School year 2015

First day of school for this Bountiful High School junior … would barely let me snap a picture of him pulling out of the driveway. haha

Forgot to take a picture of 9th grade officer, Haley, before school so luckily a friend took this one of the sweater crew ….

My beautiful 6th grader, Paige ...

And finally, 3rd grade…  The school has always known her as Noelle, but this year she's going by her nickname Elle.  :)

The rest of summer 2015 ...

Another successful Jam Bands camp … This time, Christian and the rest of Fortune of Error were the success story for the group.  Christian's Slash made a guest appearance (far right).

This Chrosie moment was epic :)

The younger girls & I had a few field trips together, while the older kids had camps and work.  Elle asked to take the train to Ogden to the Train Museum -- an excursion we've taken before.  Glad that I still have a couple of willing sidekicks.

Hipster pictures  ...

We also found this cool little restaurant with sweet seating ...

Took our annual trip to Lagoon, this time with Sydney ...

Haley spent a week in Logan at Retreat for Girls with her friend, Melissa.  She came home a happy girl.
Paige, Elle & I went to Pineview with the Activity Day girls….  These besties lucked out with a double rainbow.
First time paddle boarding ...

Had Mayfield cousins over for a sleepover and a trip to Fiiz...

Took these lovelies to the Imagine Dragons concert.  A-maze-ing concert.

And Haley recreated the Fall Out Boy album cover for their concert with Rosie.

Dr. Feller's party at Cherry Hill is a happy tradition, especially with Savannah.

Cousin campout in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard is also something Elle looks forward to every year.   This is the only time I got her to slow down for a pic.

I added a little interest to the wall in our bedroom.  Vinyl stickers -- easy change, lots of impact.

Warhol sisters.

Throwback picture of last summer (since I never blogged it) when our cute neighbor plowed into our mailbox.  Exploded like a bunch of legos...

Unintentional twinning with my mom.

These two were great sports by going on a triple date with their parents. :) Powells had 6 tickets to Joe Bonamassa, an amazing jazz guitarist, and his band.  Fun date night ...

Paige loved learning to bake this summer.  Cakes, cookies, red velvet belgian waffles ...

Also decided that she ought to be a princess :)

Haley added a purple section of hair, which sadly faded very quickly after a few washes.

After our annual girls' trip to St. George, we finished up the summer with a day trip to Jordanelle with Morleys, Hess's and Eddings.  It's always nice to have friends with toys. :)

Playing on the wave runners with my girls...

Fantastic summer! No one is ready for school but ready or not, here we come ….. :(

20 yrs of marriage, celebrated apart :(

Mike & I were married on August 7, 1995.  I remember him coming to pick me up that morning, driving to the SL Temple together and having such a fun, fun day.  Best decision I ever made was saying 'yes' to my Mr. Mayfield.

This year, I happened to be out of town over our anniversary.  So he sent me these beauties in St. George ...

… with this card attached. :)

Pretty awesome! When Krista and I arrived at the spa, they told us he had arranged for a couples' massage. haha  Good times having a couples' massage with my girlfriend friend. :)

We celebrated together the following weekend, first with dinner at The Paris and then zipping around on wave runners for a few hours at Pineview the next day.  Something we've never done together before.  So. Much. Fun.

I love you, my Mikey!  Best 20 years of my life. :)

St George '15

Our annual girls' trip to St. George with the Vriens's.  Love that family!

Road trippin'...

Elle found and caught this teensy, weensy baby lizard.

We also fell in love with this teensy little human. :) Bubba (aka Hanna)...

We all spent an afternoon at the reservoir, where we rented paddle boards and canoes.  Can you spot Haley's tiny face behind us?

We've also never gone to the St. George temple visitors' center, so we added that to our itinerary this time.

Cool find at the park ...

It's a flannel thing ...

We had quite the rainstorm while we were there, which resulted in rushing water in all of the gutters for several hours.  Perfect chance to play barefoot with your friends. :)  That house is the place of many happy summer memories for my girls.

On our way home, we decided to actually pull off of I-15 and check out the "scenic drive" that we've seen the sign for many times.  Oh my goodness!! Why hadn't we done that before? Kolob Canyon was worth the detour.
