The Long and Short of it

Morning lovely people

Yesterday was our fortnightly scrap day at Miss Annette's and I decided to do the sketch challenge over at http://scrapfriends.com.au/

So here is my take on the sketch ~ The Long and Short of it

This is my Mum and middle child Christopher on Mother's Day this year, I reckon this photo is super cute :)
The Base PP is the gorgeous Bo Bunny Double Dots, then I have used left over pieces of Crate Paper . The gorgeous blue flowers are Bella that were given to me by the lovely Susan. The Quote tag is MME and the Empress round tag is October Afternoon.
We always take it in turns of supplying lunch for our scrap day. Yesterday Annette made delicious Garlic Prawns

and she got us my favourite dessert Citrus Tart.... Yum !

Yes sometimes we seem to do more eating and talking than scrapping, but hey its all good :)

It has been cold and wet here and this is how it looks outside my window

And I opened my front door and this vibrant autumn leave greeted me

And trees down the street make a beautiful sight

Feels good to be scrapping again
Hope your Sunday is Fabulous

Hugs

She Scraps ! :)

Yes last night I actually sat down and scrapped a page. I don't think I have done any scrapping for a couple of weeks and it makes me seriously unhappy . You see since Anzac Day our heating has not been working and the last couple of weeks have been VERY cold, in the minus of a morning and night. Because of this I can't seem to get motivated to sit in my freezing office of a night to do anything, I am to cold to do anything at all much. I know I am whinging , but I have been very patient but my patience is running out , very let down by tradesmen, bar one lovely friend that is coming in the morning to try and help us out.  Anyway enough of that , but as well as being physically frozen, my creativity was becoming increasingly frozen as well ! I had lost motivation and started to wonder if I would get creative again. Anyway last night I thought "Just start!" get some paper and a photo and go for it. So I decided to do the colour challenge at http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/2012/05/yummyscrap-colour-palette-challenge-1.html

And don't forget the challenge over at Scrapthatsong http://scrapthatsong.blogspot.com.au/

The quote I used " Don't Let anyone Dull Your Sparkle" Suites my Granddaughter, as Amelia just Shines. She has the most beautiful smile that lights up a room and she just seems to sparkle.
The Background Paper is Kaiser and the Pattern Papers are Prima. The two little birds embellie is from D-Lish http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/ Big blue flower is from My2Angels http://www.my2angels.net/ all other flowers are Prima from Craftqueen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ as is the MME butterfly brad & the ruffled tulle. I have also used a Martha Steward Punch.
A couple of closies, taken at night, so pics not the best

Thanks so much for looking and I love to receive your feedback.
Also looking for inspiration and challenges  not to mention the awesome girls, visit the Boxx http://www.theboxx.scrapboxx.com/

Last weekend we went to Anna Bay for a get together with friends ( we do this every two years) always a good time

The Road trip begins

The beautiful ocean

Loving Life

View from our cabin

loving the water

and then time to head back to the country

I found myself thinking on the drive home, this is what life is all about ~ Spending time with friends, creating happy memories and travelling. Yep I think I need a full time job that has all those requirements , then wouldn't life be bliss.
Wishing you all a blissful weekend.

NEW CHALLENGE AT SCRAP THAT SONG

Hello my lovely friends

I am back from my little mini holiday with my DD and there is a new challenge up over at Scrap That Song http://scrapthatsong.blogspot.com.au/ , I would really love to see my cyberspace friends joining in and seeing your take on the challenge.... Please :)

The challenge is to scrap a song  that you have misheard the lyrics to, and sang happily away with what you thought the lyrics were. I know I have done this a LOT :)
For my layout I decided to scrap the fact that my Grandson sang the song "Six White Boomers, Snow White Boomers" to his words "Six White Poomers, Smell Like Poomers " Bless his little soul

I didn't realize till I posted the layout that when I have taken the photo the hidden Journal tag has slipped over the word smell, but you get the drift. The PP is Bo Bunny.

Now some pics from my holiday

It was a beautiful day at Darling Harbour
My daughter is scared of birds, so I guess it wasn't a good idea to tell her what was right behind her

About to go and see the production of  a Officer and A Gentleman

Lots of yummy brunches

Watson's Bay was beautiful

More Brunching .... Yum!

The Gap Sydney
Walked all around here. So that is a little snap shot of my holiday. So nice to spend a few days with my daughter.
Wishing you all Sunshine and Smiles

Big Blue Velvet Bow Ties and Gardens in Tivoli

Hello lovelies

I have a couple of layouts to share. The first one I did for a challenge over at Craftqueen, to scrap a wedding photo. Our wedding day over 30 years ago ! Yikes. Gotta love the big blue velvet bow ties hehehe

Not very often I do A4 size layouts, but I was happy with how this turned out. The Pattern Paper is Prima Fairy Belle Collection, and Fairy Belle Embellies and Prima Nature Garden journalling card. Prima flowers all from Craftqueen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/

Next is a layout for a challenge that Mazz set http://mazzarati.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/challenge-for-you.html the challenge is over at the Boxx http://www.theboxx.scrapboxx.com/

Yep another A4 Using prima Printery Patter Paper and a gorgeous dangly charm from My2Angels http://www.my2angels.net/ This lovely old water feature was in the gorgeous gardens of Ville D Este in Tivoli.
I wont be doing any scrapping for the next week :( as I am going on a little mini holiday :) My daughter has a few days off work, so I am going to spend a few days with her and for Mother's Day she is taking me to see A Officer and A Gentleman :) So looking forward to it.
Wishing you all a week of Sunshine and Smiles
