Look Alike

Yesterday I really wanted to get ALL my photos better organized. Abby was napping, and Gerritt was doing some much needed yard work. Perfect time to get something done. As I was sorting and organizing I found this old picture, and did a double take. That little kid in the picture looks just like Abby.......But it's my baby sister Maryann when she was about Abby's age.

Yes, there are some differences, but wow there is quite a resemblance. Abby will be super lucky to be as cute as her Aunt Maryann!

*I know that the picture is bad, I had to scan it....and well.....I guess we know where Abby gets her cheesy grin from!

Abby is now 18 months old. (Yesterday) We had her well-baby check-up, and she is still growing like a weed!

Her current stats:

Height: 33 in 80% (she's grown TWO inches in three months)

Weight: 24 lbs 4 oz 50%

And I wonder why she's grown out of so many clothes in the last couple of months.

She still sleeps 12+ hours a night, and then a good 2-3hr nap in the afternoon. This is my favorite time of day.

So this is her new signature smile. I hold up the camera and say "SMILE" and out of nowhere cheesy grin returns!

Christmas......a little late

We had a wonderful, albeit snowy, Christmas. Here are some highlights of our morning.

Abby wasn't sure what exactly was going on.

But she soon caught on......

She even enjoyed opening her first gift. (She was way too distracted with the her first gift to open any more presents.)

My mom made this Raggedy Ann doll for Abby. I still have the one my mom made for me when I was little. She was my favorite doll. I hope Abby enjoys hers as much as I enjoyed mine.

What a ham, but how can you not grin when you see this face?
