Scrapfriends New Sketch Challenge is up

I love scrapfriends http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/ sketches and the new one is up now for this month and I am very honoured to be one of the Guest Designers this month. I love how they lean to a arty style of layout.

This is my take of my Hubby and Me on our Wedding Day

The lace on the bottom is actually from my going away top.

The banner is canvas that I have spritzed with glimmer mist and smudged with pan pastels

some cute little flowers and the metal love sign was a gift from a friend. I have also used Amy Tangerine Envelope

A scrappy Day, meeting new people , eating and a couple of layouts

Hello my lovely bloggy friends,
Yesterday was our fortnightly scrap get together at Annette's and Julene travelled up from Sydney to scrap with us. I lost count of how many layouts Julene got done ( she power scraps!) Annette, Kim and myself managed to get one layout done and I started another which I have just finished off today. We had a beautiful lunch and dinner ( Thanks Annette) and topped it off with Kim's delish Pav (Thanks Kim), lots of talking was done of course.

I did this layout of my eldest son Joe and beautiful little Grandson Jedd for the challenge over at csicolorinspirations http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/ , just scraped it in by the skin of my teeth (that's a crazy saying if you stop and think about it) 

Love the chevron stamp from scrapfriends http://scrapfriends.com.au/ The white meshy stuff is from a old doily, the little banner is Pink Paislee also from scrapfriends. The little bird is Prima. Journal card is Amy Tangerine.

This is the second layout Me, Joe and Jedd on Jedd's Christening day. Both photo's were actually taken on the same day.

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge ~ The Cutest little Elves Ever

I came across this little photo of Chelsea and her Best friend and I just love it. As the journalling says on the tag tucked in the side
" Chelsea and Amy the cutest little Elves ever! You were in the end of year dance concert only 3 or 4 years old. Your dance careers was short and sweet. Besides this you performed Singing in the Rain and that was it. Over 24 years on and you are both still arm in arm Best Friends . Love you Both xxx

Super Excited

I am super excited in the next few weeks I will start teaching scrapbooking at Marally Craft  http://marallycraft.blogspot.com.au/   :) This is the layout I am going to be doing for my first class using the Butterfly Kisses Range of PP's from Kaisercraft. The photo is of my beautiful Granddaughter

As the weeks go on I hope to introduce different techniques and scrapping styles to inspire the ladies to create and have fun and to document and preserve their memories.
So I am really looking forward to this journey.

Scrapfriends Colour Challenge ~ Take it Easy

Evening, hope everyone is relaxed and looking forward to the weekend.
Scrapfriends has their new colour challenge up which is 


I really quite like these colours and thought I would do a layout with lots of misting etc, but even though I have misted, the layout ended up turning out no way that I had imagined, it just took a whole new  look, but oh well I just went with the flow

I have cut the middle out of an old cloth doily and then added embossed cardstock . The big white flower is from Bella and the Yellow is from D-Lish Scraps http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/. The little white and pink flowers from Craftqueen  http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ . I am a little excited this week , as I am going to start teaching scrapbooking at our local craft store in a few weeks, so Yay for me :)

CSI Colour Inspiration Challenge #41 ~ It matters

Evening my lovely visitors here,

Yesterday I had a lovely day scrapping with Kim and Annette and eating ( well a lot of eating) But I managed to do a layout for the CSI Colour inspiration Challenge http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/



I have hidden journalling about my dreams on a tag slotted in the side with ribbon as a pull out tab

I love the gorgeous Kaiser rosettes and I love the colours together. I have added gold ribbon and inked gold around the edges as part of the evidence, also layers and white on white as part of the evidence

This was the weather coming in the other day when I left work, the next day it snowed! CrAzy Weather

CSI Case #40

Hello,

Hope everyone is well and survived back to work Monday. I had my girl home for the weekend, a quick visit, but so good to see her. We managed to have a family lunch, shame Joe the eldest couldn't make it though

The new challenge over at CSI   http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/is up and I enjoyed scrapping a photo of my two Grandchildren, they are so cute :)

and this is my take

This is a sunset on the beautiful Island of Navutu in Fiji. I have used all the colours. The book page is a page I tore from a Dictionary and I have highlighted the word travel and traveller as part of the Evidence criteria

I have stamped leaves on a transparency and I have used Pastels to shade the Canvas strips and I have globe/map print PP so more evidence covered.

and for my testimony I have journal ed on a lesson learnt

MY MUM AND DAD ~ScrapFriends Sketch Challenge

Hello 

It is a beautiful day here today and I have just had a lovely lunch with one of my favourite people ~ My daughters best  friend ~ our other daughter.

So the sketch at Scrap friends at  the moment I just love http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/search/label/Sketch%20Challenge 

I really don't have a style of scrapbooking as such as I tend to let the photo and story I want to tell dictate the way the layout will flow, BUT I really like this type of sketch and it tends to go well with the vintage photo's I enjoy scrapping. I seem to enjoy scrapping the old photo's and enjoy the more artistic freedom with this style of sketch

My Mum and Dad and I think the photo was taken at "The Glen" my Grandmothers house
