Sisters, Sisters

Every year my mom and sisters and I have a party, and that is exactly what it is! All of us have to be there for it. LeAnne, from OR even makes her way here for it. I loves spending time with my sisters. My most favorite is being with my hubby and kids but next is my sisters. There are 4 of us and we have fun. This year Holli was in charge and she planned it in Payson. We were there Thursday night and Friday night.

We went bowling and laughed and laughed at some dorky boys next to us that thought they were pretty cool!
LeAnne made all of us matching aprons. Of course we had to get a fashion shot with them on. Thanks LeAnne!
And of couse we ate. This is at Geraldos (sp?) in Payson.
And ate some more. Everybody took something to pitch in the first night for dinner.
One of the funniest things we always do is stay up late, laugh and eat junk. This time was no exception. We went swimming and soaked up the sun, did pedicures, went shopping and exercised. I was a great weekend with lots of R & R.
Well if all the sisters are together where are the kids??? Home with husbands and I have a great one. Bruce decided he would take the kids camping, what a dad to take 5 little kids camping by himself. They had a blast and all did great. I don't have any pictures of them because I had the camera. The highlight of the trip for the kids was Bruce made a zip line. The kids had fun riding on that and falling off. I came home and everybody was taking a nap. . . all six of them! Thanks Bruce, you're the best!
Bruce has been busy moving a lot of dirt around our house. Along with a new house comes landscaping etc. Our house is on a slope so there has been lots of dirt that has needed to be moved. He has been using a backhoe that this wonderful man in town has let us borrow. As you can see he has lots of great help! We think we just about have everything level and are ready to get some cement poured and grass in.
This is Rhett on the backhoe with his Dad. All the kids loved riding on that with Bruce.

We got a big load of cinders to help with the mud. In the winter when there was snow on the ground and the ground was wet we would get stuck if we didn't have 4 wheel drive. We decided we better be prepared before the rains come. We are mostly ready so bring it on!! We still need lots more cinders but we don't want to get another load until we get grass and a few things.

I love my Diamondbacks!

Baseball season is over. All 3 kids were on the same team. They had a great coach and team. There were 2 other teams here and they would play each team each week. At first that didn't sound too great but it was. After living in Rimrock and having all 3 kids on different teams and having to go to Camp Verde for everything and travel for Bridget's games, this was heaven!
They all did really good. Rhett was really supposed to play T-ball but he was tired of it last year before the season was over I didn't want him to have to play it again this year. It was a big change. They did coach pitch some games and other games kids pitched. Bridget was the 2nd baseman every game. Rhett played right field and 3rd base. Dustin tried pitching, catching, 1st and short stop. They had a great season!

Happy 4th Birthday Tylinn!!

Sunday was a fun day of Tylinn's birthday and Father's Day. I guess I didn't get any pictures of the dad at this house with this camera. I know I got some with the video camera. Tylinn loved going to church to tell everybody she was now 4!
My 10 five things about Tylinn:

1. Look at that smile! She is smiling most of the time.

2. She is a sweetie and loves to give hugs and kisses, they are the best!

3. She is a very smart girl and amazes me everyday what she knows.

4. She loves to help out.

5. Tylinn is tons of fun and I love her very much!

Tylinn's 4th Birthday Party

While the branding was going on the women and kids went back to Grandma's to have a birthday party for Tylinn. Her birthday is Sunday, June 15 but we wanted to do something with the cousins. We had cupcakes, slip n slide a pinata and cousins. Life doesn't get much better than that.

A Day on the Range

Saturday was a day of Branding on the range. Bruce left early with the rest of the cowboys and horses. Dustin and Rhett went with Grandpa to check on some tanks. Me, Bridget, Tylinn, Kaylee and the rest of the little kids/women made it out there with lunch. Bruce wasn't feeling too great and the heat of the day didn't help. He managed to make it through the day and slept really good that night!

Garden update

We wanted to hurry and get our garden planted so we could get the plants coming. We have seen deer in the neighborhood and knew we had to get a fence up soon. Thursday night the deer got in our garden. I had a few plants that I planted and they ate the tops of most of those but I think they will come back. Saturday Bruce built a fence around the garden to hopefully keep the critters - little and big out! They haven't been in since. There is lots of stuff coming up and I'm excited. We'll see if we get much of anything out of it before it decides to freeze again.

A Princess, A Bumblebee and a Wanna Be

Friday night was our girls Ballet Recital. Ballet is new to us but it is the only thing like that here. Bridget was a princess, Tylinn was a bumblebee and Kaylee just wished she could be in the show. It was supposed to be the last week of school but the package didn't come with the costumes so they had to post pone it. We were glad because Bruce was gone that week and would have missed it. They both did really good and loved it. Way to go girls!

As good as Christmas

We are trying to sort through and organize all our precious junk. We have been getting boxes out of the storage container slowly and getting rid of things or finding a place for it. This morning we hit the jack pot for the kids. It was as good as Christmas. Pull out a box of toys they hadn't see for over a year.
The Pot: The toilet at our house is a prize possesion. With only have one and 7 people it gets interesting. It never fails it can be unoccupied for hours and as soon as somebody sits, sure enough somebody else comes running in "I gotta go". We sure are thankful for the one we have!
