Wahoo!!

Well...it's official! We are homeowners! I kept it underwraps mostly because we had bad luck with the other home we were trying to buy but after looking at about 20 more homes we decided on one almost a month ago and went forward with it! I absolutley LOVE it!! Funny thing is I didn't see it in person until after we made an offer on it. One saturday Chad and I looked at about 15 homes with our realtor (YUK!) We found one and we were going to make an offer but we really liked one that we saw on the internet. It was not in the area that we had been looking at and our realtor said we could go another day to see it, well we had been burned so many times on other homes we loved that we didn't want to wait. So, we came home and put Carly to bed. Chad then drove to the house and knocked on the door. He loved it and I trusted him (I know, that can be scary!) So we made an offer on it and they accepted. Then I went to look at it and I loved it also. We went to the title company today and closed on it so now it is all ours!! I was going to get pictures tonight when we were over there but I forgot. Chad's Fishing trip

This was obviously the Mississippi Border. They went fishing of the coast of Mississippi.

They caught some huge fish and quite a few shark. My Dad caught a hammerhead shark!

These are pictures of the boat they lived in for four days. It doesn't look too shabby. Chad said it was really nice and comfortable!

St. George

This was our ride home. We got so lucky and had a whole row to ourselves! She would sit in the seat and drink her bottle. It was so nice!

Fun in the sun?

Well, I'm back from my trip to utah and it it bitter sweet. It's nice to be back in my own bed and for Carly to be in her own bed but it's bitter to be away from my family. I had so much fun though! I was glad to leave the wet rain of houston and visit the dry rain of sunny St. George! And, your welcome Brittany, for the rain. Seriously, that is really weird that it rained that much right after I got on the plane! I started the trip in a not so fun way ( I stressed our so much about flying with Carly that I made myself sick!) By, Tuesday I was in good shape and ready to go. Carly did pretty well. It took her a couple days to adjust to the new schedule but overall she did great! I don't know why I stressed about flying with her because once again, she ended up sleeping most of the flights. We even had a whole row to ourselves on the way home which was such a blessing! I'm glad Desirae could come down and visit with all her little kiddies! It's always fun to see them! There are a lot of pictures coming so be prepared!

I was watching the news yesterday and I couldn't believe what I saw!! I know many of you in utah are burning up and needing the rain so bad, I wish I could share. The news persons said that since June 1st, Houston has had a total of 35 days where it has rained!! Can you believe that?? I can, only because I've had to live in it!! This isn't important I just thought I would share this awful news with you! I really wish it would go and rain where it is needed!

I know, enough already!

I know I'm probably the only one that thinks this is cool but it's just really wierd to me! Chad said I should put this one on because he likes it better, so here it is!

So cute!!

I went to check on Carly tonight after I put her to bed and this is what I found! I thought it was so adorable! She got this baby doll for her birthday and she absolutley loves it! She carries it around the house and hugs it all the time! I love it! It is amazing how little girls are naturally loving towards baby dolls. I didn't teach her to love it or pat it on the back she just started doing it almost the minute she got the baby! After spending most of the day with Daddy she was worn out! (Mommy got to go shopping at the mall with Alycia!) She is definatly a cute little girl and we both love her so much!

Chicken Lime Soup! This is Yummy yummy! I found the recipe on www.Kraftfoods.com and I decided to try and make it! I was surprised at how good it was! It made a lot so I have tons of leftovers. (FYI- I added some corn to mine)

Just in case you are interested, here is the recipe!

1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chopped chipotle chili peppers, or to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 bay leaf
1-1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1-1/2 qt. (6 cups) chicken broth
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
Salt and black pepper
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheese
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
MIX tomatoes, onion, chili peppers, garlic, oregano and bay leaf in 4-quart saucepot. Cook on medium-high heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
ADD chicken, chicken broth and lime juice. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 30 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaf. Season soup with salt and black pepper to taste.
SERVE in soup bowls topped with cheese and cilantro.

Special Extra Serve garnished with dollop of BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, lime slices and fried corn tortillas.

Silly Girl!

For some reason, the past couple days, Carly has wanted me to put things on her head. She used to hate wearing hats but now she seems to like it! Some of the pictures she has a baby doll blanket on her head. She walked around the house for like 20 minutes and whenever it would fall off she would bring it back to me to put it back on! She is pretty funny! Oh, by the way, i was letter her play with some magazines I was getting rid of and she thought that was the best thing in the world!

Pump it Up

Me and a couple other mommies have been going to this Pump it Up place once a month. you can reserve the whole room for an hour and a half for just your group. It's very nice not to have to worry about other kids or other adults for that matter. I can just let Carly run wild and she loves it! I have to say, I have fun too!

Surprise!

I was mopping our kitchen floor yesterday. I had dunked the mop in the soap and proceeded to push it along the floor when this little thing jumped out at my hand. He jumped onto our cupboards and was covered in bubbles. I felt bad for the little guy but then again I didn't because he scared me to death!!

Happy 4th of July!

Here are some pictures from our 4th of July party. We went over to Alycia and Daniels house (Chad's sister) We got together with a bunch of friends and it was really fun. We had some dinner, talked and then did some fireworks. Carly liked the fireworks that weren't loud. I actually got to cuddle with her because she was scared of some of them.

Random Pictures

I feel like I haven't posted pictures in a while so here are a couple. Carly's new thing is to go and lay down on the rug in the kitchen. I guess she thinks its comfy? She now has two baby dolls and loves to carry both of them around. I threw in a picture of the kitten and our wierdo dog just for fun!

Stray Cat

This is a stray cat that was hanging around our house for a couple days. I made the mistake of feeding it some meat one day then it came everyday for a while. I haven't seen it around that past three days or so. It had a freaky looking eye and it kind of looked like sammy (my parents cat) in her younger years . Do you think she's come back from the dead?!
