School's Out!

I was outside with the camera today after school.

I asked Kaylee how excited she was to start Kindergarten, this was her expression -

I asked other kids to show how they felt that school was out:

Tylinn came home crying I asked her what was wrong, she said she was going to miss Mrs. Honsinger. She was having a hard time.

Rhett said he was in the middle OK with whatever.

Dustin was OK with whatever too.

Bridget was "WOW, I can't believe school is out"

And of course she is happy with anything!!
Next week, once the trek is over, we can move on with the rest of the summer! So happy summer Ya'll!!

Preschool Graduation

Yesterday was Kaylee's preschool graduation. It was a great year with Marilyn King. None of our other kids have done preschool and I wasn't 100% sure how this would be. When we started I thought I was going to have to talk Kaylee into going some days - that only happened twice. I was wondering what I was going to do when Kaylee didn't want to go anymore but this never hap pend. Marilyn did a great job - Kaylee loved it.

The graduation was simple and cute. Marilyn talked a little about what they did during the year. The kids played Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star on their flutes. Kaylee learned a lot and is so excited for Kindergarten.

Alpaca Farm

Yesterday was Tylinn's flield trip to the Alapaca farm by Pinedale. I was lucky enough to go. Here is Mr. Dempsy explaining a little about the Alpaca's to us.

Tylinn loved these things. She wasn't one bit afraid of them.

I was glad I was able to spend this day with my favorite little 1st grader. After the farm we came back to the County Park here and ate lunch and played.

New Dog House??

The girls built a new dog house for the dogs. . . . . . . I just don't know how much the dogs liked it.

Saturday Breakfast

Saturday morning we got a bunch of camping stuff out trying to get things ready for the trek next week. We decided we would cook breakfast outside in the dutch ovens. We got a new one we wanted to "break in". It was a beautiful morning - I love the mornings and this one was extra pretty. It rained the night before so everything was wet. Here are pictures of the family enjoying their breakfast burittos and hot chocolate.

Pie Time

I am a little behind posting this but wanted it on here. Bruce made this delicious pie on Mother's Day. I guess he made the crust and used some bottled apple pie filling I made but it was beautiful and tasted as good as it looks.

Biggest one ever

Yucky! I HATE snakes, can't stand them. Anyway after I went running I was going to turn a sprinkler on before I came in the house and there it was.......a HUGE snake. I ran in the house as fast as I could and called Bruce and begged for him to come home and take care of it. Thankfully Rosa was there so he could leave. He called me and asked if I was watching it to see where it went. I wasn't watching it, I can't stand to look at them. He drove up and saw it. Anyway he chopped the head off even though he didn't want to. He doesn't like to kill snakes unless it is a rattle snake. He came in to wash and said it was the biggest one he has ever seen - over 5 FEET long. Yuck!! I have the chills just typing this.

Fun Date

Last night Bruce and I decided to put our bikes we got for Christmas to good use. We rode out by the County Park and went on a trail out there. It was lots of fun. I hope I get better at riding a bike. The trail was really narrow and just about every rock I would see and think I can't hit it I would hit. Bruce had fun laughing at me.

On our way home we stopped by Subway for a Sandwich. We took the long way home through Stone Bridge. It was lots of fun......hope we can do it lots this summer.

Thursday night was our Father and Son's Outing. We didn't have school Friday so they were able to do it Thursday night - it was at Tenney Ranch. After Dustin's game in Snowflake Bruce and Rhett were able to get out to it. Bruce had to leave early Friday morning to get to work but it was good they enjoyed it while they were out there.

Tylinn, Kaylee and Bridget all had games that night too here in town. It wasn't too of an exciting night by the time we got home. We did manage to grab a sandwich at Subway and head home to watch a movie.

Tonto Natural Bridge

Last Saturday we had a fun day at the Tonto Natural Bridge. We have been there a few times but not for quite a few years. The Parry's went with us and we had lots of fun. Here are pictures from the day.

These 4 were little troopers. We hiked their little legs off and they LOVED it! They didn't get to go with the dad and big kids on a hike because it was too hard. What did we end up doing later -that same hike with all the kids. Other people we saw along the trails I think thought we were crazy for taking so many little kids. But they did really good.

I think this picture of Rhett and Marissa is SO cute!

Had a picnic and played Red Rover~

Love this family!!

Brett is so stinkin cute!

Not sure who this guy is - just found him along the trail but he looked like a nice guy!

It was a fun day. We enjoyed hiking, food, good company and relaxing.
