Volleyball and Wrestling

Last Tuesday the kids had their first volleyball game and wrestling matches.  Volleyball played Snowflake and we wrestled Snowflake and Showlow.

 This was Bridget's 1st real volleyball game ever and she loved it.  The girls need some experience but they will get it together.

 Dustin is loving wrestling this year because he has made it to 1st string.  He got pinned by the Showlow guy.

 I took enough pictures while he was wrestling Showlow so I went and sat in the stands and was watching him wrestle Snowflake.  I figured the only reason I would need a picture was if he pinned the guy but didn't figure that would happen because he is so inexperienced.  Well that is what I get for doubting my Dustin.  Before I knew it he was going to pin him.  I jumped off the bleachers to get a picture and I was too late!  He pinned him and was just getting up.

 The boys get to start to wrestle in 4th grade.  I think it's way too young.  I had a really hard time when it was just Dustin but I feel  lots better about Dustin being there with Rhett.

 I don't think Rhett is loving wrestling too much.  Dustin told him to hang in there it gets better.  He like the practicing and things but not the acutal matches.

13 years ago......

.....an angel came to our family!  Bridget had a very happy 13th birthday on Friday.  It's crazy she is an official teenager - it's a good thing she is such a good girl to make it easy on us our first go round.

Here she is opening a DVD from G & G Flake.

Then came her backpack, v-ball socks, and knee pads.

 She had some friends over to eat lunch with her. 

 Bruce and I needed to go to Showlow to the bank that night so she decided she wanted to eat at Licano's .  She thought that was delicious - Bruce and I did too!  We did a little shopping and headed home.

She didn't get to bed without her birthday spankin's from her dad.  He never seems to forget about those.

 She wanted her graham cracker dessert for her birthday cake but it was too late and we were all too full to have it that night.  So Saturday afternoon she got to blow out her candles.

I had to throw this one in here because I LOVE to hear her play the piano.  I love to hear all the kids play but she is getting quite good and I love it!

We love Bridget and I am so honored to be her mom.  I thankful she was sent to our family to keep us on track because that she does.  She is such a good girl and a friend to all!

Court of Honor

Dustin is LOVING 11 year old scouts.  This is his group that he does everything with.  Doran is amazing!!

 It is the first court of honor he has had.  Doran is booking it with these boys. They love her and she loves them so it works out great!  Last night Dustin got 9 merit badges and 3 rank advancements.

Wood Cutting

Saturday was one of many wood cutting trips.  Bruce and I got up early and went out with the Maners and got a load.  We found some good wood fast and got loaded up pretty quick.  We headed home to unload and get the kids and headed back out.  Scott and Debbie were out there with their families, along with Lonnie.  We found them and traded a couple of kids and went off to load up again.

Hopefully we only have a few more loads for this year.  Bruce loves it!

Makeovers

These little girls love Bridget doing make overs on them.  It's Fall Break - of course we have to have make overs!

Picnic at Capps

With Fall Break right now we are trying to find a few free but fun things to do.  Friday we went to Capps for a picnic and to let the little girls play on all the cool new toys there.  The kids took their rip sticks, scooters and bikes there.  Bruce met us there for lunch.

 It was a fun afternoon but it got really hot out in the sun with no shade.  Bridget made the comment that it's crazy there were snowflakes coming down a week ago!!  Crazy weather!

We have the best kids in our neighborhood.  Yesterday Jennifer, Jessica and Ana were being goofy and taking pictures.  They decided to let Tylinn on some of the fun.

Pumpkin Patch

Tuesday Kaylee's class went to the pumpkin patch for a field trip.  Here is our little group going through the corn maze.  Kaylee, Abbie, and Cassie

 After the pumpkin patch they went to Pioneer park for lunch and playing.  Kaylee had the time of her life.  I'm glad I was able to go with her.  She is a fun little girl!
