these chickies!?
I am giving this one away, but am thinking maybe I will make one for myself:)
I am SO excited about these eggs! I saw the marbleized eggs on Martha Stewart and wanted to give it a try. I got together with my sister in laws and we figured it out! I am in love with them! Then I got some pussy willow branches, put them in a pot and hung these cuties up.

Taylor and Leah

Byron and Hayley came up over the weekend and it was great to have their company and help while Chad was at work. Thanks for keeping me sane guys! Byron has an amazing camera and amazing skills, so I asked him to take some shots of Taylor and Leah. Katelyn was playing at a friend's house and I am sad we didn't get shots of her-next time.
A couple of shots of the two of us...glad I hadn't gotten ready yet!
These pictures are just precious! Taylor adores this little puppy-sometimes TOO much! She squeezes her to death and can hardly contain her excitement when around her. Leah has been patient with her, but look at her face when Taylor is holding her. She is saying,"Will somebody please save me!"
Leah sure is the cutest pup and has been worth getting. She is the perfect addition to our family!
The many faces of Taylor! Taylor is such a character and lives in her own world. Everything she says is made into a little song and she wanders around singing and talking to herself. It is cute and adorable, except for when you need her attention or need her to follow directions. I have said it before, but this girl is pure JOY!

PJ Party!

Saturday night we decided to have a PJ party! We rented Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, got treats, blew up air mattresses and got in our cozy PJ's. The girls were so excited, and it is always fun to spend time together as a family. Chad has been working crazy hours (7am-9pm and Saturdays), and will be working these hours all month. So we have all been a little crazy around here! It was good to just stay home and be together.

Only in Utah...

Is it 50 degrees in the morning, and then dumping snow in the evening! We woke up to a foot of snow! And this is what happened to our poor tree by our front walkway. I feel bad for the tree...just couldn't be strong anymore! Then that afternoon it warmed up again and all of this snow melted! When will it be Spring!?

Cutest Picture

This is why we bought a puppy...
It is the cutest thing to see the girls play and snuggle with the puppy. When I took Katelyn to preschool, Taylor held Leah and they both fell asleep in the car. This little puppy actually hasn't been that hard. She still hasn't peed in the house-wahoo! And she has a great temperament. The hardest part has actually been dealing with the girls! I am a referee all day and they are constantly fighting to hold her. Poor thing gets mauled all day! And Taylor still needs to learn how to be gentle with her. She loves her too much and will sometimes get rough with her. But overall, I think this was a good decision. It's a learning curve of course, just like bringing home a baby, but it's worth it. Plus I say it's giving Chad good practice for when we have a baby!
