Sketchy Thursday 1/20 Sketch
HOWDY ALL!
I played along with Sketchy Thursday this week!
Here is the sketch:
and here is my take (I will take a better pic in the morning when the sun wakes up!):
Journalling says: "Snow is a little Slippery!".
I used papers from Imaginisce Polar Expression and some white cardstock that was sprayed with Hoola Hoop Glimmer Mist and inked with Lime Pastel Cat's Eye Chalk. The snowflake bling I think came from the Imaginisce Cottage Christmas. The ribbon and journal spot is from my stash. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Imaginisce Found Object Altered Project
HOWDY!
I decided to play along with Imaginisce January Challenge to Alter a found object. I found this kleenex box cover at the thrift shop a couple months ago, and knew I could make it look a lot PRETTIER for my scrappy room!
This is what it looked like when I bought it:
I decided it would be great to make a side for all 4 seasons, (sorry pics aren't very good, I will take more once the sun comes up tomorrow!) NICE N SUNNY!! GOT GOOD PICS! LOL!
Here is Spring, I used papers from For Peeps Sake, and the Chubby Chicky Stickers from Lucy Bird:
Here is Summer, I used papers and the glass stickers from Splash Dance:
Here is Fall, I used paper from The Apple Cider Collection, I LOVE all the fall things on this paper so I didn't use anything else except the title:
and Winter, I HATE Winter and the cold, but this is MY FAVE side of this project. I used papers and the Chipboard stickers from Polar Expressions Collections.
Here is a pic of the top, I used papers from For Peeps Sake collection, I cut 3/4 inch strips and did an accordian fold and glue several together and around my circle. The small flower is what I had left over and I just folded the strip into 1/3rds and twisted it to make a little flower. The leaves are free handed and I just did some pen work. The lace is from my stash. And of course, I used Modge Podge to glue it all down!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Cutters Creek Glimmer Mist Challenge
HOWDY ALL!
I PLAYED TODAY!! WOOHOO!!
I am using this one layout for 3 different Challenges:
1. Cutters Creek Glimmer Mist Challenge.
2. 52 Week Challenge on my Yahoo group Scrappin'-n-Chattin'.
3. Sketch Challenge on Scrappin'-n-Chattin'
I used this sketch:
Here is my layout (which I flipped):
Journalling reads: How hard can it be to get all 4 kids to smile and look at the camera? EXTREMELY!! LOL! As you can tell these are just SOME of the MANY we took to get the perfect one!
First of all, I sprayed my White cardstock with Peppermint Stick Glimmer Mist. Then I cut the bracket shape out of just regular paper and used it as a mask. I used a paint brush and Peppermint Stick to color in the shape. I sprayed my Jillibean Soup Corrugated Alphas also.
I used Jenny Bowlin Mini Christmas Bingo card and Journal spot. Flowers and buttons are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sketchy Thurs and DYSU Challenges
HOWDY ALL!
I finished this layout this morning and almost forgot to get pics and upload them! This is using Sketchy Thursdays Sketch and also for Do You Stack Up Cute as a Button Challenge. I had to use this sketch (well I used all the elements! I wanted more pics and REALLY like how this turned out):
I think you can still see the sketch in my take:
Journalling at the top says: "A heavy frost made the trees Sparkling Beauty's"
Here are my last two pages together:
I used Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost 6 x 6 Pad, the buttons and ribbon are from my stash! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by and having a look!

TPV and Bo Bunny
HOWDY ALL!
Here is my layout for Bo Bunny's Layout Challenge Friday! I was going to use it for The Paper Variety Snowflake challenge, also. Unfortunately for me and my SLOW DIAL-UP INTERNET!! UGH!! I had it posted here on my blog, but didn't make the deadline to link it up before the Noon deadline!! OH WELL, I tried Abby and Suzanne!! Story of WHY I ran so late is below!
Anyways, I used this sketch:
and here is my take, I flipped it:
I used Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost 6 x 6 Paper pad. The smaller snowflakes are embellishments, larger snowflakes are buttons that I cut the shanks off of, and the buttons are all from my stash. I used a blue pen for my faux stitching around the edges.
I am also using this over at Do You Stack Up. It's a NEW Challenge blog and their first challenge is Cute as a Button! GO OVER and check them out!
I had this layout in mind for a few days and knew that it would be GREAT for several challenges. WELL, I got up EARLY this morning and had it together and photographed in good time. THEN as I was getting ready to edit my pics and upload it, the fluorescent light right above my computer started blinking, I look up and SMOKE is coming out of it!! OMG!! So, I IMMEDIATELY jump up and turn the lights off, call Hubby who had ran to town. So, he comes home and decides the starter in the light has gone bad and since he didn't want to go back to town, he had a 4' light to replace it with and it would only take about 20 minutes to switch it out.
WELL that was 9:30ish. At 11:45 I got freaky and was trying to get my layout uploaded to my blog and then to The Paper Variety! While he is on a ladder over my head making me NERVOUS! By 12:30 I FINALLY have a new light! Then SILLY ME says well the plug-in hasn't been working for a month, could you fix it? YES, SO by 3:00 my scrap room has electricity back to it and I am finally finishing my post that should have been done BEFORE 10 this morning! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
