Davy and I take a coffee break while working on cookie dough in the cookie dough factory. She's been such a faithful sidekick.
I spend time during home school getting the boys' paperwork filled out for school next year. It feels like huge decisions and I don't know what the right one is. They could stay home and school 100%. They could go to charter school 4 days per week. They could do half and half. We are behind in math for Samuel, so need to catch him up with that.
5:30-6:30 p.m. Tball practice. Samuel helps to coach Boss' team.
This is usually the response I get when I ask Boss to clean up his oatmeal disaster. Some sort of hiding/writhing.
The boys took the camera upstairs for awhile and played with stuffed animals.
Dishes. Always dishes.
I delivered to Grant Park this morning and got to take home these treats for the kids. They inhaled them after breakfast.
The kids played while Davy and I worked cookie dough.
Jude in his element - building Legos.
Jude and I prep for his birthday by thawing meat.
Jude spends part of home school time writing Jim a thank you note for his birthday gift (a massive Lego set).
This is how much Jude likes his picture taken.
Freshly showered after hot yoga, kids tucked in, I zone out on my iPad - usually checking Instagram or Pinterest. Tonight I continue on to edit photos and post to my blog for Week in the Life.
At Boss' practice, I sneak a few pages of "We Were the Lucky Ones" and am loving every moment! Photo courtesy of Sis.
At 5 a.m., I head out on a run to meet Mona. We run together for about 45 minutes. I continue to run until I get at least 6 miles. Training for Hood to Coast has been time intensive.
Samuel teaches Sis math.
Sis has me do bubbles with her - I blow them, she chases them, for about half of baseball practice.
Here she is, reading her butterfly book to me while sitting on the bathroom counter. Samuel is in the shower. We have the Moana Pandora station playing in the background. I apply makeup.
Tuck in time. I pray with the three boys. Samuel hides his face since he has his head gear on. Boss takes turns sleeping in Sis' room and the boys room - alternating every other night. I'm a sweaty mess from hot yoga.
Nigh time prayers with Sis for bedtime.

Week in the Life 2017 (Monday)
Here we go on another Week in the Life annual photodocumenting project! This is a bit of a weird week as the charter school is out of session due to state testing, so our schedule is much more laid back.
7:15 p.m. Kids and I watch Doc Martin. Boss sits in a basket. This kid is fabulously ODD.
During school, Boss takes over the picture taking. I now realize this is the key to getting him into photos. He's learned the timer function and is taking full advantage.
Boss washes his hands, his bedwetting alarm still attached. He's been in no hurry to remove that thing in the mornings.
Self timer shenanigans.
First thing in the morning - Colin checks on used cars on the internet, I check email for business orders.
More self-timer shenanigans. This might be one of my favorite pics.
As I drive Samuel to math placement testing at the charter school, Jude works on Language Arts.
This is what homeschool looks like these days - messy, chaotic. Rarely do we finish what's on that list on the white board in a day.
A side french braid for Sis. She's growing her hair out to donate and we are having fun braiding it every day.
A quiet moment by myself in the morning before everyone awakes.
I make quick cooking steel cut oats for the littles.
Breakfast looks like this. Older boys eat eggs and toast, the Littles eat oatmeal.
Naptime - I look at class schedules and options for next year at ACA.
Sis before she wakes.
The kids are always happy to play outside after school is over.
