new year new year, i like! right, this year's wasnt as great as last year's one mainly because our family didnt return to m'sia. so there goes all the authentic fire crackers that sparks off the mood, but there was still reunion dinner with uncle lawrence and family at xing hai shan (katong). i dont think i mentioned this before, but my family started dining there since i was a baby, amazing. and not to forget, i only received less than 10 ang baos dammit.
there were a few visitings around (jane, est, levin, mrs wei, winsty's place), and i enjoyed every session of gambling. but honestly, its just the company of my friends i enjoy most.



THEN intern resumed. gaaaah, back to the 9-6 schedule. but the good thing was that i got 2.5 days off work cos of cny, and lady boss packed me a bigfat 50bucks. heh!
it was demoralising today though. just to update y'all, im in the midst of organising an inter-hotel soft tip darts tournament for my company. ive got the proposal/poster done up and phonecalls/emails have been sent out to the respective hotel hr departments. but respone is bad bad bad. the only thing i could do was to seek help from my fellow collegue and DAMN is she the nicest thing in that building i tell you. she encouraged, motivated, and we spoke quite abit about marketing etc. thanks wanling, hopefully tmr's response will be better.



i cant wait for the weekends man. more activities to come! :]

well intern has started and i definitely need a few weeks of getting used to. just felt like dozing off whenever each hour passed (sometimes i wish i was hiro. YATAAAAA).

my company's basically the sole distributor of dart machines in singapore, and we deal with event planning and management. my job scope involves coming up with new marketing strategies, especially coming up with a new proposal on how to reach out to the corporate side, and also to make night visits to pubs/bars to discuss with the owners on how to improve sales yada. yes WTH. day1 and ive been bombarded with such an itinerary!? not to forget, ive started budgeting for an upcoming competition. darn, ive not even been awarded a diploma yet.
but what can i say, its definitely gonna be one hell of an experience.

apart from the upcoming hectic days, everything else is good. ive got nice collegues who recommend me good food in the kopitiam and i get to learn how to play darts. coolies eh. at least i know some shit about the game now haha. my supervior even invited me to have a game of darts tonight at some bar, but nuh. too tired and ive got dinner with the folks.

so much for day1, i hope my other mates are doing fine. and my liaison officer's gonna visit me tomorrow. i hope he'll go like: "no miss XXX, that's too much work for the poor boy there"
