I'm still awake and I've gotta wake up like extra early later cause my dad's not fetching me to school. Sigh, the comforts of owning a car. Well, as they say, you'll never appreciate what you have till it's gone. =/

Hmm. Studied quite a bit for the organic chem test tomorrow. Still can't understand what's so "organic" about it although they say it's because it's the study of carbon compounds. Okay.....
Well, hopefully I'll be able to at least PASS this freaking chemistry test like for the first time so as to let Ms Lim know that I am already making some effort for the promos.

Hmm. Did a little for my proposal to change the uniform colour + name of TPJC. Hopefully I'll be able to cook up something by after promos. Then I'll be attending a new school next year! Well, that's if it even gets approved by Bryan of course.

I have to remember to plan the farewell barbeque for Ms Ng.
I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I have to remember. I HAVE TO!

My God, the last time I smsed her she was like telling me "Oh, and please don't disgrace Hai Sing." Her impression of me must be so damned bad, I gotta do something to change it before she leaves.

Oh, and for those people who think that saying the commands for the whole cohort during assembly in the morning, IT AIN'T EASY! It's really stressful cause you'll be afraid that you might screw up and the pledge and this might sound stupid but you just might screw it up although you've recited it like all your life.

Still playing around with the idea of auditioning for Teacher's day tomorrow. But how can I possibly emcee and perform at the same time? I'm afraid I'll be teased at too. HOW?

Looong and tiring day today. Sigh. Spent a great part of council meeting planning and arranging those alphabets in the alphabet soup for the Teacher's day gift. That took quite a lot of patience. =/

And I've got tons of projects that I gotta work on right now. Not to forget the school work that I already have plus the revision I need to do. Noooooo...

I left my GP group to do the project work while I went home to take a break. Was seriously damn tired from the lack of amount of sleep but right now, I'm feeling rather guilty.. AGAIN! I better make some positive changes to my life.

For one, I managed to do a considerable amount of work for my Biology and Chemistry when I met up with Gary at Macdonald's in the evening.

Hmm.. Hopefully I'll be able to do well for my Econs test that I took this morning. I have to prove to Ms Tan that I'm no wastrel.

Spent the better part of the afternoon catching up on some much needed sleep. It's like one now and I have to study for the Econs test later. This is so stressful. =/

I skipped that maths remedial just now just to get some sleep at home. Damn, I'm feeling so guilty now - seeing the state of my maths just makes me feel like slapping my forehead.

The bloody econs test is like 20%. And apparently Ms Tan kinda expects me to be some sort of a wastrel. I have to show it to her. No, I'll show it to her.

Someone help me.. I keep telling myself I want to work and I've set everything out nicely and stuff but I just keep finding myself preoccupied with things that are less important. E.g. Pointless surfing of the net and reading people's nicks.. WTF?! Nooo... And recently, Kenneth found a new hobby in blackmailing me with vids of me dozing off in class. My life is so miserable. -.-

Yeh, surprisingly, I'm doing some preparation for this Saturday's economics test. I've collected like 15 articles so far.. Which is pretty impressive if you ask me, considering my attitude towards Econs. Bah, hopefully I can get more stuffs done tonight.

School ends late rather often lately because of some tests or remedials here and there. AND I HAVE TO STAY BACK ON TOMORROW FOR MATHS. IT IS A FRIDAY, DAMN IT! WHY!?

Why? I asked. Probably because you've been too damned lazy, Mark.

Ahh... 36 days to promos!

Don't have much time to leave an entry cause I've got work to do so I'll just do up a short one just to fufill my commitment! haha.. 've been distracted a lot from my work again today.. Sigh.. Didn't manage to even do a fraction of the work that I aimed to do.. So I'm trying to make some amendments to myself now..

Oh, and the Incredible Hulk was a nice show. It was on Channel 5 earlier this evening and I didn't catch much of it. But, as with all the other fictional movies, it really puzzled me how certain things worked like how Bruce's father could actually transform into an electrical form, then a rock form and finally into a water form. I mean, he still IS human despite what he has done to himself. This is indeed puzzling. Perhaps the scriptwriters have gone too far..

OH! And, I just got reminded that I'm emceeing for Teacher's Day =) Feel sooo honoured. But there's a little sadness in it too.. Cause I'm told that if I were to emcee, I wouldn't be able to perform.. Sigh.

Hahahaha.. And here I am gettting distracted from work again. Bah.. Recently, Naruto became some great craze and obsession in my class and I thought I might as well check it out. I'm on my third episode right now and honestly, I think it's quite nice. Haha. I don't quite watch animes much though cause it's quite hard to follow them. But Youtube makes it all sooo easy. =D And I really do love Saturdays cause there's just such a great flexibility of time that you have. =)

The start of a brand new day now at 1700 hours. Just had two games of dota and I thought now's a good time to start studying before my parents get back. Promos are SIX weeks away! Nooo.. I can't imagine if one day I wake up to find myself no longer in 06S02. They'd have to elect a new chairman AGAIN! Nooo.. Well, speaking of my wonderful class, here are some photos of myself with them =) (I still haven't received the BBQ pics yet. =/)

Here's a photo of us trying to get a pose together.

Ah, there's the pose we're trying at. The classic ASEAN handshake.

And here's one shot of them doing their hobby, Taupok-ing me.

And there, a formal shot of us. =)

Ahahaha. I love this class! Woooooo

Ah, just got back from the barbeque. I think it was an overall success with many people turning out to be quite happy and that there was leftover food - not that I am some sadistic bastard who hogs the food and refuse to give any to the poor starving people, but it goes to show that there was sufficient food for everyone.

The only two sad stuffs was that:
#1 - There weren't enough people turning up, hence the leftover food (About 18 out of 24 showed up)
#2 - There was a lack of variety for the food. (Basically, there was just Chicken Wings, Sausages, Chicken Fillet, Chicken Gizzard, Chilli Crabsticks, Otah, and some cocktail stuffs for dessert.)

Hmm.. But I guess everyone was quite happy with the barbeque. Also, it was the first time that I saw the people who attended the stuff genuinely being appreciative. Most of them thanked me and Kian Hwee for putting in the effort the day before and that sort of thanks is also much appreciated on our part. =)

Well, basically, we didn't do much for the barbeque except barbequeing (sp?). Which is really quite sad. We initially planned to go fishing or basketballing or soccering but it all didn't work out. We didn't even get to play a game of dai dee -.-" . Yeh, so it's really kinda sad. But I could tell that they all had fun talking cock and taking photos. That is, after all, cheap and free entertainment.

lol, I'll post the photos later on when I receive them and when I have the time. Meanwhile, let me write up a mini-guide to barbequeing for myself and for all the other people in future who ever need to organise a barbeque but do not want to waste the time planning. Ah, so here goes.

Mark's mini-guide to Barbequeing.
#1 - Know the amount of people you are inviting so you would roughly know the amount of food to buy and set aside a budget. Check out the area that you are going to book the pit at and make sure that there are enough seats and space for the people you're inviting. If you're booking a pit at the park, make sure it is reasonably near the toilet and that you have a corner pit, one that isn't sandwiched in between two pits.

#2 - Come up with a list of food items to purchase and also remember to keep in mind your Muslim friends and buy food stuffs that are Halal. Do your shopping a day before the barbeque so as to have ample time to marinate the chicken wings and other meatstuffs.

Here is a sample shopping list for 25 people.
  1. Charcoal (2 packs of 2 KG)
  2. Metal Grill
  3. 2 Aluminium Trays
  4. Aluminium Foil (3.75 m²)
  5. 2 pairs of short tongs (For the food)
  6. 1 pair of long tongs (For the charcoal)
  7. 3 bottles of Sambal Blachan (For the crabsticks)
  8. 2 bottles of Kikkoman Teriyaki Chicken seasoning
  9. Margarine (Polyunsaturated)
  10. Margarine brush
  11. Plastic cups
  12. Plastic forks
  13. Plastic spoons
  14. Plastic cups
  15. Paper plates
  16. Paper serviettes
  17. Marker (To label the utensils with names so as to prevent wastage)
  18. Table cover (for easy clearing of the mess on the table)
  19. Satay sticks
  20. 4 packets of sausages
  21. Canned dessert
  22. 2 packets of marshmellow (ensure it's Halal)
  23. 3 packets of 2 KG chicken wings
  24. 5 packets of crabsticks (18 pieces in each pack)
  25. 4 packs of chicken fillets
  26. Satay (Determine quantity)
  27. 2 packs of Otah
  28. 10 bottles of 1.5 litre drinks (Use cordial if you wanna save money)
  29. Tidbits (to fill the stomachs of those who can't wait)
  30. 1 packet of Ice
  31. Cockles (With ice. =))
  32. Ice box
  33. Poker cards
  34. Fried Bee Hoon or Rice

Scout the supermarket one last time before leaving to double check for any items that you might have left out.

#3 - Have in mind what you might want to do besides plainly barbequeing.

Some suggestions would be fishing, basketballing, soccering, kiting, or just playing some dumb card games. Remember, the people would not just be sitting there and eating all the time.

#4 - Remember to start the fire before the arrival of the people you're inviting and make sure the fire is really hot (and I do mean hot) so it would not take 10 years to cook some chicken wings which the people would eventually get sick of waiting.

#5 - Have fun. =)

Hmm.. I wonder why the hell did I just come up with that. Ah, but it's all done anyways. Well, it's getting pretty late and I'm getting rather guilty with the fact that the promos are coming and I still know nuts about my subjects.

Dear God, please help me overcome my tendency to get distracted and focus on my studies.

And off I go to sleep.

As usual, I got distracted while studying and I found some random photo on TPJC.net that's dated like 8 months back.

Honestly, it's really disgusting and I'm kinda questioning myself now for putting this photo up. Hmm..

Bah, just finished blog-hopping and I thought now's a good time to add an entry to this now-dying blog. Hmm. Really wonder why I don't have any discipline to blog consistently.. Perhaps this is somehow related my tendency to do last-minute work? =/

Well, once again, I'm gonna make an empty promise of trying to update this blog consistently. But I'm gonna say it for myself to hear. I AM GONNA BLOG OFTEN.

Yea, I sure hope I do.

Anyways, there's this barbeque for my class tomorrrow. Was supposed meet like 8 people to buy the stuffs for the barbeque. But only one showed up. Some class spirit, eh? lol. We went around buying stuffs like no one's business cause we both know that the money would ultimately come from the class fund so we really weren't bothered with how much it cost ultimately. We bought almost everything you needed for a barbeque.. and more. Stuffs like Chicken Gizzard (commonly known as kian) and really expensive sausages were in (the ones with cheese in it). And we basically bought food for like maybe 20 people? Although only 10+ are expected to come.

And the outcome? We spent like 122 dollars for a barbeque for maybe like 10+ people. When I was at the cashier, I was like WTF? The last time I had a barbeque for 20+ people, it was only like 80 bucks. And I'm like paying for the stuffs first. The class had better pay me back my 122 dollars man. Or I'm really screwed.

Well, we pushed the NTUC trolley all the way back to my home as well. And all the while we were figuring how to get the 1 dollar coin out of that slot thingy. On the way, I saw my ex-primary school classmate, Melvin, as well. =) It's been like 3 years since I last saw him. I nearly didn't recognise him. But the best part was that he completely didn't recognise me. He was like "Wah.. I didn't even see you." lol.

Got to my home to marinate those stuffs. I'm like a complete newbie at marinating food and I completely didn't know what to do. My friend was like, wtf are you doing washing the chicken in the toilet? Right, I didn't even know the chicken needed defrosting. I also didn't know that it needed 8260275 gallons of water to defrost it. Kian Hwee was like washing the chicken under running water the whole time. lol. But we eventually got to it and besides the part where we included the chicken and crab stick that dropped onto the floor into the food pile, it was rather hygenic. Wait, there's still this part when Kian Hwee drooled onto the crabsticks but I guess it's far too disgusting as it is. To think he told me himself that he didn't feel like eating the food already. -.-"

Well, I still got like 2 tests to study for tomorrow. Chemical energetics and Binomial Induction (A new term coined by my maths teacher for Binomial Theorem and Mathematical Induction. Sounds like a new maths chapter already.) Yeh, so I'm off to it now and I've got like 6 hours to school. lol. I'm screwed alright.

Whatever happened to all the ACG outings on Fridays? I guess they really don't give a damn, huh.
