ROOKIE SEASON

We were very lucky to have Yia Yia, Rebecca and her kids, and Dave and Sarah come to see us. We took them to our favorite Yogurtland and we just had a lot of fun hanging out! Greg and Caleb got their costumes in the mail and they of course have been living in them ever since. JOE and LARISSA just kickin it in the strollers!

LARISSA getting to know CALEB and WOLVERINE.

This is yogurtland.

The kids at the playground at Townsquare mall.

We even got Crystal out for a few moments.

I think Batman eventually won this clash!

Greg on his soccer picture day, good and sweaty.

Uncle Marc teaching some gun safety to Larissa.

This is Greg's first soccer game and he did pretty well!

So as Greg was getting all excited for Soccer I explained that when I was a boy my parents would pay $1 for every goal and homerun that we got in our games. Greg's eyes got dollar signs in them and he must of asked 30 times when his game was. On Saturday he had his first game and he scored his first goal in about 30 seconds. I wish I would have captured the grin on his face... he was beaming! Then he hurried up and scored another and reminded me that he gets a dollar per goal. At the rest time I told him he needed to try and pass to the other players on his team and he tried and they did not quite get the idea so he abandoned that and proceeded to score 3 more goals!!! His team won 5-3 and I happily paid out $5 dollars. They are not supposed to keep score but of course every one does including Greg who knew exactly how many goals he had as well as the other team. I don't mean to brag but well....yeah I do! A Dad has to be proud of 5 goals and especially when he wins single handedly and the referee came over and asked "who is that #5, he is really good!"

Over Labor Day we went up to my family's cabin and my brother Sam snapped some pictures of us. It's pretty tricky to get all of us looking at the camera let alone looking good, but Sam, being the good photographer that he is managed to get some great pics.

Here is Marc at his favorite fishing hole right after a catch. He's the only one who ever catches fish there. Must be the way he fishes or something. Anyway, it was an awsome weekend and Greg even cried when it was time to go home. Back to Hot Las Vegas! But it is actually cooling off a little. Marc is busy with applying to residencies and I am busy with Greg in school and of course the other two at home. Any suggestions on where to apply for residencies?

End of Summer- or is it?

The whole summer has passed and I have yet to blog about anything that we have done over the past three months. It really has been a fun summer and we have been able to do some great trips and adventures. However, I am so far behind that I'll never be able to recap in just one post so, oh well. But I have new resolve to keep up better and hopefully I will follow through.

For starters, Marc got a few days off last week so we decided to make a weekend trip to California. What a fun place! I think I could stay there for a month and not get bored. A lot of the things that I want to do there cost money so we had to get creative. We spent a lot of time at the beach and one day walking around Santa Monica. It was all fun. Marc and Josie hangin'

Caleb diggin'

Greg skim boardin'

Bonnie and Josie snugglin' (This little carrier- the snugli- has been with me through all my kids and is still in great shape. I love it!)

One more thing that I really loved in CA was this frozen yogurt place that we found called YOGURTLAND! Holy smokes, this place was awsome. I am still craving the deliciousness that I experienced there. It was so cool because you get this huge cup (way bigger than the one I have pictured above) and then you fill it up with whatever flavors you want and as much of each as you choose and then there is a whole slew of toppings (which includes all your typical sundae toppings as well as some less usual ones like fruity pebbles and captain crunch ). At the end of all this they weigh it and you pay up to the sum of 30 cents/per ounce. Which was actually very reasonable, I thought. Anyway, the best part is that you can tell yourself that it is healthy!
Marc thinks I am obsessed, but I was extatic to find out that there is a Yogurtland in Vegas! Hurrah! You better believe that's where I'm headed on our next night out on the town.

Spring Wrap-up

Ok. Where to begin? I've been putting off posting because I am so far behind. Having hands free with a new baby is part of the challenge, plus we were out of town for the month of April... excuses, excuses, I know! But, finally I am gettin' with the program. So here is the condensed version of the last couple months.

Marc did a rotation in Richfield, UT during the month of April. We stayed at my fam's cabin which is not too far away from there. Strange place to do a rotation, you say? Well, yes, but it came highly recommended from a classmate of Marc's who is from the area and did the same rotation some months ago. And a good rotation it was. By far the best one he has had so far. In fact, Marc keeps scaring me with hints at liking it enough to want to go back there to practice someday. We'll see though. That's still years away.

So, on the way up there, we crossed paths with Dave, Marc's younger brother who sells school buses. He let Caleb and Greg ride around with him in the parking lot in the bus that he was delivering. They loved it.

Here's the kiddos at the cabin. Greg and caleb are really good brothers and have been great with Josie.

Marc was really busy. So much so that we left him there at the cabin to fend for himself for part of the time while we went up to stay with my family. (A whole month at the cabin with three kids by myself? One can only survive for so long!) But, finally at the end of the month, Marc got a few days off to hang out and take Greg four-wheeling.

We also blessed Josie while we were up in Utah because both our families are already there. We just did it at my parents house and it went great, except that Josie did scream like a lion cub the whole time Marc was giving her the blessing.

And lastly, Greg turned five so we celebrated with the family the night before we left to come back to Vegas.

So there's the wrap-up. Now we are back in Vegas and it is getting hot fast! But it's nice to be back at our house. Greg and Caleb still miss being at the cabin and so does Marc for that matter. (This month's rotation hasn't been as exciting and he has to drive in traffic everyday instead of looking for elk on his way to work.)

Baby Love!

Thanks to my friend Rachel, Josie got to have a photo shoot the other week. These are a few of the pics. Hate to brag but I have a seriously cute baby. The woes of pregnancy all seem worth it when they are finally here.

Our Little Cupcake!

I have had this background on my blog for the last month in anticipation of our new baby girl. It's the first time I could choose a background with a girly theme because until now all my posts have revolved around boys. I didn't know I was going to have to wait so long to actually post about her. My due date was last Friday and she didn't come until the wee hours of Wednesday morning. The waiting was hard but definitely worth it! So... Introducing our little babe of a girl Josie May Wangsgard. 9lbs 1oz 20 1/2 inches.
The best part about all of this was that Marc got to be the one to deliver her. It was really a memorable experience and he did a perfect job. Greg and Caleb are pretty excited about her and are doing a good job being big brothers.

I feel great and am glad to be home with my three beautiful kids. It is such a thrilling thing to bring a new little spirit into this world and be a small part of Heavenly Father's handiwork.
