Hello Again!

Hello all,
This past week Gabe had his second speech class. He seems to like it and since Jason took the day off work for Gabe's pre-school evaluation I was able to stay with Gabe at speech. It is great to see him get excited about things, boy things like cars, truck, boats, TRACTORS and the list goes on. He is also starting to recognize colors. If I ask him to say something he will attempts to say it! Yeah, we are making progress!! However, his Pre-school eval was more or less paperwork where we talked about the goals we were setting for Gabe. Their wording should have been different, but oh well. So, when the REAL eval takes place Jason will have another day off. It was great being able to spend the day with him and the kids during the week. The kids were great with the LONG day! We are really blessed to have such fun children! Boy, do we love them! Other than that, not too much to report. Oh, yea all of you with children I have some very, very cute jewelry for girls. Please let me know if you are interested. And just I am able to sell by the piece!!! Thank you all for your support and letting me share my business with you!!
Lots of love to all,

No more need for Mommy

This is a sad day, but a happy day. The day has come. Gabe has had NO binks for 3 weeks now. At first he was having a hard time, but then we let him go to bed with one of his trucks. That worked for us and now he is binksless and toyless at night! Since I was on a roll I figured Lauren was next. She is 15 months old and only askes me for "boobie juice" sometimes. Last Thursday when Jason was home sick she did not ask for it once. Naptime nothing, bedtime nothing, auh ha...... the time has come. So, since last Thursday Lauren has had no boobie juice. I was ready for it to be over and now that it is I don't feel as thought I have a need. Well, I know that I am still needed, but it feels like something is missing. So, next time you all see the kids they are BIG with NO BINKS and NO BOOBIE JUICE! Love to all of you!

Wow, How Time Flies!!

I must start by saying I am sorry to all of you. I did not realize that my last entry was in NOVEMBER!

For Christmas the kids and I went to California. We have a great time, but we really missed Jason being there with us. Christmas was just not the same without him. Since then, we have just been on the same routine with Gabe and his pre-school. In July he graduates from the Holly Ridge Center and goes into the School District. So, we are waiting to have evaluations done to see if he still qualifies for "Special Ed" Pre-school. The phrase "Special Ed" freaked us out a little as we know that Gabe is not and that some of his class will be. But, in talking to more people we found that there are kids like Gabe who have delays in one area or another. Sometime in March will be his evaluation. Miss Lauren is getting so big. when the two of them talk their jabber to each other it is great! Way too funny! She still gives Gabe a run for his money! In Janurary I started being a Independent Jewrely Consultant with Cookie lee. It is nice to do something besides just being "MOM". I have had once Open house so far that went fairly well considering I don't know that many people. Trying to go out and talk to people is harder than I expected. I met a new friend named Misty. She has 3 boys and her youngest is 6 weeks old. She is going to host a party for me at her house in March. I am really excited and hope it goes well! If any of you are interested we do do Home, office, and Catalog shows! I AM YOUR WOMAN! Any help would be greatly appreciated while I jump start my business. You can also view the catalog at www.cookielee.com
Thanks all for everything and we miss you very much!

Just a little fun!

These two kids are a kick! Miss Lauren loves the laundry basket and Mr Gabe is keen on the computer or drawing. Here are some pics to enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!
This year was a little strange. Usually on the holidays we are surrounded by family, but this year was different. We the four of us had a great day spending quality time together. I was just sitting around doing much of nothing, but then it occurred to me wait..... I have to make sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pies. I would usually help my mom, but with it just being us I have to do preparations and cook. Wow, I did not realize how long the process usually takes! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. Jason BBQ ed his 1st turkey it was delicious! Thanks Dad for the web site! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Gangsta Gabe, What's up yo!

Hello again,
All is well in the McMicken household. Gabe is doing great at school and he is starting to use his words! Yeah, I never thought that day would come. But, I know that is going to bite me in the biscuits! Mr. Man is starting to wear hats for a short. Thus the reason for this great picture! Lauren is also great! She is a funny bundle of joy. But, the two kids together are hysterical.

Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat! Gabe and Lauren went on the first trick or treating adventure. We have 2 1/2 streets in our neighborhood and hit up every house with their lights on. Mr. Gabe was a fire man and we'd ask him what a fire truck says and he goes who-who. And Ms. Lauren was a dragon. I know it's not the most girly costume in the world, but she runs around the house growling....augh(make you voice sound raspy and that is it). I guess you will have to hear it for your self.
When we got home from pre-school Gabe and Lauren took naps and I carved pumpkins, make pumpkin seeds and baked penut butter cookies. Halloween was a great day!
Love,
Cara, Jason, Gabe & Lauren
