We love Heber and love our neighborhood in Heber. Our neighbors are great. The kids love playing with the neighbor kids. Yesterday the kids were out playing and Bridget ran in to get the camera to take these pictures of Tylinn and Carter. I guess they were cold so Molly let them use her jacket! They are such cute kids and as you can tell, have lots of fun together!

Blue and Gold
I am a couple days late posting this but wanted to put a couple of pictures on here. Tuesday night we had the Blue and Gold Banquet for Scouts. Dustin moved up to the Bears in January and got a red bead with working toward is Bear Award. Dustin loves scouts and the activities they get to do for scouts.
The theme for the night was about the United States and they talked about vacations. They asked a few boys to bring stuff from a vacation they went on with their family to tell about. This is Dustin showing a picture and telling about our trip to San Diego last October. Bruce is out of town all week so Dustin and I went with out Bruce, he was missed.

Good One Shawna!!
This afternoon has been pretty crazy. I was gone trying to get things in order for scouts after school, Kaylee's been sick (fever, cough, yucky!), I went to a baptism at 5:00. Came home to a trashed house, late dinner, late homework because kids had been gone, Bruce came home to eat dinner and headed back to work .... one of those fun afternoons/evenings. I was trying to get the kitchen cleaned up and kids going on the rest of the house. The doorbell rings and who is it??? The Young Women!! They came to interview me and video tape about Motherhood. It should have been a clue when they couldn't hardly get in my front door that they needed to interview somebody else who was better qualified! It was lots of fun to have them here, brought back memories of when I was a YW leader and how much fun it can be.

Happy Valentine's Day
Today was a Happy Valentine's Day at our house. Yesterday was more the celebration for us. Yesterday the kids had all their class parties. Last night Bruce and I went to Showlow to enjoy Dinner, movie and a little coupon shopping. We watched New in Town. It was cute but kind of slow. It made us laugh. After that we went to Native New Yorker for dinner. We love their wings there. We ordered a bunch and brought some home for the kids. After dinner we hit Safeway for the sales then to Kmart for a few things.
Bridget has turned into quite the little babysitter. She does a really good job. Just recently we have left her babysitting with us leaving town. She has impressed us. Last night we came home to 5 kids asleep in their beds and a spotless house. She amazes me and is sure growing up.
Today we went to Joe City to visit Bruce's parents and have his mom help us with our taxes. She has worked for H&R Block for a long time. We have always just mailed her our info and she calls us with a number for our return. Because of this we know nothing about doing taxes!! It was fun for me to sit at the computer and have her show me what needed done. The kids had fun riding Grandpa's 4-wheelers, watching movies and playing outside. We enjoyed our visit with them. Bruce went for a ride with his dad in his electric car he made. We came home and got things ready for our traditional family candle light dinner. We threw some steaks on the grill and had some yummy rice, biscuits, and asparagus. Grandma and Grandpa Flake were going to go to dinner here in Heber so they stopped by to visit for a little while.
The kids love our Valentine's dinner. We started this tradition in Payson when we had a bunch of little kids and it was hard to get away. We have done it every year since and now the kids love it. We make sure now that Bruce and I get our time together but still do this with the kids.
With today being Valentine's Day I thought I would make a list of some of the things I love:
Bruce
Kids
Family
Friends
The Gospel
My Testimony
My home
My wood stove
The beautiful world
Chocolate
Good movies
Good movies
The outdoors
My Bed
Baths
Good Health
Our Chickens (cheesy I know but I do)
Holidays
Seasons
This list could go on and on, but these are a few. Hope your Valentine's Day 09 was a good one!

Yesterday was a snow day!! We had a very fun day. Normally on Snow days Bruce still has to go into work as usual. He took these couple of pictures and headed off to work for the day.
I told the kids we had to get a few things done then we would head out side. Just as I was getting ready to get in the shower Bruce came driving up. The mail truck from Globe to Showlow couldn't get through so the mail truck wouldn't be here for a while. He came to play.
He pulled the kids behind the mule (their favorite). Here is the train we had behind us, we had a few extras.

We went over to a hill and tubed/sledded down it, that was a blast! Here is Rhett and Paige going down.
Kaylee enjoying the snow, tastes yummy!

After we finished playing in the snow we ate lunch, sent Bruce off to work and headed to the Martineau's house for more fun. (I didn't take the camera) Brandon was off work so he pulled kids around their yard and over to the Slades. The kids had a blast while I was in the warm house talking to Tiff. Thanks for everything yesterday Martineau's! It was a great day.

Toothless!!!
It looks like the tooth fairy is coming to our house tonight, or I sure hope he/she comes. Rhett has had a loose tooth for quite a few days. He kept complaining about it when he would eat and of course we would just say for him to let Bruce pull it and he wouldn't. We knew it was close. Well finally this afternoon he lost it. I guess Dustin decided it sounded good to get a little money tonight too so he started wiggling. He got one of his teeth out too. It was ready to come out but not loose at all. He is such a funny kid!
Notice the paper in front of Dustin folded up, well it's a note for the tooth fairy. Rhett has one too. Our kids think they have to leave a note for Santa Clause, the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny and any other creature that seems to come to our house. A note would be fine it all the questions they have to answer that is another story. Bridget started this lovely trend!
