KAISER DT APPLICATION

I am feeling a little nervous as I type this and have butterflies  in my stomach, but........ I have decided to try out for the Kaiser DT. I thought I might chicken out, but here goes, fingers crossed someone likes my work. I find I use Kaiser products and Pattern Papers a LOT, so it would be so fantastic to be on the DT.
To apply to be on the DT I have to post a selection of at least 8 Kaisercraft Projects. I have scrapped some new layouts over the last few days and also posted some of my older layouts, (like I said I use Kaisercraft products  A LOT :), then it was choosing which ones to post. So no more procrastination, here is what I have chosen

Firstly A mini Album using the Magic Happens Range. This Range was perfect to use for My Granddaughter twirling in her fairy dress that Christopher and Chelsea gave her for her 6th Birthday. I was really happy with how it turned out

I created the butterfly by stamping a Kaiser stamp onto transparency and then placing it on top of Vellum to give it a soft effect

I added a Kaiser Rub onto the page

the gorgeous Kaiser Doiley , I LOVE doiley's and I seem to add them to most of my layouts
My Daughter In Law would like me to make her a album , so that is a good sighn  :)

For this layout I used the Lush Range, which I love. I love the Asian feel to this, it was perfect for a layout I did of a visit to the Japanese Gardens In Cowra. I love how the ranges come with the little journal Tag books. The lovely Jo sent me the handmade flowers

Next.....

I LOVE Scrapping our Overseas Pics (I have about a million left to scrap!) I used the Timeless Range for this layout of my son in Rome. I have used two Kaiser Stamps, the Journal Block & Vine  I stamped onto Transparency and oh look a Doiley!   The handmade flower and die cut I received in a Rak... thank you :)

For this layout I use the Love Notes Collection, isn't it divine! ~ the pp's that is, but I hope you think my layout is as well, I really love it as it is of my husbands parents and it makes me think of the movie "Love Story" with Ali McGraw and Ryan O'Neill ( now I am showing my age). It is such a pretty range, I cant help feeling romantic, so I thought of these pics straight away. I have used Crackle Paint on the Kaiser frame, and added Kaiser Lace and once again the little Journal Tags. I made the flower out of organza to continue the soft feel the photos give

I have used the Up Up and Away Range for this layout of Joseph and his Grandfather on holidays in Sydney many years ago. Love all the embellishments  that come with the range as well, like the buttons and tickets & hot air balloon. I just had to have this range when I saw it.

The Candy Lane Range is so happy and bright that I have used it on several layouts

I punched the butterflies and flower from the PP, I really liked using this range.

I have use the Timeless Range again for this Layout of my Mum and my Aunties. I have used Crackle Paint on the frame and made a handmade flower and used a Kaiser Brad for the Centre. The other flowers are from the Christmas Range, but I thought they were perfect for this layout to add a bit of colour. Oh and is that another Doiley I see?

I made this wooden Kaiser word for my scrap room. I wanted to keep it quite simple and not tizzy, so I painted it Red with Kaiser paint and the use Shaken Not Stirred Collection Pattern Paper which is perfect for the effect I wanted. I am loving all things red at the moment.

Another layout using the Love Notes Collection. Oh more Kaiser Doileys :) and the handy little journal tag. I have punched some butterfly's from the PP
used some paint and the handmade flower ,playing card and buttons were given to me by the gorgeous Gilly.

Oh and a couple of cards

The Doiley is actually not THAT pink IRL

Once again using the Love Notes Range with the little journal tags & surprise, surprise a Doiley which I added a Kaiser Brad and some Kaiser Lace, and I have used Kaiser stamps for the sentiment . I wanted to keep them simple and elegant.
OK so that's it. Thanks so much for looking, please leave a comment and tell me what you think. And.......fingers crossed. Now to hit the enter button

New Once Upon A Sketch Challenge

This is the new sketch over at http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/

The Criteria is to Journal as to why you scrapped this layout . I scrapped it to convey how much Our Granddaughter is loved and how much joy she brings to our lives. In the pics she is with her Great Grandparents ( my parents) and my Dad passed over nearly 3 years ago, so the pic is very dear to me. TFLX

Day at the Football

Also Yesterday we drove to Sydney to watch St George play Canterbury ( My Family are all mad Dragon Fans), all brain washed at birth I reckon. Any way I would much rather stay home and scrap but hubby wanted me to go and it was a opportunity to spend the day with our DD who was meeting us there. So the Fact I got to spend a few hours with Chels was worth sitting through the footy. And dont tell them but I enjoyed the day, well I enjoyed us being together :)

Layout for Show Us your Stuff

This is a layout for Show Us Your Stuff this month  http://www.showusyourstuff.blogspot.com/. I had my heart set on scrapping these pics, but wasnt sure how it would go with the colours that had to be used ~ Pink, Blue and Yellow. But I have to say I was really pleased with how it turned out :)

Weight loss Wednesday (on a Sunday), Bands and Cyber Crops

Well on the weight loss issue not to much to report. Still staying around the same weight give a few grams up or down. On a positive note my hubby and me are still walking 6ks every other day. I have decided no more jogging as I always have a bad back the next day and hubby has a bad back, so I think we will stick to fast walking.
Personally I am not that unhappy with my weight, I would just like to loose the tummy! I think thats were my whole 5kilos I want to loose is situated (if I could just reposition it up to my boobs)!
Last night my son and his band played their first gig and we went along, I have to say I was pleasently surprised and happy for them that it went so well. They had a lot of support and everyone seemed to be enjoying the night. Heres a few pics

On Friday Night we had a CC over at the Boxx, there were LOTS of awsome challenges and it was a lot of fun. All the girls are so beautiful and it was fun chatting. A couple of layouts from the CC

Thanks for looking, please leave a comment , dont be shy, so that I know you have popped by. Might go and try and get a layout started , I havent scrapped all weekend and I dont like it! I dont feel complete if I dont scrap (is that sad?) Ive done a lot of shuffling and blog hopping and looking for pics, but not to much actual creativity grrrrr & working full time for next 2 weeks double grrrrrrr. Oh well hope you all had a lovely weekend and you all have a super week
