Now most people have heard the saying "Don't cry over spilled milk." Well the person that said it must have been a man or obviously not a mother. Yesterday morning I had just got done feeding lil guy and decided to pump since he had fallen asleep while eating. So, just as I finish pumping lil guy wakes up crying. I pick lil guy up and walk over to the sink to clean up everything. Just as I am sitting the milk on the counter in slow motion it falls and spills all over the floor. I know they say not to cry over spilled milk but let me tell you I wanted to start crying that very second. It had been a couple of rough days for me anyways so this was the icing on the cake. The day luckily got better for me but it was a very rough start. Those that have either pumped or been around other mothers who have, know how precious those ounces of pumped milk really are. So, if you are a mother who pumps and then spills the milk, don't worry it's ok to cry over spilled milk.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!

Christmas time
Well our whirlwind of Christmas celebrations has come to an end. This year was another great year and lil man had a lot more fun this year. We did the normal Christmas Eve w/my mom's side, Christmas morning with my dad's side and Christmas day w/my hubby's side. It was a great time with family. On Christmas Eve lil man was so tired but didn't want to go to sleep. He helped his sisters get the cookies ready for Santa but we told them not to get the milk yet because they weren't going to bed right then. We watched the Disney special Prep and Landing and finally lil man fell asleep. The next morning I went to wake lil man up and told him we needed to go see what Santa brought him. Before he even opened his eyes the first thing he said was "Did we put out the milk." :) Since he had fallen asleep before the girls put out the milk and cookies he wanted to make sure it had been done. He cracks us up with what he says. All the kids had a great time opening all their gifts. It is always fun to see your kids open presents that they really wanted. Here are some pics of Christmas morning.
Lil man after finally giving up to sleep.

My Buddy

To start off I just want to say I have 4 wonderful nephews that I love so much. Out of those 4 I have one who is very dear to me, my buddy! It all started when I moved back from college after I had started dating my hubby. He had Bible study along with his brother in law on Tuesday nights. Right after my 2nd nephew was born I went over to my sister in law's house to help her out with him. Not only was it a great time for me to build a very special friendship with my sister in law but I also got very close to my nephew. He was my buddy when he was a baby and I loved every minute of it. As he got older of course he "grew" out of me :) On Christmas I got the best present ever and he made my day! He was sitting on the couch with his brother and cousin and I was sitting on the other couch. He was busy playing his DS when all of a sudden he looked over and saw me. My buddy came running over and sat right next to me and showed me his Star Wars game. Out of all the gifts I opened that afternoon I would have to say that was my favorite. Although he might continue to "grow" out of me, he will always be my buddy!

Santa Claus is comin to town
Santa Claus came to church Sunday night for a special visit. The kids enjoyed sitting on his lap. I was impressed with lil man he got up there all on his own. It was pretty funny because I could tell at first he had his nervous smile but he went ahead and did it. Lil man asked Santa for a train set, our youngest daughter asked for a iTouch and lil guy asked for an outfit and some toys. My oldest nephew told me he saw Santa's sleigh coming to church, he was looking in the sky and saw a blinking red light which was Rudolph of course. He told his mom Santa was on his way! I love kids especially this time of year! Here are some pics:

I hope you have all your shopping done and enjoy all the wrapping, cooking & eating!!

Jacket v Coat
Our lil man doesn't like having to wear his coat. He doesn't fight us anymore but he tries to reason with us that he doesn't need his coat. The other day we were driving to work and he said, "Mommy, it's going to be sunny today so I don't need my coat." How I wish that were true but just because it is sunny doesn't mean it is going to be warm. The day he made that comment I think the high was only going to be in the 20's maybe.
It's fun to see kids try to reason though. I mean it makes sense if it is sunny it will be warm, right? :)
Enjoy the week before Christmas! I hope you have fun shopping, wrapping, cooking and whatever else this week might entail.

Back to work I go
Well, my lil guy is 6 wks old so that means back to work I go. Yesterday was my 1st day back to work and wasn't that bad. It is nice knowing that my boys are watched by family and this wasn't the 1st time I had to leave my lil guy which I think it made it easier. The hardest part about going back to work is the mornings. Not only do I not get to go back to bed after lil guy's early morning feeding but getting 2 boys ready under the age of 3 is a task. Luckily for me my wonderful hubby has helped with getting the oldest fed and dressed. Lil man was excited to get back to work. One of the perks of working for family in the job I do is my kids can come to work with me. Lil man loves playing on the mowers and seeing everyone. My cousin will take him back to the shop where he has taught lil man to tell the mechanics "Get to work." It's pretty cute and they don't seem to mind when he says it. Everyone loves having him around the office. I am hoping that lil guy loves the office as much as lil man does. Yesterday was a little overwhelming but I think a majority of it was because I was trying to get everything set up and back to normal. Today went much smoother and lil guy was perfect! He laid in his pack and play and cooed and smiled looking at his toys. So, hopefully this continues running smoothly because I really love having my boys at work with me.

The Christmas Season in Full Swing
Well, I only have 2 people left on my list and then all my shopping will be complete! It's a great feeling to have most of my shopping done and even some wrapped already. The cutest thing happened yesterday while I was wrapping. Lil man was "helping" me wrap, and I kept telling him that the gift was not for him. He looks at me and says, "you keep telling me it's not for me, you are killing me, you are killing me" as he throws his hands up in the air. It was so cute I had to laugh. I am hoping the gifts he helped me wrap will be kept secrets since now lil man knows.
Our house is decorated, Christmas music is playing and presents are being wrapped. I love this time of year. The hardest part for me is keeping the gifts until Christmas. I am the worst with my wonderful hubby. Usually I have to wait and get his gift on Christmas Eve. I get so excited when I get something for him that I know he really wants that I just want to give it to him right away. This year he got his gift early since he got a MacBook.
On another note tomorrow will be a kind of hard day. 6 weeks have already passed and it's time for me to get back to work. I can't believe that our lil guy is already 6 wks and I am having to go back to work already. It will be interesting to see if lil guy is as good at work as lil man. It will also be interesting to see how I do at work w/2 lil ones. Lil man is pretty good and knows what he can do and not do at work so we will see how is lil brother will be.
Hope everyone has a great week!

1 month already?!
I hope everyone is having fun getting ready for the Christmas season. We put our tree up last Sunday afternoon and the kids decorated the basement. Lil man is excited for Santa to come. Santa is going to be visiting our church in a couple of weeks so it will be interesting to see if he is scared or not to sit on his lap this year. Last year he was fine if his sisters held him and sat with him on Santa. Kids are so fun at Christmas time.
Here is another picture of our lil guy at a month old. This picture cracks me up because it looks like he is ready to box. I think he is just getting ready for his older brother :)

Thanksgiving Break
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday. Ours was busy and packed with fun and family. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at our home with my hubby's side of the family. It was a beautiful day. The kids were able to spend the afternoon playing football outside. I decided to pass on the Black Friday shopping this year. Although I was up at 4:30 to feed lil guy I decided I would rather go back to bed then go shopping. I have even found this year I enjoy online shopping. So far I have bought several presents online without having to get out w/2 lil guys. A huge plus for me.
The day after Thanksgiving we did our traditional Farm day down at my grandparents farm. It was another nice day where we all enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmellows. Lil man had fun running around, seeing the river and helping split wood. Lil guy spent the day asleep in the truck but he is the youngest visitor to the farm.
The rest of the weekend was fun with time to relax and be with the family. I can't beleive that Christmas will be here so soon. We haven't put up our tree yet but will probably try and do that this weekend.
Here are some pics of the weekend.

Baby Shower
Last Sunday a couple of my great friends including my sister in law hosted a shower for the lil guy and me. It was a great afternoon of friends and family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We were showered with wonderful gifts. Now our lil guy has plenty of clothes to pick from. Since our boys were born in opposite seasons we don't have baby clothes to share. So, unfortunately our lil guy only had a few outfits to choose from for the first few weeks of his life. Now he has plenty to choose from thanks to our friends and family. We also received some much needed diapers and wipes. Those always come in handy. Here are some pics from the wonderful afternoon.

Not 1, Not 2, But 4 times!!!
Well our lil guy has accomplished another milestone. One that leaves my hubby and I wondering what we are in store for with this lil guy. Last night I put lil guy on his tummy for tummy time. He wasn't very happy with me and decided to get very mad screaming at me. The next thing I knew he had rolled over from his tummy to his back. I told my hubby and of course he didn't believe me so I did it again. Didn't take very long and sure enough he rolled over again. So, then my hubby decided we had to get this on camera because no one would believe our 3 week old was rolling over from his tummy to his back. So we put him down again and not too much later he was on his back again. A while later we were in our bedroom and we put him on his tummy and big sis recorded this video
So obviously he isn't a big fan of tummy time or at least not last night. Hope everyone has a good week!

Date Night
Last night my hubby and I got to go out on a date. This is the first time I have left the lil guy for more than an hour and he has had to take a bottle. My in laws had called my hubby on Wed and asked if we wanted to go out they would come over and watch the kiddos. Of course we were up for that :) So my in laws came over and spoiled the grandkids while my hubby and I went out. My hubby surprised me with taking me to Red Rock Canyon Grill which I have never been to. It was very yummy. We had a very yummy Spinach Artichoke Dip and then I had Salmon with Mashed Potatoes. It was very good! After dinner we went to Best Buy and looked at the Macbook. We are thinking that we are going to get one.
It was a great night and the kids of course had a fun time too. The lil guy did great taking a bottle for my MIL which was good to hear since in a few weeks I will be going back to work and he will be w/my mom. I guess close to when we were going to be getting back the lil guy started getting fussy. Our lil man thought he was missing us so he went over to him and told him it was ok we would be back soon. Lil man is such a good brother always there to comfort his lil brother, at least at this point in time ;)
Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving next week!

A mini milestone for lil guy
His umbilical cord fell off!! Yay!!! Now this to me is a major milestone. I cannot stand the sight of the stub of the umbilical cord. I just hate having to mess with cleaning it and even though the dr says it doesn't hurt him, lil guy didn't like me messing with it. So now my lil guy has a normal belly button and no more stub we have to worry about :)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Update Time
We finally finished our last bilirubin test for our lil guy. The poor guy had to have one of his feet stuck on Fri, Sat, Mon and Wed. I felt so bad for him each time they had to get the tube of blood. Although the tube wasn't that big I felt like it was the size of a 8oz glass. Lil guy did great and even though he screamed ( who wouldn't) he got the test done quickly each time, faster than the time in the hospital. Each time the count was going down but finally on Wed the Dr said it was low enough that we didn't have to come back. It's a good thing that he won't remember this and the next time we go to the Dr's will be for his 2 month appt.
Everyone is doing well adjusting to having lil guy in the house. Lil man is adjusting pretty well to having to share Mommy with lil guy. Lil man really wants me to hold him when I am feeding lil guy so I have to tell him that I can't hold him but he can come sit next to me. He is getting used to it. He is a huge helper with getting stuff for me. Lil guy's stuff is in colored drawers which makes it very easy for him. I can ask him to get me a burper out of the yellow drawer and he knows exactly what to get.
I am adjusting pretty well to less sleep than I would like. I can't complain lil guy is pretty good sleeping at night. My Dr told me that the caloric intake is the important thing with babies and if you feed them enough during the day they won't wake up as much at night. It seems to be working pretty well so far. Last night was a rough night. I was tired and lil guy didn't want to sleep. When I finally got him to sleep and put him in his cradle he didn't want to stay asleep. Luckily my wonderful hubby helped out and got him to sleep.
As for adjusting to less sleep and having 2 lil ones that is about all we are up to. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Announcing.....
Landon Craig was born on Thursday and weighed 8lbs 8oz, 20.5" long. Just 2 oz smaller than his big brother. Thank goodness my Dr induced me a week early. He would have been a very big boy if he was in there much longer. We are all doing well and were able to come home on Saturday. His sisters and brother are very proud of their new sibling. It is crazy how much he looks like his big brother.
Thank you for all the prayers! My delivery went very well and fast. It was a great surprise to be able to push him out in only 10 minutes compared to his big brother who took close to 3 hours.
It is fun having a baby in the home again. Watching lil man with him is just adorable. I can't wait to see the brothers grow up together. More updates to come....

It's Broken....
"It's broken, I don't want to eat it." This is lil man's new phrase. For some reason if a chip, cracker or cookie is broken he can't eat it. So he loves to share his broken food. He told me that he doesn't like broken food it doesn't taste good. I'm not sure where he got this but it is pretty funny to me. So, if you don't want to share your food w/my lil man just break your chips or cookies and he won't want them. He is more than happy to share with you his broken food too.

Moving??
If you are planning on moving and need an excellent realtor on your side look no further. The agency that my hubby works for just got their website up and running Graham Realtors. You should definitely check it out if you are wanting to move or have questions about the tax credit or anything at all about selling/buying. Or if you are like me and just like to look at houses on the market you can check the listings too. It's great too because you don't have to fill out all your information to see what's on the market. I hate websites that make you give them your name and number to view the listings. If I want their help I will ask for it :) Sorry I will step off my soap box now. Anyways, if you have a minute you should check it out!
Hope everyone is having a great day!!

State Tennis
Well another tennis season has come and gone. This weekend our oldest played in the state tournament. Her school took 6 players and 5 of those placed. There was one singles player who placed 11th, our daughter's doubles team took 12th and the other doubles team took 9th. The team took 3rd overall which was a huge surprise for everyone. Our oldest last year went to the State tournament for singles. This was her first year playing doubles mainly. Her and her partner were great and really played well with each other. It has been fun watching her improve over the years in tennis. She has one more season of high school play next year and we look forward to seeing what she brings to the court. On a side note *** For our anniversary my hubby got me Photoshop Elements. I have loved playing with it. One thing that is a lot of fun on top of the editing is you can make collages. I have been going collage crazy but it's fun. Hope you enjoy! ***

Tasty Recipe
Well for us we had a nice cold snap. Of course if you are used to where we live that happens. One day it is 70 the next day it is 40 degrees. So, today we had a nice cold day. Luckily I only had to get out to get groceries because my wonderful hubby took our youngest daughter to her game to cheer. He was wonderful to sit out in the cold for 2 hrs for me. He is the BEST! Since he had done that for me I felt the right thing to do was make his favorite soup request. So, we enjoyed Chicken and Wild Rice Soup for dinner. A yummy soup for a cold night. It is very easy and very yummy. It's a family favorite except for my youngest daughter, but my lil man likes it. Here is the recipe:
Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
4 Chicken Breasts or 4-5 Chicken Tenders
4-5 Chicken Bullion cubes
2 Family Size Cream of Chicken Soup
2 Boxes of Uncle Ben's Wild Rice Original
Water (according to bullion cubes)
Boil Chicken in bullion cubes and water about an hour or in crock pot all day on low. May need to add water as needed. Cook rice according to box direction. After chicken is cooked, shred. Add soup to water and mix together. Continue by adding rice and chicken. Stir well. Reduce heat and simmer until hot. Add salt and pepper to taste. May need to add more water to get consistency you want.
Enjoy!!
We also enjoy Italian bread with the soup. I personally like to dip it in the soup. So, if you have a cold night try this soup out!

36 wks and counting
I can't believe I am 36 wks! Baby Lo is going to be making an appearance before we know it. I went to my checkup and Dr said everything was right on schedule. She said she will probably induce me around 39 wks. I got to hear Baby Lo's heartbeat and it was doing great too. I did find out I am still a little bit anemic so I have to take 2 iron pills a day instead of just 1. That's no big deal to me though.
It is hard for me to think that in about 3 wks or so this lil one is going to be here. I feel like I am unprepared since we don't know boy or girl. I am sure it will all work out, it's just crazy to think about.
We were supposed to be going to Regionals for Tennis this weekend but it was postponed until Monday because of weather. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it since I have to work so I am praying extra hard they make it to State so I can see her play again.
Hope everyone is having a great week more pictures hopefully soon!

Football Lover
I don't know what we will do when Football season is over. Hopefully he will like basketball again like he did last year. If not maybe we need to start recording some football games for him to watch later in the year :)

4 years and loving it!
Well, yesterday my hubby and I celebrated 4 years of marriage. I can't believe that it has already been 4 years. We have been through a lot of changes and trials but I wouldn't want to go through it with anyone else. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful hubby and father of my children.
Tonight he surprised me with dinner at PF Chang's! This entire pregnancy I have been craving Chinese food. We don't make it out to PF Chang's often so it was definitely a treat. We enjoyed Moo Goo Gai Pan, Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef and The Great Wall of Chocolate Cake. It was very yummy! Thanks to my wonderful hubby for a great night!
I am looking forward to many more years together and the adventures that come our way!

Race for the Cure 2009
For the second year in a row my 2 youngest kids and myself joined my mom in the Mile Walk for Fun for Race for the Cure. This year my sister also decided to join us. It was a fun morning and beautiful weather to be outside. Last year my youngest daughter had mentioned wanting to try the untimed 5k. Since I am due in 5 wks I decided to pass on it. They decided maybe we will try it next year. It is an awesome way to raise money for research for breast cancer. They have tons of information booths and free stuff that they give away. Not only do they have stuff for adults but kids too. There was a clown who made balloon animals, painted faces, there was music and other kids games. We all enjoyed it once again and were glad that my sis could join us this year. Here are a couple of pictures.
Here we all are before the mile walk started.

Did you ever have one?
I don't remember having one or any stories of me having one but my son has one, actually two. Imaginary friends. I guess it means he has a good imagination. His "guys" are actually based on real people too. My cousins are in 5th and 9th grade and lil man loves to play with them. We hadn't been able to see them in a couple of weeks and I think he was starting to miss them. So, one night we were sitting down to eat and he said that the "guys" were coming to dinner. I played along and said "ok". My hubby and oldest daughter weren't home so their chairs were taken by the "guys". I sat down to eat when lil man informed me that the guys needed their plates. Luckily they didn't need any food :) Lil man likes to play football with them and they like to come with us different places too. Yesterday they wanted to come to church w/us so of course we can't refuse a friend coming with us to church. We have had one accident where my hubby stepped on one of the "guys", but Lil man said he was ok. I'm glad he wasn't hurt we wouldn't want to have to take him to the dr :) It is definitely funny to hear lil man talking with the "guys". This morning one of them wanted to come w/us to work. As we were pulling out the other "guy" came running out but got stuck in the garage. I told Lil man that he wanted to stay home today, haha. The really funny thing is so far he only plays w/the guys at home and after a lil bit in the car he forgets about them. I know that there are kids who have had or have imaginary friends but this is our 1st experience with them. I'll keep you posted on any more exciting times w/the "guys". If you have any stories please share :)

32 wks and counting
I can't believe I am already at 32 weeks. I had a check up on Wednesday and everything is looking good. Baby Lo's hb was 140 and sounded great. My Dr walked in and just laughed at me, she said, "You are all baby." She said that the baby's head is down and I am doing good. She is thinking she will probably induce me during my 39th week if everything continues to go as it is right now. My next appt I am going to meet the other dr in the practice just in case my dr can't deliver. Although my dr will be highly disappointed if she doesn't deliver this baby. She has delivered not only our youngest daughter, lil man but also all 4 of our nephews. She is part of our family and has been a part of a very special part for the last 11 years. It's pretty neat that she has delivered so many babies in our family. Not only has she delivered our families babies but some of my friend's babies have been delivered by her as well. Here are some pictures from 32 wks.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Cheer Time
Well our youngest daughter has decided to try something new this year, Cheerleading. She decided that she wanted to take a break from dance and try out cheerleading. They had their 1st scrimmage a couple weeks ago and has her 1st game this coming week. So, far she enjoys it. She has practice a couple of times a week and has really enjoyed learning new cheers and hanging out w/her friends. Lil man enjoys cheerleading since he gets to watch football. He LOVES football right now. Watching it and playing it w/Daddy and anyone who will play w/him is his favorite thing right now. This fall should be fun going to games and watching our cheerleader and enjoying the game too. Here are some pics from her scrimmage.

Adventures in Potty Training
Yes it's that time around our house, the fun potty training time. Lil man hadn't really shown any interest in going potty on the big boy potty so we hadn't pushed it. Then about a week and a half ago he wanted to sit on the potty and he went! So, of course mom gets her hopes up that yay he is ready, because it would be so great to not have to buy 2 sets of diapers once Lo gets here. Well, then the next 2 days he wants nothing to do w/going potty. Now our Dr had warned us that boys didn't train as early as girls and usually it was around 3 when they would start. So, with all that information and the way lil man had been I figured it wasn't going to happen any time soon.
Well on Friday my mom, who watches him during the day, tried a new trick that one of her friends had told her had worked for her boys. Throw a couple cheerios in the potty and have them shoot them. Well, I should have known if you make it a sport my son will be all over it. On Friday he went 7 times!! Even stayed dry when we went to the football game. So far he is doing great. He doesn't have the whole telling us before he goes but if we watch the clock and him we know when to take him. I'm not saying he is trained and know that he could back track but progress is encouraging to me!
So, if you have boys that need to be trained try the old trick of shooting cheerios in the potty, it might just work for your guy too!
Stinky Sand
I think it is so cute when kids find something funny on their own. The other night during worship service we were singing the song My Faith is Built on Nothing Less. In the chorus of this song the words say "On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand." Well, our lil man thought that we were all singing "stinky sand" instead of sinking sand. He started laughing and saying "stinky sand". I know there have been lyrics before that sound like something they aren't and when you find out the lyrics you think, oh that's what they were singing. What songs have you found to have lyrics that sound like one thing but are really another?
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Music Lover
Our lil man is a music lover and his favorites have changed over the 2 yrs of his life. When he was a baby he used to love Zydeco music. It's Cajun music and he would lay on the bed and when he heard the music start moving his legs and arms just as fast as he could. Then he went through the stages of Veggie Tales sing alongs, church songs, and he still likes pretty much any music. He has though introduced me to someone I hadn't heard of ever..... Nathan Pacheco. If you click on the link you can see a You Tube video. He is a singer who sings Italian along with Yanni playing the piano.
He will seriously sit down and watch Nathan sing, and I mean intently watch it. As my hubby says thanks to my mom we have a Yanni cd w/Nathan on it in our truck. My mom had gone to the Yanni Voices concert and bought a cd that came with a dvd. One day while she was watching lil man she decided to put it in and see what it was about. Lil man was over playing with his toys not minding her so she thought he wouldn't care. As soon as Nathan began singing he stopped what he was doing and went over to watch the dvd. Since then he has been a huge Nathan fan. He likes the other singers on the cd but not as well as he likes "Nathan by his self".
It definitely isn't a taste of music I thought my 2 yr old would love but he does. If you haven't already check out Nathan you might surprise yourself and like it too :)

Why?.....Why?.....Why?
"Lil man, it's time to eat." "Why?" "Lil man it's time to change your diaper." "Why?" "Lil man come here." "Why?" As you can tell Lil man has learned the word why and uses it all the time! Every thing you say to him he comes back with "Why?" I know that most kids go through this stage but sometimes I don't know if I can make it another minute of "why?" I find myself using the famous words "because I said so" more and more.
Kids are definitely cute as they are learning to talk and communicate with everyone. He has really started putting words together and making sentences. In fact the other Sunday morning he looked at the clock, turned to his teachers and said "It's almost time for my Mommy to come pick me up." The teachers had a good laugh after that. I so enjoy watching him figure out things. It amazes me how much of a sponge lil kids are.
So, enjoy them while they are little because before you know it they will be in high school, trust me, it goes too fast.

First Day of School
Well, it's that time of the year again. On Monday we sent our daughters off to school once again. Our youngest daughter is in the 6th grade and our oldest is a Junior. Where does the time go? Our girls were definitely ready to get back to school for the social aspect but I am not too sure about the actual school work. This fall is going to be busy w/Cheerleading for our youngest daughter and Tennis with our oldest. Unless Baby Lo makes an early appearance we should finish up the seasons before he/she gets here. Here are some pics from the 1st day.

Our oldest being a good sport and letting me take a pic.

Summer Block Party
Well I can't believe summer is winding down already. The kids will be back in school before we know it. Last night our block had a block party. I wasn't able to go because I had my Bible study but my hubby took our middle daughter and son down for some ice cream and fun. The kids had a lot of fun. Lil man met some new friends and even though our daughter wasn't thrilled about going she made the best of it. There was ice cream with M & M's and chocolate chips so she was happy. A fire truck and police car stopped by for the fun so lil man thought that was very neat. My hubby even did good and took some pics.

Family Vacation
Well our family has taken a long overdue family vacation this last weekend. We had not taken a family vacation since before lil man was born. Needless to say we needed a getaway. Since we are expecting Lo in November I am saving up all my vacation time so we just did a weekend trip. It was a lot of fun and did a bunch of different things. Here are some pictures of the trip.
We drove by the Speedway and noticed cars going into the tunnel for the infield. So, of course my hubby decided to find out what was going on. We found out there was a driving school going on and if we signed a waiver we could go in and see what was going on. Since one of lil man's favorite movies is Cars, he was very excited. I think he would've stayed there all day. There was a red car so of course that was Lightning.
That night we went to Legends an outdoor mall. In the parking lot it had a Titanic exhibit. It was very neat to go through and see some things from the ship. They also gave everyone a boarding pass of a real passenger and at the end you could see if you lived or died. Our middle child was sad because lil man and herself didn't make it, while big sis and I lived.

On Sunday we went to Crown Center for lunch at Fritz's which is where your food is brought to you by train. The kids thought that was pretty cool.

At the Crown Center there was an exhibit of Lego sculptures. They were amazing. Everything from people, to Monopoly game, to huge sunflowers. It was crazy that they were made all from Legos. Very impressive.
Here are the kids on the way out of town.
