Starting with most recent...

I made myself this bag in honor of a weekend getaway to Anchorage with my girlfriends!  My favorite feature is the big chunky button.  (Free pattern found here!  She has an awesome quilt-a-long going on right now as well as other cool patterns available at her Etsy shop.  I purchased the pattern for the quilt I'll be making for Kyle from her.  It's an awesome document - approx. 33 pages of helpful tips and directions; and it's emailed so it's super fast!  Thanks for asking about a pattern Tiff - I definitely want to give this gal credit, she's awesome!)

This quilt is particularly close to my heart.  My grandma died when I was a senior in high school - after the funeral we helped my grandpa box up most of her things.  She had a few small boxes of quilting projects she had started which my mom brought home with her (thinking that someday she might have time to make something out of them).  Included were several nine patch blocks out of this pink and brown.  I had read about the disappearing nine patch quilt and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a shot.  I love how it turned out; I added the brown and white swirl and the light pink border to modernize it a bit.  I'm not quite done with binding as I sew those by hand and it takes a bit of time.  I'm using a brown and white gingham that was also my grandma's.  I also really love how the quilting turned out on this one.  Kali wanted flowers; I'm always nervous when I first start, but two or three rows down I get into a grove.  She's very excited for me to finish!

Dinosaur Uproar!  I found this free pattern here, and it screamed Corey.  I was a bit intimidated  by the crooked blocks at first, but turns out not so hard at all!  I backed this in Moda's super soft flannel!  This one took awhile to get together - I had to order the fabrics online so it took a few months to find everything I needed.  I don't usually choose to make projects exactly like a pattern for this reason (and because the creating / choosing fabrics is my favorite part), but this one was too cute!

After Kali saw Angie's purse she had to have one.  I made this for her but without the fusible fleece lining so it's quite floppy.  She loves it though and uses it to take her things to church.

First attempt at a bag.  For my sister's birthday in January.  I was able to finish in time for her birthday dinner thanks to my good friend Angie's patience!  Using

I made this for my mom for her birthday back in December.  I LOVE this pattern - it uses the Moda jelly rolls which make it super quick, this fabric is Moda's Cotton Blossoms, one of my faves.  This was also the first time I quilted flowers.

Corey's Christmas quilt.  Again using Moda's super soft flannel - I love that stuff!  This started as a layer cake so again, super easy!!!  I quilted this one with stars.

My very first quilted quilt (I've made several rag quilts)!  Using the Moda jelly roll in Christmas flannel for Kali.  This quilt is all it took - I was hooked!!!  This was also my first experience quilting on my friend Angie's mid-arm machine.  I tried just a swirl doodling type design and it turned out really cute.  She is so awesome to teach me how and let me use her machine!!!  We have so much fun!

Projects in progress...
-Black & White Quilt
-Kyle's (you may have wondered why I wasn't making anything for my baby - it's just that baby's have SO many blankets and quilts that he hasn't really needed anything).
-Denim picnic blanket (I've been saving jeans for years for this quilt - it's HUGE)
-A mostly white quilt - more explanation later (this is my current obsession, I'm designing the pattern myself and I'm loving the way it's turning out!).
-And a few other non-quilt sewing projects, as well as a few digital scrap booking/photo album projects.
