Silly Abby

Just a couple pics of my favorite girl these past couple of weeks.

Where's Abby?

Just hiding on the window sill behind the curtains.

Something new....

So I have been looking to upgrade to a DSLR for a long time now. (I love photography, but only had a film SLR.....and well, film is just to expensive to keep up with.) I have been biding my time, looking for exactly what I wanted, price checking, and finally was able to get my new camera. A Canon 50D, w/2 lenses! YAY!

Waiting sure paid off! (Don't worry Angie.....I'll get practicing ASAP to be ready for your wedding!)
Keep checking in to see me on this new photographic journey!

Our little helper

Buying a house is stressful, expensive, and TIME consuming. But, I am happy to report that we are finally moved in. Last week I felt as though I was living in the movie 'Money Pit' because it seemed that as soon as we fixed one thing something else would break, leak, etc.
Here are a few things we have learned from our home buying experience:
1. ASK Questions! I don't care if you annoy your realtor, inspector, or anyone else.....you need answers!
2. ALWAYS! ALWAYS! Make sure the utilities are on for your home inspection, and appraisal! Yell at the utility companies if you have too! (Most of the utilities here were shut off due to past due amounts.)
3. Be willing to take on the risk if you proceed without the utilities! (We ended up needing a new furnace before our gas would be turned back on.)
Now that all the major things have been fixed, I am very happy with our new home.....It's actually feeling like HOME!
On a more pleasant note, we have ourselves a very helpful little girl. She was into EVERYTHING!, until she snuck off with a screwdriver and old outlet cover. She just needed to be included in all the work.
She loved to help her dad, and she even helped my dad tape to prep for painting!
Here she is helping Daddy put together a new piece of furniture.

I admit it, I'm a 'Fanpire'

Well, I'm finally back.....and with the internet. Our move went OK, but I'll leave those details for another post.

My family drove up from Utah this last week to help us move in and paint etc. They came in late Saturday night (7th), and by the time Wednesday rolled around everyone was getting cabin fever. My youngest sister brought a friend up, and they wanted to travel to Forks and take in all the Twilight sights. So Thursday morning we loaded into two cars, and headed to the Olympic peninsula for that tiny little town.

We saw Bella's truck, an old renovated house "The Cullen's" that is now a B&B, and the hospital where Dr. Cullen has his own parking spot. (Bella's motorcycle was parked there.) My sisters really enjoyed it, and I'll admit, I felt like a giddy teenager again hanging out with them on this adventure.

Any trip to see Twilight sights would not be complete without a trip to LaPush. On our way onto the reservation we were warned with this sign........

What a beautiful day to spend on the beach!
