My 1st Christmas layout.

Getting the Christmas card made can be difficult. Getting Kyle settled down to get pictures done can be difficult, almost as hard as getting Scott to do it !!!! ha ha ha ha ! Think they came out pretty good.

I got the 2 pages done and in the frames and hung up and realized I forgot to take pictures.....so took them in the frames.

Okay had to take them out of the frames and try another picture................. the light above the pictures reflected in the glass.

     Well, got my Thanksgiving cards mailed out ...... along with my ornaments for the Gecko Galz Ornament Swap. I also went to a Christmas Card Class and made 18 very nice card - I am now strarting to address my Christmas cards. Hoping to have them all out by Dec.1st.
     Here is page 3 of the Christmas playing cards. I am hoping to get somethings made with them over Thanksgiving weekend so maybe I will have a post with some projects for you to see.

Getting ready for Thanksgiving

Haven't been into decorating for the holidays much but now that I have my grandson, that has changed. we decorated for Halloween and now I have made a Thanksgiving banner. Here is a picture:

It is a on going project, I have a few more panels I am working on. I really enjoyed making this and I am even thinking about making a Christmas one, so keep your eyes open because I will post it when I get it done.

As well as the samples I have made using the images:

Basic directions:
All cards are made with cream color cardstock for the card base and everything is inked in Close To My Heart Saddle brown. Card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half.  and card fronts are 5 1/4 x 4. 

Card 1: "You Are The Apple of my Eye"
The card front is paper from my stash, the apple I found on google images (if you can not find a embellishment, go to google images and type in what you are looking for print it out and then cut !!!) I put a pop dot behind the leaf to pop it out and tied some brown and white bakers twine around the stem. The words are stamped with small alpha stamps.  

Card 2: "For You" 
I rounded the corners on this card...... makes for a softer looking card.  The card front is paper from Gecko Galz from the Neverland paper set. I punched out a flower and matted the image with paper from my stash. and put a button in the middle of the flower and tied a bow with brown and white bakers twine and glued it to the middle of the button. The words are stamped with small alpha stamps. 

Card 3: "You Are My Sunshine"
Card front was another google image of sunshine (amazing what you find on google). The ribbon is American Crafts sheer in a yellow color. The words are stamped with small alpha stamps. 

 Christmas Ornament: "Baby's First"
Paper i used for the ornament was Gecko Galz Winter Wonderland paper set called Bizzard. I used the ornament die from spellbinders (cutting a front and back). I used a piece of silver to make the ornament cap. The image was matted with blue cardstock and the ribbon was American Craft blue sheer. I used a small white tag and wrote Baby's 1st on it with a brown pen. It is tied on with brown and white bakers twine.

Gecko Galz June Sample

It has been hectic around the patch lately, having alot of work done around the house....but I did get my June sample done for Gecko Galz. Got a nice bunch of stuff to work with this month, I went with the sewing theme.

Now to get in gear and start working on next months project. haven't the foggiest what I am gonna do so got to get going !!!!

This is my grandson Kyle.....my daughter Danielle loves taking pictures of her nephew and wanted to get one in a cowboy hat now that he is living in Texas but he was not cooperating. Had to wait until he was asleep to put a hat on him. He is so darn cute when he is sleeping. Archiver's Exclusive Easter Card Kit....with Tim Holz Stamps

     Got my kit in the mail on Saturday and got them done to show you. The kit makes 8 mini cards and 8 tags, I don't make tags at Easter so will save them for when I do my Christmas kit that I got also. I did change these up. First, if you know me....I only make A2 size cards (as the girls say "Barbara's size cards"), so that is what they became and then I like to change them up here and there. I still have to add the sentiments to the front of the cards but otherwize they are done. Here they are:

I am making Valentine cards.....Archivers had a great kit which is a exclusive for them. It uses Tim Holtz stuff, what can be better than that. They are mini cards but if you know me - I had to make them my size. Here is my cards:

     I have been so busy I have neglected my blog.........my New Years Resolution is to not do that  this year !!!!! LOL This is my December project I made for Gecko Galz (getting into alittle of the Steam Punk thing).
