Meet Sammy

When we were at the Flake Reunion - the rodeo a couple next to us hit us up to take this cute puppy. I had no intention in getting it until she said it had an over bite and she couldn't sell it. Bruce wasn't with us but I told her we would go ahead and take it. We couldn't decide on a name for a few days but finally came up with Sammy and it fits him perfect.

He is tons of fun and we all love him to pieces.

Working Boys

Our neighbor Bro. Crandell has had a great job for the two boys along with a few other boys in the neighborhood this summer. He has hired them to help around their yard and found a little work for them other places. It has been a great way for them to learn to work hard and earn a little money this summer.
Here they are ready to leave for the morning:

Running down to the Crandell's house.

Notice it's still dark outside - he has been starting them at 5:00 am! We are grateful for great neighbors and the great place we live.

Celebration 2011

The Flake Reunion happened again this year! Here are Tylinn and Kaylee getting ready for their race. This is why Flakes are so speedy - they get years of practice!!! (JK!)

It's Rhett's turn to get "rescued" - Will trying to get him on.

Bridget running after the calf to get the Ribon in the Ribbon Roping. Reed was a great roper and Will was a great mugger. Bruce had to work so he wasn't there. Bridget ended up taking 3rd place.

Tylinn got a ride on a little pony.

And Saturday morning the races at the church. Tylinn's race.

Camping

A couple of weeks ago we went camping. We went out where we went on the trek off the 504 road. Brooke was here from OR and her, Megan and Jordan went out there with us on Thursday. Friday Amanda and her twins and David and Debbie and their family came out there for that night.
Tylinn, Megan and Kaylee enjoying their tin foil dinners.

For some crazy reason we took our kittens out there with us. They loved it and so did the kids. Everybody loves sleeping in a sleeping bag with a kitten don't they??

Brother and sister

It was a fun trip. We hope we get to go one more time this summer.

Baptisms

The week after our sisters party we (Kelli, LeAnne and I) took these cute cousins to the temple to do baptisms for the dead.

It was great with the chapel session before. Us older girls got to do them too! This is going to have to be a tradition when the Naillons come.

Sisters are the best! (and moms too!)

Last weekend we had our Annual Sister's Party. This year we had it in Payson.
Some of the highlights were:
* Hiking
* Resting

* Eating

* Getting our nails done

* Playing (Kelli is curling my hair)

* Laughing

* Playing games

* Shopping

* Sleeping

It was tons of fun - can't wait until next year!!

14 Years

The Saturday of all the 4th partying was our 14th anniversary. We didn't do anything in the way of celebrating for us except take a picture but we had a very enjoyable time with family.

Thanks Bruce for the past 14 years and eternity to go!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July celebration but missed the fireworks GREATLY!! We had a bunch of people that were planning on coming for dinner and to watch the fireworks. Even though the fireworks got canceled we still had the 80 people for dinner. It was great - we even managed 80 people with 1 toilet.

This was a fun surprise of the night. Scott, Amanda and their family are moving to Heber. They told us a long time ago and brought a load of stuff here to put in Twila's garage Memorial Day weekend. We have been looking for houses and things for them. Well slowly the family found out but Scott wanted to keep it a secret from Mom and Dad and surpsise them. Eight of Bruce's siblings were here...the only one missing was Roy. We invited his parents here for dinner with everybody else and Scott and his family showed up. It was a huge surprise for them. Then he sat them down and he told them they were moving here.

We are thrilled to death that they are moving here. The cousins are SO excited. Jordan is going to be in Bridget's grade. They twin girls in Dustin's and Megan in Tylinn's grade. Amanda and the kids are here for a month or so by themselves staying at Twila's. Scott went back up to SD to work for another month.

Five of my siblings were here so there were plenty Flake's here too. Uncle Darrel and some of his family was here too.

That night we had fun with Tug-of-war. Everybody loved this: young, old, small, big.

The McLaws crew (we didn't get a picture of the Flakes)

Holli and Shawn stayed here all weekend. The Naillons were here some of the time and Dallas and Jill stayed here one night. Most of the Flake crew came back on Monday the real 4th. Here are some doing Just Dance 2.

It was a great weekend with SO much family. We are so blessed to be surrounded by family in every direction! It was a great weekend but we sure missed the fireworks!!
