"In our search to obtain relief from the stresses of life, may we earnestly seek ways to simplify our lives. May we comply with the inspired counsel and direction the Lord has given us in the great plan of happiness. May we be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and follow the guidance of the Spirit as we navigate this mortal journey. May we prepare ourselves to accomplish the ultimate purpose of this mortal test- to return and live with our Heavenly Father."

Weird Dream!
I have a little bit of time so I thought I'd write about the craziest dream I had last night. I dreamt that I had two Carly's. I didn't dream that I had twins, I had two Carly's. In my dream I was a little confused. I was laying in bed with Carly (1) feeding her a bottle and I heard this weird noise coming from her bedroom. We have a rotating fan in her room because it tends to get hot. In my dream I thought the fan was making the noise. Well anyway...i went to her room and opened her door and Carly (2) was sitting on the floor smiling at me. I called to Chad that Carly had climbed out of her crib. I was amazed that at nine months she could climb out all by herself. And then I woke up. It was sort of weird but it didn't feel wierd in my dream. It's hard to explain but in my dream it felt normal to have two of the same baby. All I can say is dreams are weird!!

Happy Apple
Our first purchase on e-bay! None other than the Happy Apple. I just had to get this for Carly because it brought back so many memories for me. My mom has the exact same thing that, I think, she gave to Desirae when she was a baby. So that just shows how old it is! Just Kidding Desirae. Carly loves to play with it. It chimes when it moves so she constantly rolls it across the floor so she can hear it.

What?!?
Okay, I have to write about this little incident that happened yesterday after church. I was inside the house doing something...i can't remember what though...anyways, Chad was outside with Carly letting her play in the grass. She loves playing outside and crawls everywhere. Well, all of a sudden I heard Carly cry and Chad was saying something...i couldn't quite make it out what he was saying. So I ran to our Kitchen (which is where the door is that goes outside) and I asked what was going on. He has Carly in his arms and was telling her he was sorry and he had this weird, panicked look on his face. He said "Carly picked up a snake!!" and I replied "WHAT?!?!" He didn't mention that it was a dead snake. He then explained to me that Carly was sitting down playing with some twigs in the grass, he glanced down at her and one of the "twigs" wrapped around her wrist. He said he freaked out and shook her hand to get the dead snake off of her which caused her to start crying. He felt so bad. Sometimes I feel like i live in a jungle here in texas with all of the spiders, crawfish, and now snakes that we have around us. At least we have warm weather!

Helping hands
I know I've been posting almost everyday but I just feel like I have so much to share! Carly's new thing is to empty things out of their containers. She had a basket of books and she empties it and then leaves, she empties our movies from their shelve onto the floor. Well, this morning she decided to help with the Laundry. She had so much fun emptying all of the clothes out of the baskets. I guess I shouldn't leave clean clothes in the basket (but somedays I just don't feel like folding clothes right away) Anyways...she emptied so much that she fell into one of the baskets, she didn't like it so much, but it was funny for me!

Family Picture Time
We finally got some family pictures taken. We had these done at Target and they turned out really good. Especially the pictures of Carly. She did really good, we just couldn't get her to hold still. At least she smiled in them. Sorry there are so many but they all just turned out so cute, I had to share a lot of them.

Some thoughts on me getting older
I thought since I just had a birthday i'd write a few thoughts on me getting older....
*First, the older I get, the older people think that I am, so now that I'm 23 years old, people now look at me and say "Are you 16?" instead of "Look at that poor 12 year old with a baby."
*It's true when they say "one year older and wiser too..." at least I think it is.
*The older I get, the more often I forget things...you wouldn't think that this is a good thing but it is, especially when you don't want to do something...you can just tell people that you forgot.
*The older I get, the less I care about what people think and I just do what I want to do. It's great!
*The older I get the more I care about my body and what i do to it and put in it. No more brownies for breakfast for me!
Well, it's not much but it's just some thoughts that have been running through my head! Just remember, it's not bad to get old! (now...just remind me I said that when I'm turning 30)

Yuck!
Happy Birthday to me!
So, it was my birthday yesterday but we kind of had a birthday weekend. On Saturday we drove to the Katy mills mall (which is really cool by the way) and we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Sunday we had dinner at our house and Mom and Dad McLane and April came over for dinner. The pictures above are pictures of the gift they gave me and if you can't tell it's a cowhide rug! If you know me and cows you know how happy I was. Carly loves to sit on it and feel it with her hands, it's really cute! Let's just hope she never pees or poops on it because I don't know how I would clean it. Monday night which was my actual birthday Chad and I went to dinner, just the two of us. If you can believe it, that was the first time that we both left Carly to do something by ourselves. It was rather nice, I may have to do it more often! All in all it was a great birthday!

so cute!
I took these pics this morning. Like I said before, Carly is pulling herself up on anything now. We have a low window sill in our living room and she loves to crawl over to it and pull herself up so she can look outside. Well, I looked over at her this morning and hse was licking the window. It was so funny. I tried to get a picture from outside of her licking it but she wouldn't do it. I just thought I'd share this funny moment!! She is a funny baby!

something about nothing
I was looking on the internet for help with my lesson in YW's this sunday and I came across this cute quote. It has nothing to do with the lesson but I thought It was kind of neat so i am going to share it anyway....
"Once upon a time in an office were four people. Their names were Everybody, Somebody, Nobody, and Anybody. When there was important work to be done, Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could've done it, but Nobody did it. When Nobody did it, Everbody got mad because it was Anybody's job. Everybody thought that Somebody would do it, but Nobody realized it wouldn't get done, so Nobody did it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done in the first place."
it's confusing but fun!

The sun is out!
The past couple days have been so nice outside that we decided to put Carly in some junk clothes and let her explore our yard (which is finally starting to dry up after all the rain) These pictures were taken on Sunday after Church. It was about 6o degrees outside (sorry Emma) and the sun was actually shining!! It was such a beautiful day. Carly loved it, she kept crawling all over trying to chase skipper.

Time Flies!
I was looking through a scrapbook I made when Chad and I were dating and I found this picture. It was one of the first one's taken of the two of us. It was after a school dance that we went to in April 2001. (wow, that seems like forever ago!) This is us now (December 2006) with our little addition!

The three amigos
We love to Fly
Another airplane ride for Carly, it's too bad she can't aquire flight miles just yet. This was her 5th airplane ride and she is only 8 months old. As you can see, she likes it especially since there were lots of people to hold her. She usually sleeps the whole way, which is very nice for me. She is with her Aunt Sharise in this picture.

Carly and Cutter
I decided one day to show Carly Mimi's horses since I have never done it. I figured she's old enough now to really care and since she likes skipper so much I figured she's really love the horses. I was right, I walked right up to cutter and she reached right out and almost stuck her hand up his nose. It was pretty funny. I am so glad she loves animals. Ler me rephrase that, she loves live animals. She hates fake animals. When we went to the rainforest cafe she freaked out when we held her up to the gorillas. It was sad but funny. We are so mean!
