Molly and I, along with Marie and Sophie, went to see "Beauty and the Beast" at the ATT Performing Arts Center today! We went to lunch, shopped at the Disney store and enjoyed the production. That is such a beautiful theater and we had such great seats that we caught streamers from the show! Fun day!

Merrily is named librarian of Curtsinger Elementary School
Just last week I found out that I have been chosen to be the librarian for Curtsinger Elementary School. Their librarian, Janice Scott, is retiring after 16 years as their librarian. She helped open the school and is a wonderful librarian. I know that I will learn so much from her before she turns the library over to me! I am so excited about this new challenge and blessing that has come my way!

Matt runs in America's Run - Half Marathon
Matt ran in America's Run. He finished with a time of 1:48 (a full minute ahead of Troy Aikman), finishing 170th out of 1100. He probably ran so well because of his little cheer squad! Molly and Miles enjoyed cheering him on from the road at mile 6. They made signs and cheered the runners on! Matt finished with his picture on the video board in Cowboy stadium. It was a fun event - way to go Matt!

Cowtown Half-Marathon
Matt has always been a runner but has been serious about it for well over a year now. After feeling a little envious of his fitness and pride, I decided to try running. All of you reading this know that I am NOT a runner and never have been, but, I met the challenge! After training for four months, I completed my very first Half- Marathon! That is 13.1 miles!!! I am a little disappointed in my time and hope to do better next time but am very proud that I finished.
I got quite a surprise when I got to the finish line - my family was there to cheer me on! I did not know that they were coming - my mom and dad came from La Pryor and my sister and her family, Kim, Bruce, Katelynn & Hunter, came in from Edmond, Oklahoma! It really meant the world to me that they all came in to support me! Betty and Clark were there too!
Matt ran the half-marathon and beat his time from his last half-marathon. Friends, Erin Price and Steve Lange also ran in Fort Worth with us - they are pictured here with Matt and I.
