Temple lights

Way fun.  We love seeing this every year.  Especially with cousins!

The reason for the season!

Black Friday

One thing I love about Thanksgiving time is Black Friday.  It isn't necessarily the shopping that I love but the being together with family and it's almost like playing a game - everybody figures out what they want where and who is going where and how we can team up.  This picture is of the beginning of the game.  Everybody at the Ridings with the ads figuring out what we were going to be shopping for.

Holli and I were together again this year.  The first place we wanted to go was Kohls - opened at midnight.  Most of the crew was going there.  My mom didn't know if she wanted to go or not so she went back to Grandma's.  At 11:45 we were getting ready to leave Holli's house and my phone rings, it is my mom wondering where we are.  I told her we were just leaving.  I asked where she was and she said she was in line at Kohls waiting for everybody.  We all got there and got in line with her.  Finally they opened the doors - let the shopping begin!  My mom got her wallet she wanted and got in line to be our line holder.  The rest of us shopped and took our turn standing with her.  It worked out great - we just shopped while the line moved and when we got to the cash register we were finished and could pay.  Here is some just about to pay at Kohls.

After Kohls my mom and Rachel went back to Grandma's to call it quits for the night.  Will went shopping with his sisters all night.  We went to Target after that.  It had been opened for a couple of hours so the mad rush was gone.  Got what we needed there then will, Kami and Kelli went to JCPenney's.  Holli and I stayed at Target for a while longer then went to Kmart to be there when it opened.  Got what we needed there then on to Big Lots when they opened.  After that headed to JCPenney's - I went in the fitting rooms and came out and Holli had sat down on the ground with her head against the wall and had fallen asleep.  We were dead by this time.  It was about 8:00 am and had shopped all night. We went back to Holli's and laid down for about 20 minutes before heading out again. This time I took Bridget to Fashion.com. We hadn't ever been there so she wanted to check it out.  She got a pair of pants she has been dreaming about so she was excited.
We ended with Sam's Club and back to Kohls so my mom could get something she wanted from before.  We were dead!  We for sure like it better when it starts at 5:00 am instead of shopping all night.  After all the shopping we took the kids to the temple to see the lights.  Got back to Holli's and about 9:45 that night got in the shower and finally crawled in bed - I slept very good that night!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving!  We went to David and Debbie's house in Snowflake.  It was just us them and Lonnie and family.
Tylinn and Cory

 Bridget, Devrie and baby Judy
Lonnie and Bruce deep in thought
 Tylinn, Zoe, and Kaylee
My boys still like to play with cars!
 Rhett, Dallon, and Dustin
 The YUMMY dinner with Delton.
We had great food with great company.  We took a turkey that we had raised and David cooked it.  It was delicious!  We are very thankful we have family we were able to spend the day with.  We headed home after dinner, got repacked and the kids and I went to Mesa.
Last Wednesday Cy came over and brought his horse.  Tylinn and Kaylee got to go for a ride on it.  Dustin and Rhett did earlier at Nelson's house while they were butchering turkeys.  After they rode Cy put on a show for us with his horse jumping over a board on top of two stumps.  Cy is a good kid!

Repelling

Friday for Scouts Dustin got to go Repelling.  They just went back here behind our house.  We went to watch for a little while, Bridget and Rhett got a turn.  The all LOVED it!

I found out Dustin is a little dare devil.  I didn't know he had this in him.  He was the first to do everything - even go down on his belly.  The Parhams and Sis. Despain are great!

Dustin hanging with Noah
Here he is going down one time.

Here is Bridget heading down.  Right as she went over the edge she slipped and it scared her pretty good.  She thought she was a gonner for a minute.  After she got situated again and headed down she thought it was great!

The spectators that weren't too happy because I wouldn't let them go to the top and come down.  I don't think Kaylee would have but I know Tylinn would have.  They are going again during Christmas break maybe Tylinn will have to have a turn then.
Sis Despain had lunch of Navajo tacos ready for the boys at the church afterwards.  They had a great time!
The other day Bruce took the boys and a turkey down to the Nelson's house to butcher. They had lots of fun doing it!

Piano

For 1 of Bridget's 10 hour projects for Personal Progress she is teaching Tylinn how to play the paino.  And of course she is THRILLED!

 Tonight was her first lesson!
Tonight Dustin came home from scouts looking like this:

He walked in the door and I was making fun of him, knowing it was fake.  "Oh nice Dustin!"  Well right after he walked in the door he took his bandage off and I could see there was gauze between the material and his head.  Then it stuck to his forehead.  He pulled off the gauze and I saw this.  I didn't know what to do but I was glad Bruce was home.

Well Dustin got a good laugh out of it and I realized Doran knows how to make a wound look real!

LeSueur Reunion

Saturday was our LeSueur Reunion that we have every other year.  This year Bill was in charge.  We had it at Red Mountain Park in the valley.  It's a good thing I love my family alot because I missed going to Time Out for Women for this.  Bridget was also SO sad to miss her volleyball tournament that wasn't supposed to be this weekend but they changed last minute.
Here is Denna, my mom and Bill leading us in the traditional John-a- Rabeck song.
Tylinn and Dad watching the program
Jill, Dallas, Bridget and Melissa playing volleyball.
Grandpa coming off the field from playing soccer.  I was a little too late to get him in the action.
Us with Grandma Nena.  She is an amazing lady and such a good example to me in many ways.

Halloween

Here are our Halloween kids.  Kaylee - Ariel

 Tylinn - a maid
 Rhett - a hobo
Dustin - I'm not sure - I don't know that I claim this kid!  Actually he was quite proud to be a Snowflake Cheerleader.  He wore his get up to school and called me about 8:30 wanting me to take him some clothes.  He didn't like wearing a skirt -mostly just because his legs on his desk chair was bothering him.

Our kids with 2 Weber kids.

Our kids with the Parry's.  We went trick or treating with the Parry's.  We went to the first house and Dustin said he felt too old and went home to change  - he was done.
It was a fun night.  The kids got candy - that made them happy.  After we got finished we went back to the Parry's for soup and rolls.  Yummy!

Saturday we carved our pumpkins.  Rhett was gone with Scott and Tedi's family to Holbrook for a football game.  He did his really fast after he got home.

The mutual had their Halloween Dance Saturday night.  Here Bridget and Jordan are with their costumes on ready to go.  Heber invited Payson Stake so my brother Scott and his family hung out here while the dance was going on.  Scott and Amanda came over for dinner and Twila was in town.
The kids dance the night away with the Wii - Just Dance. Maners came to visit and their kids danced
After the activity at the church Cy and Jessica came over and played the Wii too.
We had lots of visiting and fun.  It was a great night!
We love all our family and friends and everybody we get to spend time with.
