Rhett came home the other day with this cool Mustang on his cheek.  Grandma Letha painted it on his face at school.  She helps out at the school a lot with these kids.

We've got talent

Monday the boys had their talent show at school.  Rhett decided to play the piano and played
Cannon D.  He did a great job.  I didn't get a very good picture though.
Dustin's class had been practicing juggling and a few things they did.  They put on quite the show.  They opened the curtains, music was playing and they were all juggling these scarfs.
They moved on to blowing them.
Then the chineese yo yo and the spinning plate.  They did really good.  Dustin also played with the 6th grade orschestra in the talent show.

Vice President

This year Bridget and Dustin both decided to run for Vice President.  Here is Dustin giving his speech.
7th Grade - Dustin - Vice Pres., Mr. Maner and Noah - President

And Bridget is the 8th Grade Vice President
(this picture doesn't have anything to do with her running but it was a pic I had of her, I didn't get to go to any of her election stuff)
They are both very excited.  The 8th Grade President is Barr.  Bridget and Dustin are way excited because they will get to do lots together.  So watch out Mogollon Jr. High you are going to be ran by Barr, Bridget, Noah and Dustin!  It could be fun!

Little Red Hen

Yesterday Kaylee's Kindergarten class did their Little Red Hen play.  Kaylee really wanted to be the Little Red Hen because Tylinn was when she was in Kindergarten.  Kaylee worked so hard to learn things the best she could so Mrs. Connor would pick her to be the Little Red Hen.  Well the day of the play came and Kaylee was not feeling good.  She stuck through it.  She did a great job.  Pictures from the production:

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day as usual!  We enjoyed sacrament meeting and my cute hot pads from my kids in Primary.  We got home and finished up the dinner Bruce had started while we waited for him doing tithing.   The kids and Bruce got the kitchen cleaned up - dishwasher started and everything.  After a while I went into the kitchen and there was some bubbles and water that had leaked out the dishwasher.  I could tell somebody put the wrong soap in the dishwasher.  The dishwasher soap was gone under the sink so the boys put the only soap under there in the dishwasher.  Bruce got it cleaned up and things were great.  Bruce and I went to visit a lady I visit teach and I called them on our way home and told them we would be home in just a minute.  I asked Bridget what they were doing and she said it was a surprise.  I was excited thinking maybe they got the house cleaned up or something.  Well I walked in the door to find these wonderful children. The dishwasher had leaked some more soapy water so they took it on themselves to take advantage of the soapy water and start scrubbing the floor.

They did get it pretty clean but it was quite the mess.  Bruce and I just said we were going on our usual Sunday walk and headed back out the door.  When we got home they had it pretty well clean up.  While we were gone Bridget made yummy dessert for us.  I have great kids and am so thankful for them!

260

A few Satruday's ago I was able to go hiking with this great girls!  It was tons of fun!

We hiked the 260 trailhead.  I am blessed with great friends here that keep me going.

Hiking

Saturday afternoon Bruce and I hiked the 260 trail head.  It was a good hike.  We love hiking with our kids but we love hiking without our kids sometimes so we don't have to pack kids most of the way.

After our hike we went into Payson and went by George and Kerry's house.  It was SO good to see them.  They were our other set of parents when we lived in Payson.  We haven't seen them for quite a few years so it was a much needed visit.  We just wish we would have had our kids with us so they could have seen them.  Bridget, Dustin and Rhett still remember them.  Kaylee wasn't born when we lived in Payson and Tylinn was only 6 months when we left.

After our visit we went to Mackys to eat then to Scott and Tedi's house to visit.  After that we met Twila who was passing through at Plant Fair Nursery, got to visit with her and got some plants for our garden.  It was a fun day get away.... a much needed one.
Saturday morning was a good work morning.  I love when it warms up spending time outside working as a family and one of my favorites is the fresh cut grass.  Rhett seems to be our lawn mowing boy so far this year.  Here he is trying to ge the lawn mower up the hill (no it wasn't running).  Our lawn mower isn't self propelled so it is a workout with these hills.

Bruce is putting some sprinklers in this year.  He got one section done a couple of weeks ago.  Saturday he started on the next section.  I am amazed at the time it saves me from watering!

My sweetie!

Kaylee loves her mommy.  I wondered how she would do going to school because she is pretty attached.  She has done fine. Everyday while she rides the bus home she finds all the "treasures" on the bus she can and brings them home, usually adds tape to the project and makes something for me.  Since it has been warmer she has been picking flowers on the way home for me.  She is such a sweet girl!  I am going to miss the afternoons I have had with her next year when she starts 1st grade.

More kittens

Last Sunday after curch the kids were outside playing.  It was a beautiful day so they left the door open.  Well Cali decided to run in the house and have her kittens under Rhett Man's bed.  When we realized she was under there she had had 2.  We left her alone so she could finish and she had 2 more.  Thankfully as you can see there was plenty of stuff under the bed so nothing got on the carpet.  Just had to wash a bag and throw a couple things away.  Thanks Cali!

Arrow of light

Thursday night we had Rhett's Arrow of Light Ceremony along with 3 other boys and also the closing ceremony for cub scouts.  With Rhett turning 11 early August he will be 11 before scouts starts back up so he is finished with Cub Scouts.

It was a great night.  Third ward was kind enough to let us join with them because we only have 2 boys.
We had it out at Tenney Ranch with hotdogs and yummy stuff and smores.  The kids loved it and Rhett thought it was great!

Saturday after the Pinewood derby we took these great kids to the temple to do baptisms.  Bridget and Dustin have been wanting to do baptisms with these cousins.  Kim and Kay just turned 12 so it was the time to do it.

District Pinewood Derby

Saturday was the District Pinewood Derby in Snowflake. With Rhett's car taking 1st place here he wanted to take it there to see what it could do.  Here he is racing.....

 The happiest spectators ever

Well he ended up winning taking 1st place.  It was pretty exciting.  He was a happy boy with his big trophy.  With this being our last race and last year of this I decided it was a great time for this to happen.  If he had 1 more year he couldn't do better than this year so it ended on a good note.  Now he and Dustin both have trophies from the district race.  Dustin took 2nd a couple of years ago.
Taylor raced his car there too and it did good.  I don't know what place he ended up getting but he did good.  It was an exciting day!
Ash had 4 kittens last Thursday.  We haven't had baby kittens yet so this is fun.  The kids can't wait until they are old enough they can play with them.  Callie should be having some any day now too!
