Girls' weekend

Once in a great while, the stars align and a perfect girls' weekend occurs.  BYU holds an annual Women's Conference, which I've been to parts of a few times. But I haven't ever stayed for the whole thing and I haven't ever stayed on campus in the dorms with old roommates from years past … until this year. :)

These 3 girls roomed together at the Y for a couple of years, my pseudo-twin (in the middle) and I lived together after that, and my sister (on the right) was my roommate for my whole childhood. :) So, getting us all back together was quite the event.  It was a stay-up-until-4am-laughing-til-we-cried kind of girls' trip.  We were exhausted but none of us cared.

We parked ourselves in some comfy chairs and listened to some great (and some unintentionally comical) speakers.  Lounging with our feet up in this secluded little corner earned us some strange looks from the ladies sitting on uncomfortable bleacher seats.  Early bird gets the worm though, huh?

There's something so rewarding about spending time with people who have known you for so long, and know you so well.  We've seen each other at our dumbest moments and now as moms with grown and young kids.  Fun to be friends through so many chapters of life.  This little trip will definitely have to be a yearly get away from now on.
