A late birthday, a fried turkey, and a week long family cold

So this past week has been the longest and possibly least productive week Bob and I have seen. Averi got a cold last Monday-ish and Bob and I caught it shortly thereafter. I know a cold sounds like we've got a pity cough, and a runny nose. But seriously, it's been torture. It's like a cold that makes you feel like you should be dead - and we just cannot shake it off.
Anyway....we missed a very needed night at the Temple, the opening of Twilight in theaters, the OSU vs. Michigan game we've been looking forward to all season, church, and so much more - of course including Averi's one and only first birthday.
So needless to say, we've just sat at home, tired, ornery with no food in the house but cereal, milk, and orange juice from the Renchers.
So my question is this... Why wont this evil cold go away?
Okay, so now that I've vented about our sick week, here are the highlights...
Though Averi's birthday was Friday, and we were all sick, I made some muffins for us to eat. They were really good!

Also, Saturday Bob fried his first turkey! I got him a turkey fryer as an early Christmas gift this year, so Saturday was his practice round for Thanksgiving. It was honestly amazing and we loved it!

Saturday night we felt really bad that we didn't do anything for Averi's birthday, so we all went to Graeters ice cream and enjoyed some ice cream cones, and let Averi play in their little play section for a little bit (which she really enjoyed).
After that we came home and had Averi open her gifts. She was so excited for her mini kitchen. Though it wasn't the birthday we'd been invisioning the past 6 months, it turned out fun!
Well here are some pics from the past week....

And then there were 2 ...

Well 9 weeks later we thought we'd let everyone know that baby #2 is on it's way. Though it's FOREVER away, we will be expecting little #2 in early June...I think June 12th to be almost exact! :) Anyway, before my belly gives it away to too many more people, we just thought we'd officially let everyone know we are expecting and we are SO excited!!!

Family Photo's

Well we were really excited to finally get our first family photo's professionally done since Averi has been born! Ohio has been gorgeous these past couple of weeks, so we thought it would be perfect timing to get outdoor photo's!
Well..... our sweet Averi started crying about 1/2 way through the photo session and we had no idea why. When we got home she felt really warm, so we took her temperature. 103.3. Poor girl!! Anyway, the next morning she cut her first two teeth. Not the best timing for photo's, but what can ya do?
