Mommy Fail.

So I figured I better write down our new little memory that makes us giggle. My mommy fail.

Every morning when Jacob wakes up he sqauks and squeals and says momma and dadda over and over again until we come and open his door. Once he sees the door opening the giggling and jumping begin. Usually the squaking begins at 7 or 730. So when I rolled over in bed today and saw it was 8am and could hear a pin drop our house was so quiet, I thought Jacob must still be asleep...that's AWSOME!

But I decided to peek in and make sure that was the case...As I opened the door Jacob was standing in his crib as silent as a mouse with a HUGE grin on his face looking down.  As I stepped in the room I realized immediately something was horribly wrong.

Our pant-less baby had widdled off his diaper in the early hours of the morning and made some little chocolate nuggets that were wonderfully scattered about the room.

They weren't smeared at all, just scattered about. (How did this happen I will never know) One on the mattress, one on the floor, one on the rug.

We have no idea how long he had been awake. How long he went without a diaper. How did he get his lil nuggets all over the room without smearing them and getting evidence on his hands. (which were spotless)

Well lesson learned. Never put Jacob to bed without pants on. He will take his diaper off and scatter his room with JOYful nuggets.  And be very happy and sneaky about it.

It's a Sunday evening. Dave is in the kitchen relaxing while he makes up a new soup recipe and our little Jacob is upstairs asleep WITH PANTS ON!
